We are trying to develop a program to get a list of all documents of certain doc. type from DRAW table,retrieve all the attachments for these docs ,read these attachment files- to validate data, merge them into a single file.
from some analysis I've done to achieve this, I think we'll have to use BAPIs :BAPI_DOCUMENT_GETLIST2 and BAPI_DOCUMENT_CHECKOUTVIEWX to get the docs list and read the files.But, I am not really sure how to proceed further once we get the attachments, Can you plz share your thoughts on this . I'd appreciate your help.

BDS: How do I save an attachement to the application server?

Dear all
I have following problem:
We have certain attachements to an object in this case an XML file. These attachements are viewable via the Business Document Navigator and can be exported manually in foreground from there.
But how do I export (copy) it in background towards a directory on the application server? I don't seem to find any function capable of doing that.
So currently I'm thinking of reading the contents (via BDS_BUSINESSDOCUMENT_GET_TAB) and storing it myself via OPEN DATASET on the application server... but if there would be a more general approach I would rather use that.
Please advice!

How can i open a attachment with the fileextension .note sent from an Ipad

A friend of mine sent me an email from his Ipad with an attachment which has the extension .note. How can I open this file on my Mac?

It appears that this extension is related to the ipad app 'notability'. It would have to be exported as a pdf or rtf file to be opened.
You can do some googling, but might be better if the sender converts the file to something more common and sends again.

Seeing that none-one has bitten on this, I will have a very quick nibble.
Dealing with attachments can be complex - especially if binary. Attachment will be (should be) encoded using 7 bits. This requires you to un-encode it.
Attachments also require you to parse the mail body looking for the attachment boundary markers (as specified in the e-mail header).
The RFCs detailing the Internet Message Body and attachments will have the actual gory technical stuff.
It will make a lot more sense when looking at an existing MIME message ("raw" e-mail) when reading these RFCs - as you can fairly easily see how the MIME message was created with the attachment boundaries and headers.
Of course - also realise that as soon as you have decoded that attachment into a "proper" binary for your platform, you have a potentially malicious payload that could be "accidentally" executed. So safe guards are also needed.

Mail Receiver and Attachment Issue - how to get an attachment into the body

I have an abap proxy that sends a simple message to XI with a pdf attachment. XI maps the xml message to the Mail Adapters Mail Package format.
To have the email sent with the PDF attachment I must click the "keep attachments" option. However this also has the side-effect of making the message payload an attachment as well (seems silly?). Therefore I get an email with two attachments: one is the PDF and the other is the plain text that should be in the email body.
The question is: How do I get that plain text attachment back into the Message Body ? I have tried all combinations of the MessageTranformBean and the PayloadSwapBean with no luck.
I can easily change the names of the attachments with the MessageTransformBean but if I set the text attachment to Transform.ContentDisposition inline, it still just comes out as an attachment. And, if I use the payloadswapbean the adapter log says it corectly swapped the right payload however the email still comes out with the text as an attachment!!
Any ideas on how I can do this? Is it a bug in the module beans?
(I'm using MS Outlook as the email client.)
Maybe I need to write my own module bean to do this... If I set keep attachments to OFF, can I still set the PDF attachment with my own modules (the reason I ask this is that with keep-attachment OFF, the message body correctly has the text in it...

Ah, do you mean it's showing in the header bar?
If so, hold cmd (⌘) while you drag it off to the desktop. It'll disappear in a puff of virtual smoke.
Don't worry, you won't lose the file; the icon in the header (and those in the sidebar) is just an alias.

On Demand doesn't support adding attachments via web services. One
solution I've seen is depending on the scenario is to create a web link
field on an object that's based on a custom text field. Your web service
can populate that custom field and the web link can generate a dynamic
link to the file in On Demand's UI. However, this depends on where the
attachment is located and if the user needs some sort of firewall access.

Whenever I send an e-mail with my yahoo account which is also my apple ID a small icon (personal) picture is attached to the e-mail. How do I remove this picture from being attached to all of my outgoing messages?

Everytime I send a message from my yahoo account (which is also my appleID account) a small icon picture (which is a pic of my ex-boyfriend) is attached to the e-mail heading. I'm able to notice I want to remove this from happening. The picture is displayed on my iphone when I open up the mail.
Steps I take:
1. I write an e-mail message from my yahoo account to my other .edu account on a desktop computer.
2. I send the e-mail message from my yahoo account to my other .edu account on a desktop computer.
3. When I open up my .edu account on my iPHONE, there is a new message from my yahoo account.
4. Upon opening the e-mail message on my iPHONE, in the title heading it has the title of the email along with a small (upper right) picture on the iPHONE.
Another thing that I tested was the same thing on my iPAD for text messages:
1. I set up my text messages to my yahoo account (which is also my apple ID account)
2. I send a text message to a person and the same small icon picture is shown on the ipad with each message that is sent
3. The person receiving the text message does not get the small icon picture; however, on the ipad it shows this picture (WHICH NEEDS TO BE REMOVED)
I need to determine how this icon picture is associated with both my yahoo and apple ID account. The funny thing is that I don't have this picture on any of my devices (mac, iphone, ipad). It has been completely removed from all of my technology sources. I'm thinking it has to be something to do with the origniation of my apple ID.
PLEASE HELP ME....this picture is hurting my professionalism when I send outgoing messages.

Correct. The difference between "Mail PDF" and "Save PDF" is that the first opens a new Mail message with the file attached. the second saves a file which you may attach to an email message.

Not familiar with Terrainathome, but my guess is that the company is sending an email message containing HTML code that downloads what's essentially a web page into the displayed message. To do that, you'll need a website, software that will produce the necessary HTML code, and recipients with email clients capable of interpreting HTML (which is 'most email clients' these days).

I did little research and found that we can attach any attachment to Interactive form.
1.Get the XLS attachment(You can add File Upload UI Element(Say XLS) to your Application and Bind data,filename and mime Type Properties)   with this , user can choose the XLS file to be attached from Desk top.
2. In the Interactive UI Element,bind the property "pdfsource" (Say PDF_SOURCE), this will contains the PDF in xstring format.
3. Add a button (Say Attach XLS) on the application and add an Action Method.(Say ADD)

How do I move a clip with transitions attached on the primary storyline?

One more frustrating problem with the mysterious magnetic timeline: on the priumary storyline I created a text clip with a gap clip on each side, then added cross dissolve at the beginning and end of the clip so that it fades in and out to black:
Now I want to reposition this text in the timeline, mantaining the fade in/out at the head and tails. In FCP7 this was simple as a gap in the timeline simply showed black and the clip could be moved as one piece. In FCPX when I try to move the text clip with the P position tool, the transitions disappear after repositioning. Extremely frustrating:
If I select the clip and the fades together, plus the gap clip at the end, and move them together with the Position tool then the fade out is retained, but the fade in still disappears. I've also tried rolling from the fade in from the gap clip before it, but instead of rolling the clip ahead this shortens the fade (I think the behavior of trimming and rolling transitions is totally wacky). The trim tool is also useless in this situation as you can only select one edit point at a time with it.
The only solution I found is to cut the gap clip before the transition, then move the text clip and transitions with the P tool. This will create two abuting gap clips before the text clip, but allow the transitions to remain intact. Not hard, but annoying to have to do
Often I have to adjust the position of a text clip in the timeline like this after adding the transitions to get the timing right. Is there any way to move the clip while retaining the transitions at the beginning and end? It would be so much easier to be able to roll the edges of the gap clips so that I didn't have to make extra edits and workarounds.
The problem seems to be that the gap clip acts as like a regular black slug video clip in some cases, but not in other case. When you move a clip in the primary storyline a gap clip is automatically created to fill a gap -- okay, fine. But you can roll the edges of a video clip with the P tool, but not a gap clip. ***?
I'm using the latest update, 10.0.8. I will be submitting this to Apple as well....

I am trying to move the text clip forward with the transitions still attached. The difference is that in FCP7 you can leave a gap before a dissolve and it will fade in from black. If you move the text clip, the dissolve moves with it, still attached.
In FCPX however, the gap has to be a gap clip. So the dissolve is attached to both the gap clip and to the text clip. Once you put the dissolve on the edit point, there is no way to move the text clip forward or back on the timeline without deleting the dissolve. Or, if you move the clip forward or back with the Position tool (necessary to create a gap) then the transitions just disappear.
Basically, I am looking to roll the transition with the clip.
I could use the opacity handle on the text clip (using "show video animation") in stead of a dissolve, but then I have no control over the shape of the dissolve curve and I'd have to add extra handles to the text clip to center the dissolve where I want it.

This is true, but clips behave differently when you you roll with the P tool vs the A tool. With the A tool, other clips are magnetically rippled forward or back on the timeline to maintain their relative relationship and avoid all gaps. With the P tool, video clips maintain their position on the timeline, creating or trimming gap clips when a gap is created or filled. The problem arises when a transition is attached to the clip you are moving or trimming.
I understand in priniciple why it behaves the way it does, but it's inconvenient in this case, and inconsistent with the normal behavior of gap clips when a transition isn't involved.
In my mind the transition should be anchored to the video clip, not to both the video and gap clip when there is a transition between the two.

If you no longer have the old computer this will be very helpful and If you have other content - apps, books, movies, that you want to transfer to the iTunes library - you need to transfer your purchases from the iPod to the computer as well.
