How fast are new KDE releases packaged in ArchLinux?

So, I've been wondering how much time does it usually take for a new KDE release to become available via ArchLinux repositories?

KDE4.5 final is not coming out until August, presuming only 2 RCs.

but perhaps Anne-Marie meant July after all.
No she said what she meant I think.  You confused KDE4.4.5  with KDE4.5.

  • How often are new printers released?

    I am wanting to purchase the Officjet Pro 8000 but it was released in early 2009.  I don't want to buy one now and a few weeks from now find out that a new printer model is released.
    How often are new HP printers released?

    There's no set schedule. The MacBook Pro (non-retina) was last updated in summer 2012 so it's overdue for a refresh. I would check http://buyersguide.macrumors.com.
    If you can wait a few weeks, I would.

  • HT1688 How often are new phones generally shipped to the Apple stores?

    Does anyone know how often new iphone 5's are generally shipped to the stores?  Seems like they have been out since they were released.

    I figured.  Live in Nashville, so not the biggest market, but have 2 stores nearby in very nice malls and neither one of them have had any for in-store pickup all week.  Been on at 10 every night.  Frustrated.  Cancelled my order with AT&T because I ordered on the 14th and took them 2 days to process, putting me in the Oct 5th-15th window.  Total crap.  Guess i should have just sucked it up now.

  • How often are BE3000 updates released?

    Hello all,
    I am about to have a BE3000 installed at our new facility. I understand Cisco is working on a lot of functionality and bug fixes in the next release (8.6.5). I was just curious if there is timeline for how often updates are released? Thanks.

    Hi Tyler,
    There is no fixed timeline. However, notification of updates will be posted ahead on this support community.

  • How soon are new patches available?

    I don't see the adobe reader 9.3 update on my servers. How long does it typically take for new updates to be packaged for patch management?

    I don't have it either. I get most patches within a few days. If it's a "gotta have", I download the installer and build the bundle myself.

  • How fast is the new iPod Camera Connector

    I'm wondering how fast the new $29 Apple iPod Camera Connector is for offloading images from a fast CF card using a fast USB 2.0 card reader? (The older Belkin system for the regular iPods was too slow, in my opinion, to be usable for high capacity memory cards with lots of images.)
    If this new option from apple is fast, I'm going to buy an iPod photo right away!!!!!!!!!!!
    Thanks!

    Any chance that you can test with a card reader to see if that works? That is, can you plug an external card reader into the camera connector, remove the card from your camera and plug it in to the card reader, and transfer to the iPod that way? (This would allow one to not burn their camera battery while downloading the images, or to swap out cards and continue taking photos while the first card was dumped to the iPod.)
    The Coolpix 3200 is apparently not USB 2 / high-speed compliant, so especially cool would be if you could test with a camera or card reader (if that works at all) that supported USB 2, and report on the speed.
    (Yeah, I know I'm asking for a lot. Just in case you're able to check this out.)
    While we're at it - any other comments, pro or con, about the camera connector or experience so far?
    Thanks!

  • How much fast are the new iMac's?

    I've been looking at upgrading my G5 PowerMac for a while and now Apple has just updated the iMac. How much faster are the new models over the just superseded ones and my G5 (spec below).
    I mainly us it for my work with Photoshop CS2 and the G5 does a great job most of the time but is showing it's age. I was looking at the 2nd model but for not much more you can get the 27inch screen with better upgrade options.

    Hi Craig,
    even the very first 2006 released Intel iMacs were faster than the G5 iMacs including yours.
    See this Barefeats test http://www.barefeats.com/imcd3.html
    Check additional tests on Barefeats on older iMacs against newer ones http://www.barefeats.com/
    The new 2010 iMacs of any sort run circles around the 2006 iMacs, so you are in for a very pleasant surprise

  • I like the new rapid release, but I don't like how it's done.

    Hello Firefox users.
    I have a suggestion for your rapid release program. Ever since Firefox 2, I have been a loyal fan. Each update had a meaning and a purpose.
    Ever since Firefox 5, each update makes slight improvements to technologies that aren't even used by the majority of the web. I'm not criticizing the updates you give, but instead how they are delivered.
    Since Firefox 5, every 6~ weeks, a new firefox is released with a new version number. They offer little new.
    My suggestion is to stop increasing the main version number.
    When you go to your Firefox version, it says Firefox 7.0.1. At the this rate, the second digit of the firefox version will likely NEVER be used. How can they give a decent update in less than 6 weeks? That wont happen, they will include it in the next release.
    Instead I propose a slightly revised plan. Instead of increasing the main version number, increase the second version number.
    For example;
    Firefox 8 is coming out very soon, instead of releasing it as Firefox 8, instead release it as 7.1. Firefox 9 can be released as 7.2. Firefox 10 can be released as 7.3, and etc.
    Based on the old plan (before rapid release) a MAJOR update would be released very rarely. Example:
    Firefox 2.0 released October 24th, 2006
    Firefox 3.0 released June 17, 2008
    That's about '''1 3/4 years later'''! In that same time span, Firefox will have increased 15 version numbers! That means '''we will be at version 22 in 1 3/4 years'''!
    I am in no way suggesting reverting. The new rapid release helps get new technologies out there.
    Here is my plan:
    * Firefox 7.1 (8) Week #6
    * Firefox 7.2 (9) Week #12
    * Firefox 7.3 (10) Week #18
    * Firefox 7.4 (11) Week #24
    * Firefox 7.5 (12) Week #30
    * Firefox 7.6 (13) Week #36
    * Firefox 7.7 (14) Week #42
    * Firefox 7.8 (15) Week #48
    * '''Firefox 8.0 (16) Week #54'''
    The six week plan with incremental updates will give us Version 8 on Week 54, almost one year after Version 7. This will allow for technologies to be released without undermining the huge progress that was made from version Firefox 1.0 - 4.0.
    This will stop the large amount of complaints that Firefox has been receiving.
    The rapid release that Chrome uses works well because they started with it, and they are used to it.
    I hope Firefox will consider this plan instead of the old one. I cannot see any flaws in it, but if you can, '''please''' point them out, as I would like to either rebuttal them, or agree with them.

    They do, just may not seem to be as obvious or as big as the the Firefox 4.0 release was in abundance of features.

  • How many documents are there in this Package?

    Is there an easy way to determine how many documents are in an existing Package?
    At the moment I work around it by using Search on a character pretty much guaranteed to be in them all, but I'd expect it to be a property stored somewhere?
    Acrobat Pro v8.1.2

    Apple in a press release from 2012 claimed more than 45,000 movies, but did not provide any details as to that figure. And it changes rapidly, and it would be different for each country, so unless someone went in and counted them manually in your country's iTunes Store, there won't be an accurate figure available.
