How Get Back to Store W/O Quitting?

Once I’m in the iTunes Store (using ITunes, v.7.4) & buy something, I have to quit iTunes & then launch it again to get back to the Store.
Any workaround If I don't wish to quit each time?

Hold the Option key down as you click on the iPhoto icon to run it. It will then display the available iPhoto Libraries and ask which one to use.

I did a 3 finger reset to get rid of the problem with social and Nokia maps check in app. As a result I lost Nokia store and Nokia maps (along with several other apps which I can easily install again) altogether. Several of my attempts to re download store have fallen flat.I downloaded the Nokia store qml from bela labs. It tries to install upto almost the end and then says "unable to install". Seems something is missing. How shall I get my store back?

Anyhow a big lesson to you all. Never ever perform 3 finger reset unless nothing else can be done. Better visit Nokia care than doing a 3 finger "suicide". Because you as bound to lose maps, store , photo & video editors and a big lot of preinstalled apps. Even qt library loses some of the components. No restoring from backup will help you get your things back.

How "Get Back" Lost Internal ("Macintosh HD") Drive?

I already have a thread on the forum, but I thought I'd start a separate thread to address a very limited, but perplexing, question:
After unsuccessfully running Disk Repair from the Installation disc, I "lost" my internal drive (called "Macintosh HD", I believe). That is, it doesn't appear in my list of devices in Finder, doesn't appear in the list of devices in Disk Utility and doesn't appear on my desktop.
The disk probably needs to be repaired, but I can't do anything until I get the drive back. It's as if it was ejected (which it wasn't).
Can anyone tell me how to get it back?

Worth checking Finder preferences. Click on the desktop Finder>Preferences>General and make sure there is a tick against 'Hard Disks', then click on the Sidebar tab and make sure Hard Disks is ticked. Not sure this will solve your problem but it's a good starting point.
To repair the disk you will need to startup from your OSX install disk - disk in drive and startup holding down the 'C' key. After the 'choose your language' screen from the Menu Bar select Utilities>Disk Utility then select your Macintosh HD (hoping it's listed) and 'repair disk'

How get back my pictures in iPhoto lost after installing mac cloud?

Yesterday, Nov 13/11 I installed Mac Cloud. Today I opened iPhoto to discover that all the photos and albums had disappeared. I made a recovery from Time Machine which turned out identical to the new "cloud" version i.e. totally empty. Where have the pictures gone? Please let me know how to retrieve the photos I had stored in my former iPhoto application?

Open System Preferences > iCloud
Deselect the box next to Photo Stream then reselect it.
Now for your music. Launch iTunes. From the iTunes menu bar top of your screen click iTunes > Preferences then select the Store tab.
Select: Music. (and Apps and Books) if you want.
Click OK.
iCloud syncs via your Wi-Fi network so give it a minute or two to reset your photos and music.
Slow internet ... try turning off the modem for a few minutes, then turn it back on.

It depends on exactly what you did; or did not do; also on what backups you may have.
Firefox tries to automatically keep some auto restore copies of bookmarks and history. If you do an uninstall and reinstall of firefox it will give you the option to retain personal data.
If you have previously explicitly made backups of bookmarks etc by exporting them, it should be relatively straightforward to recommence using those files. If that option is not available, what about your ordinary backups , do they include the bookmarks.

Quit Mail. Force quit if necessary.
Back up all data. That means you know you can restore the Mail database, no matter what happens.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar. Paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V, then press return.
A folder window will open. Inside it there should be files with names as follows:
Envelope Index
ExternalUpdates.storedata
Move those files to the Desktop, leaving the window open. Other files in the folder may have longer names that begin as above. Move those files, if any, to the Trash.
Relaunch Mail. It should prompt you to re-import your messages. You may get a warning that the index is damaged and that Mail has to quit. Click OK. Typically, the process takes a few minutes, but it may take hours if you have gigantic mailboxes. In that case, you may be able to speed things up by temporarily adding your home folder to the Privacy list in the Spotlight preference pane. Remove it when Mail has finished importing.
Test. If Mail now works as expected, you can delete the files you moved to the Desktop. Otherwise, post your results.

You don't have the game or the game data?
Games can be redownloaded in the App Store app. If the game offers in-app purchases, there is a setting in the game that allows you to redownload past purchases.
If you haven't back up, my first question is why? Even if you get the game back, your progress may not be retained. You may still have hope if the developers save your user progress either on their serers or in Game Center. You can only try and hope that is the case.

I can download it, or refuse it.. and then it takes me to the ITunes store.

You can't put music directly onto your iPod from a memory stick. You can, however, get iTunes to recognize the tracks on the stick without having to copy them to the computer. Go to the iTunes Advanced preferences and uncheck the option to "Copy files to iTunes Media folder when adding to library". Then use the Add to Library command or drag the tracks into the iTunes window. iTunes will recognize the track files on the memory stick and allow you to sync them to the iPod. Note that when you remove the memory stick, iTunes will of course then not be able to play nor sync the tracks until you put the stick back in. It may therefore be better to just clear some space on your computer's hard drive.
