How fast should FW800 be in this scenario?

I am copying 778gb from a ProVid Z 1tb Raid drive to an OWC Elite 2tb drive obviously using FW800 and I'm getting about 16mb a sec. Even though I'm copying from drive1 to drive2 on the same channel shouldnt I expect to be closer to 25-40mb per second?
The total copy time started at 15 hours.
No other firewire devices connected to FW400 or the 800.
Any input, suggestions or reading material suggestions greatly appreciated....

Transfer rates are entirely dependent on the average size of files being transferred. A lot of small files slow down the transfer rate considerably. The 25-40 MB/s you state (closer to 25) would more typically be for files averaging 256 KBs, whereas for what you are transferring the average may be closer to 4 KBs.

How to use Oracle Spatial in this scenario

My scenario is like that:
I'm very new to Oracle Spatial
I'm building an application that will be based on asp.net.(I am
confident about .net)
As per my client requirement there are some kml file in one archive
folder.
Let me give an example:
say there is a kml file for region A.(latitude say 36 n to 40 n and
longitude is 110 w to 115 w) already in the archive folder.
Now if a new kml file(say A1.kml) that has been created by the user
and say its latitude and longitude are respectively 37n and 112w. As we clicked A.kml, google earth is opened up for the region A and as
we move our mouse cursor to more deeper more polygons are visible.
eventually polygon for A1.kml is also visible and definitely which is
inside the polygon for region A.
How can I achieve this thing by using oracle spatial 10g? ---(it's one of my senior's advice to use "oracle spatial 10g" in this scenario)

How to implement virtual firewalls in this scenario?

One question for this scenarios
THere are two Physical Firewalls 5510 with 4 interfaces.
Firewall01
Interface 1 connected to ISP01 (outside)
Interface 2 connected to Inside network (LAN)
Interface 2 and 4 connected to two some intranet partners.Firewall 02
Interface 1 connected to ISP02 (outside)
Interface 2 connected to Inside network (LAN)So my question is:
Could i implement 2 Virtual FIrewalls on only one of the physical firewall, and implement services of virtual firewalls the same as the physical one?
So could i designate a physical interface, to more than one virtual firewall?If possible, i could implement Active/Pasive on two physical ones, and have all the configuration as in actual schema.

You can configure multiple virtual firewalls in one physical ASA, it is called multiple context firewalls in ASA.
You can configure Active/Standby failover in 2 ASAs, and with multiple context mode, it is called Active/Active failover. It means that you can have for example Context A and B active on ASA-1 and Context C active on ASA-2, and Context A and B standby on ASA-2, and Context C standby on ASA-1.

Not sure how i should go about creating this flash to accomplish what i need.

First let me start by saying my flash file is currently 740kb
in .swf form and I'm not done with it. I'm taking this which was
developed from another developer and trying to customize it to work
for what i need. The flash was bought from template monster. I'm
using actionscript 2.0 in the flash.
Is 740kb big for a flash file that is basically an entire
website?
I'm trying to make this flash load as fast as possible while
implementing the best practices so i can use it for future
projects. Also i would like advice on using various techniques to
accomplish some functionality.
The flash file i'm working on is basically like a brochure
for a client. It consists of "8" main pages, along with several sub
pages.
I have the following questions though.
1. Currently the navigation is on the left hand side, and has
a mouse over animation as well as sound effects with rollover and
being clicked. The mouseover effect just moves the text to the
right a little and brings it back to the original position..
However each button in is an individual movie symbol.
- Should I consolidate the navigation so it's one movie
symbol instead of 8 movie symbols on one page? Keeping in mind that
even if i do make it just 1 symbol i might need to add the 8
navigation movie symbols into that one to maintain the animation.
- Should the buttons even be movie symbols or is there a
better way this should be done?
2. Because of the text for each page, I was using adobes
built in scrolling component for the dynamic text boxes.
Considering there is more then 8 dynamic text instances converted
to graphic symbols.... Is there a more efficient way of doing this,
or is the above method just fine?
3. The flash file contains a photo gallery. Currently all the
images from the gallery are in the same flash file. I was thinking
it would be more efficient to load the images in the gallery from
external .swf files. However i'm not sure if that would be the best
method, and i'm also not sure how to correctly accomplish within
standards.
4. I would like to implement a contact form within the flash
so users can contact me.
5. I would also like to have a testimonials page where users
can submit testimonials. However i'm not sure how to create the
form, but i had an idea on displaying the text in the flash using
xml so it can be easily updated . Just not sure on the proper and
more efficient way of doing this.
6. I would also like an event calendar that displays within
the flash. Was thinking of having this loaded from an external .swf
file as well. Would like the calendar to be xml based so I can
update it myself. Don't need nothing advance, just something that
says "Busy", "Not Busy", and "Book" which would just take them back
to the contact form to book me.
I know many of you don't know who i am, but I would really
appreciate some assistance. Whether its sample flash files, links
to tutorials, advice, anything.
I really want to do all of the above, but also as i'm
learning i would like to make sure i'm doing the above in the most
efficient way possible and up to standards while also keeping the
size low. Would like to do it right the first time, so as i
continue making flash files in the future I'm not writing sloppy
actionscript coding, having sloppy timelines, and or having sloppy
structure in my .fla files.
Also i know alot of you are very busy people, and i'm not
asking for you to do the flash for me but any and all help will be
very greatly appreciated.

Wow, you're really looking to get your money's worth here. :)
I haven't read through your entire list of questions, but
I'll do what I can to help - others here will probably have
different ideas, so feel free to pick and choose which (if any - or
all) you want to integrate.
1. So far, my experience has been that the people that create
the templates on TemplateMonster have a pretty good handle on what
they are doing, and have done what they do for a pretty good
reason. Unless you are quite good at ActionScript, I probably
wouldn't make any major changes to the back end. After all, you
bought the template for a reason. If you want to move the buttons
around the stage, great - edit them to change the colors, great.
But to try to create a button array may be more than you want to
bite into here. That said, it can be done. I've done it. If you
want a sample of the code, drop me an e-mail and I'll send it to
you. FYI: I only do AS3.0 at this point. If your template is in AS2
then one of the other Flash gods would be better suited for code
samples.
1a. The buttons are movie clips for a reason - flexibility.
Leave them as movie clips unless you really like migraines.
2. I hate having to convert text to symbols, but sometimes it
is the most efficient (or only) way to do things. If you want to do
any tweens with the text, it has to be a symbol.
3. You can load the photos from external SWF's or you can
load the JPG's directly using XML. If you are using AS3, I know
that there is tight, simple integration with XML. I'd review a
couple tutorials on XML from some place like www.tutorialized.com
to get a feel for it. Also, look up "Working with XML" in the Flash
Help file (F1). Once you have decided on an approach, come back
here with specific questions and you will get good answers.
4. Doable. Search these forums for "Email from Text Box".
This was covered several times in the last couple of days.
5. XML is one option. You can even have XML give a photo of
the person doing the testimonial and load it all into a single
page. What you can do with this is limited only by your
imagination. This is a very broad question.
6. Someone posted a message about a calendar on here today.
Search for "Calendar" and I'm sure you will get some ideas from
there. Also (and again) www.tutorialized.com is a great resource
for general code and ideas.

How fast should I be able to download?

I have had BT infinity for 2-3 months now, and I never seem to get a download speed of more than 4 megs a second
It can start at 6 every once in a while, last about 10 seconds and then quickly run down to 3-4 megs and sit there until the d/l is finished.
According to the BT speedtest my internet is 78mbps down and 20mbps up.
Anyone able to through the numbers I should be getting in my direction?

ATM I cannot even stream a video, yet I can stream is perfectly on my mobile phone. Havn't been very impressed with the servive from BT so far, I requested a call back from an engineer about poor speeds most of the time, and nothing this was 2-3 weeks ago.

How can I stop sounds in this scenario

Hello, I need help.
I need to load in an external .swf file into my new movie and
stop the sound/music that is playing from the external swf file. I
need the sound/music to stop immediately on frame one. I don't have
the fla to the external swf file as it is years old. Can someone
help me with this? I know there is "stopallsounds();" but I don't
think I'm using it right because it won't stop the sound when I
play the new exported swf.
So to recap - I've loaded in a .swf on frame one (into a
blank movie clip) - and on another layer tried to add the
"stopallsounds();" action - music still plays - HELP!

Load the swf in movie clip holder and give it instance name
"someNameHere",
than use the sound object to define the instance name as
Sound Object's target
and use the regular volume control to mute it. By setting it
that way you control
the movie clip volume (holder mc) and anything within.

How fast should I be able to go wirelessly??

Linksys Wireless Router WRT54G
I have a 3Mbit Internet connection with one PC hard wired and two PCs using the signal wirelessly. When I do a speed test on the hard wired PC, my speed is right where it should be, at 3Mbits.
When I test my speed wirelessly I get speeds of around 1.8Mbps.
The signal from my router is excellent and shows a speed of 54Mbps. So my question is, SHOULD my wireless router be giving me better speeds, and what, if anything, can I do it help it?
I have my router set to G only and am using two laptops, a Sony Vaio with wireless G and a Dell laptop also using wireless G.

It's normal for internet speed to slow down wirelessly. The router attempts to share the broadband connection properly to the 2 laptops. Thefore resulting in a minor slowdown.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that DTD doesn't support that. You're probably better off declaring the name attribute to be of type PCDATA and tokenizing the value manually in code.

How fast should iPhone be on network?

I have two AEs, one configured to extend the network, which is both 5 and 2.4. Mac laptops have a speed of a little over 6 MBps when latching onto the extended AE, but our iPhones are generally very slow, but inconsistently so. Speedtest.net shows them anywhere from 0.16 to 3.49 Mbps. Is there anything I can do to speed up the phone connection? Thanks!

Unfortunately, this is a "nature of the beast" with the iPhone operating system.
Even if you have the iPhone close the extending device, the iPhone will tend to connect back to the main router, not the closer "extending" device.
If you normally use the iPhone close to the "extending" device, you could delete the current wireless connection on the iPhone and set up a new connection with the device very close to the "extending" router to see if it might "lock" on to that device rather than the "main" device.
No guarantees, but worth a try. I average 3-4 Mbps on the iPhone here on a 6 Mbps connection at the moment.

When I click on a Firefox update My Mac Mini Os 10.4 just keeps running how long should I wait for this update to complete.

a. 20 thin clients (with OS Windows 7 Embedded Edition)
b. Two physical servers Core1 and Core2, with 64GB of RAM, 2 socket CPU, 8 cores, OS Windows Server 2012 R2, and HyperV roles
c. two domain controllers as child virtual machines with 2 GB running (PDC on Srv1 and BDC on Srv2)
d. ExchangeServer 2013 running as child vm on Core1, with 32 GB RAM.
I've licenses for Windows Server 2008 R2, and Windows Server 2012, and MS office 2013
I want clients, after to connect with RDP, to use outlook 2013 for emails.
Now, i want to setup services for 20 thin clients. This is new for me...and i want your suggestions how to setup up them on this scenario. Have i to use RDP services, or VDI???

According to your comment, I can say that Share permissions are automatically set up by the management tools once it will be created. We can use windows PowerShell or server manager to manage UPD. Also remember that User profile disks are for a single collection
only. A user connecting to two different collections will have two separate profiles.
