How get browser URL from portlet JSR-168?

I use Oracle Portal. And I have problem.
How get browser URL from portlet JSR-168?

Normaly it is
http://server:port/portletContextRoot
Did you create the portlet with JDeveloper? When you dpeloy the portlet to your application server, JDeveloper should output the URL of the portlet test page in the deployment output feedback.

  • Get browser url from 11g form?

    Is there any function to get the current url of the browser that the 11g form applet is running in?
    Or at least the server:port part?
    Thanks

    In version 11 you can use javascript to extract the browser url. For example:
    Declare
         JS_in      varchar2(32767);
         rtn     varchar2(1024);
    Begin
         -- JS_in is the javascript funtion you want to call.
         JS_in := 'location.href';
         rtn := WEB.JAVASCRIPT_EVAL_FUNCTION (JS_in);
         -- "rtn" should contain the complete URL as seen in the browser address bar.
         -- Do something with rtn.
    End;

  • Secure AJAX calls made from a JSR 168 portlet

    I am investigating methods to secure AJAX calls made from a JSR 168 portlet to a servlet using the Direct Web Remoting framework (DWR) and Weblogic Portal. The portlet can have more than one instance and different entitlements depending on the desktop it is available from. The Portal has several desktops and does not require the user to authenticate for some of the desktops.
    So far the only method I have come up with is to pass a token from the portlet to the servlet which indicates the entitlements the user should have to access the documents from the portlet and check in the servlet if the User has the appropriate global roles to access the documents.

    no , that doesn't work, the token passed can be modified by a malicious user (unless the token is random or signed)
    You need to store the desktop(s) the user is on in probably the HttpSession and read that from the servlet and make the decisions accordingly.

    I would like to know the URL is the user using in order to use his IP to open something else from the system.

    I think you can get a URL from/with a PJC (java pluggable component) from/with IHandler interface..
    Try this bean.. You have a property with name HOST_URL.. (with some modification you can also read applet parameters).. (I have done this now but I have not jet tested it)....but I thik this should work...
    You have also other parameters to get client IP addres and hostname...

  • Local portlet (jsr 168) in separate webapp possible?

    I have a running portal webapp with some portlets inside (from the tutorials).
    Now I want to add a jsr 168 portet to the portal. The portlet is to be in a separate webapp. I already have it as a war file, if possible I would like to drop the import the war in the portal as a local portlet. Is this possible?
    In pluto (running on tomcat) the portal webapp can "see" the local portlets in other webapps through the crossContext="true" setting for webapp contexts.
    It is not possible for me to pack multiple portlets in a single webapp, since:
    - if possible I would like to deploy already packed war files
    - I use JSF (the required bridge to JSR-168 is already part of the webapp) which uses webapp-wide context-params and also faces-config.xml and other resources, making it impossible to mix multiple JSF portlets inside a single webapp.
    Thanks in advance

    No - this does not go through WSRP. WLP does bypass web services, SOAP,
    HTTP etc when you are running in what is called a local proxy mode. This
    mode is like a method call from the portal web app to your portlet web
    app.

    You mean you have to go through WSRP, even in the local VM? Is there no way to have a truely local portlet (JSR-168 directly without WSRP) in another webapp when running in the same WLS instance?

  • Automator Stops Responding while trying to perform "Get Image URLs from Webpage"

    I have seen it in many tutorials, and it seems strait forward enough, so here is my order of events for my scriptl;
    Get Current Webpage from Safari
    Get Image URLs from Webpage [linked from these webpages]
    Download URLs [Downloads]
    However when I run this script it returns the get current webpage quickly but then hangs on Get Image URLs from webpage either never passes or takes 700+ seconds to move to the next step.
    The times it did pass to the next step it worked 98% still missed images occasionaly.
    After I figure out how to fix this issue, I am looking for a way to make it create a new folder, and name it according to the sub directory of the webpage, for example:
    http:\\www.mypictures.com\Birthday\01.JPG
    http:\\www.mypictures.com\Birthday\02.JPG
    would create folder Birthday, and save images 1 and 2
    Then in the future I want to download another set such as;
    http:\\www.mypictures.com\MothersDay\01.JPG
    http:\\www.mypictures.com\MothersDay\02.JPG
    As these are both named 01.JPG the sets would overwrite, or add strange numbers and not divide by set by default;
    So I need this script to create folders based on Directory (portion of url)  In my example it would be MothersDay, and Birthday folders.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks in advance!

    I should add, it has simply frozen and stopped responding about 95% of the 20 times or so I have run it. I have tried rebooting (not sure if that helps on Mac, I'm still new to the OS been a windows user for a long time but so far I love my Mac).

  • Portlet JSR 168

    hi ..
    I can add navigation parameters to portlet JSR 168 by adding the parameters in oracle-portlet.xml .. where it is the only way for portlet communication .
    now I create JSF Application and expose it to JSR 168 -by adding portlet.xml file - it work good but I want to add navigation parameters for this portlet , how ??
    thanks

    You need to deploy to a WLS and then register the WSRP producer to your consuming application.
    You can read my paper about portlets: http://www.yonaweb.be/sites/default/files/ipc_0.pdf
    It explains the basic on how to create and consume portlets in WebCenter 11.1.1.3

  • How to get current URL from Internet Explorer ?

    Hi,
    I have design an add-on for IE and I'm
    trying to get URL from IE which is currently opened that is which is currently user sees. Is there any way to get it? I want to store that address in label and use it for something useful. Is it possible with C# ?
    I have did the following code to get current URL but it showing last opened URL instead of current URL which is user see
    using SHDocVw;
           SHDocVw.ShellWindows shellWindows = new SHDocVw.ShellWindows();
                         string filename;
                         foreach (SHDocVw.InternetExplorer ie in shellWindows)
                             filename = Path.GetFileNameWithoutExtension(ie.FullName).ToLower();
                             if (filename.Equals("iexplore"))
                               label1.Text=ie.LocationURL;
                               label1.Text = ie.LocationName;
    and I have tried this one also
    foreach (InternetExplorer ie innew ShellWindows())
       label1.Text = ie.LocationURL.ToString();
       label2.Text = ie.LocationName.ToString();
    Please give me any suggestion or code to solve this problem.
    Thanks.
    Priyanka

    You already got addon running in the active ie instance. You just need to catch the WindowStateChanged event in every instance so you can write down the last event with OLECMDIDF_WINDOWSTATE_USERVISIBLE somewhere. When you need the active IE instance, just
    pull from your save.
    Note an IE tab may crash and take your addon with it. It is better to start a broker process to store your global data.

  • Calling browser/URL from the link on webpage

    Dear Experts,
    My requirement is, I have a webdynpro component, I need to add a link on particular view which calls another webpage(either in a new window or in same window) if I click on that.
    To fulfill my requirement I used CALL_BROWSER FM.
    The problem here is am getting dump from the FM.
    Dump text:
    Error in the ABAP Application Program
    The current ABAP program "CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES======CP" had to be
    terminated because it has
    come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
    Am getting this error from cl_gui_frontend_services=>execute (inside CALL_BROWSER)
    Please guide me how to proceed here (I guess I should not use CALL_BROWSER since already am in browser).

    To open a URL in a separate window you can use the following code,

  • Java Portlet (JSR 168) development with Portal

    Hello,
    We have been trying to dive back into Portal development lately. The release of 9.0.4 with support for standards-based portlets has convinced us to begin looking at 9iAS Portal as a practical portal product. We have a development environment setup with a workin 9.0.4 portal.
    Digging through the available docs on the portal studio site, I have come across a couple documents alluding to the installation of a portlet-container. Now, I have already downloaded the JSR 168 framework files. It seems that a good portion of this 'portlet container' consists of these files.
    The problem is that the documentation that is available is nothing more than a step by step set of instructions for setting up an OC4J instance with this 'portlet container', configuring an Oracle database for portlet customizations, and deploying a sample ear into the OC4J instance.
    This does nothing for me.
    What I want is documentation that indicates the requirements necessary to make a JSR-168 compliant portlet (even a 'hello world') exposed through portal with the least amount of effort, and with no references to proprietary tools. I would like to see instructions that are tailored towards a generic J2EE provider, not an OC4J one. I already have a very functional set of tools that should be able to accomodate a JSR-168 producer. We have had many problems with OC4J leading us to try to avoid it at all costs.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!
    -Sean

    Hello
    I am probably not clear.
    In the OracleAS Portal architecture Java portlet are remote from the portal middle tier.
    In the non standard world (JPDK Portlet), the Portal Middlet tier use SOAP over HTTP to call the portlets.
    In the Standard world (JSR-168), the Portal Middle Tier will use WSRP (Web Service Remote Portlet) to call the portlets. When you use the Oracle JSR-168 container inside OC4J, these portlets are automatically accessible over remotely using WSRP.
    So, as you can see the Portal Middle Tier needs to support WSRP to be able to use JSR-168 portlet. And OracleAS 10g 904 does not currently support WSRP registration. It is why we have the "OracleAS Portal Verification Service for WSRP", to allow you to test your portlet.
    To be able to use JSR-168 (with WSRP) portlet on you internal Portal you'll have to install the OracleAS Portal Standard Developer Preview that will be available soon.
    Hope that clarify my previous statements.
    Regards
