How get email address from received email?

In the old days, like 6 months ago, I could depend on being able to salvage an intended recipient's email address from a note they sent to me. Just click on the name in a received email, then open a "new" email under that address, bang out the message, and send it. Not any more. How do I do it? This seems like a really stupid change. Why does it require complication?

There are several ways. First is to double click the message and the message should appear on-screen with the complete address. Next is you will see a small down arrow like in my example below, click it and you will get the info you need.

Hold your finger down in that mail until the little blue bubble pops up. One of the options should be to select all. Choose that and all will be hilighted. then a pop up comes up to copy, choose that, open your destination and hold your finger down to get the paste dialogue.

Highlight it and then right click, select Copy. then go to the new email you are writing and place the cursor in the TO field and right click, select Paste.

I had gone through the links given , but it doesn't answer my question completely. I think i need a java code to send dynamically generated filename to be send to dynamically generated email ID.
The file name and the email Id is available in the sender adapter.
This filename should be send as attachment to the Email Id using receiver Email adapter.

Send list of addresses from received email into new group?

I got an email addressed to me and about 30 other people (all in the To: line). None of these people is in my address book. Is there some way to create a new group with all their addresses without first adding each one of them one-by-one into my address book? I know I can click on each name and add them with a couple of clicks, but I'd like to know if there is a faster way.

Thanks for the suggestion; I'll give the scripts a try. Normally I'm wary of scripts for core OSX apps (Safari, Mail, iTunes, etc.) because they can be a source of problems when a point update from Apple comes along. These seem fairly benign, though.

Copying email addresses from an email message

No one else seems to have this problem. I belong to a community group to which the moderator sometimes asks me to email logos and such. She says: " just use the list of names in the "To:" portion of the email I sent to you" . But I want to copy the names from there and put them into a
word file so that I have my own list of names for next time. I can copy only the email addresses and not the names with them. Even though the names are there in the email, they will not paste to my file -- only the email addresses will paste. 'Tiz is puzzlement I have Mail 3.3.

After migrating to iCloud the alias email address not receiving email.

After migrating to iCloud the alias email address my wife has been using now no longer accepts email. The alias can send but extremly slow. However if you reply to the email or attempt to send and email to the alias address it comes up saying " The recipient "****@me.com" was rejected by the server because the user is unknown.
I have recently added another alias and it works fine. I have even deleted and recreated the orignal alias but no success...
Can anyone help.....? A happy Wife means Happy Life....

No. They are not being created by the phone. They are being created by your mail system, whether that is Exchange, Yahoo, Google, etc. They all have settings to automatically create contacts from people you correspond with. There is no setting on the phone to control this. Check the settings for your mail account with or talk to your IT department.

Giving users control of their own distribution list control to add or remove external email addresses from their list

We are a Exchange 2010 SP3 shop, we have distribution groups (with over 200 email addresses ) from another email system which has only external email addresses (i.e [email protected] [email protected] and so on …..)
We want to import these groups into exchange. we called microsoft, they said create mail contacts for each address and put those in a Distribution Group. I know this will work.
Our goal is to have the user create / maintain / add / remove external their own email addresses (Not the IT department)
There must be many companies whose requirements match ours. Are there third party tools that would handle creation of distribution list?

I wouldn't give the ability to create contacts to everyone in the environment because it will become mess at some point of time and IT will have to jump to control it
anyway so why don’t from the start...
I would give this to certain people like Leads or Managers of the groups under certain IT Policy so it will be still under control and people
will think before asking their superior to create them and someone gets responsibility to manage these contacts...

Extract email addresses from email header - Sender (From) - Mail

Hi!
I would like to extract email addresses from email header from field "Sender (From)" and from email body in Mail at the same time.
I saw only scripts how to extract from email body.
I get emails asking for some informations about product and many people don't include their email address in the body, so I have to extract from email header as well.
I would like to extract email addresses from whole email account, separate alphabeticaly, delete duplicates and save it (separated by comma) in text file.
This I would use for sending massive email to all customers.
I'm on OSX 10.6.8.
Do you have please somebody script for extracting email addresses in the way:
1. select mail account
2. run script
3. save email addresses to txt file

Last time I was writing basic programs in Turbopascal in 1996.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong...
1. I switched off in Mail "Use Smart Addresses".
2. I changed the path to my account in both commands:
Command A.

It can extract to .txt file only email addresses from email header which includes after the name as well email address.
Example:

If there is in header only the name without the email address then it's not extracted (email is visible after secondary click on the name)

I just checked that most of emails I have has in the emailheader only the name without the email address so I miss most of email addresses.

A work flow to extract email address from mail

Can anyone help me. I have a bunch of emails that contain text information including an email address. I want a Automator workflow that will extract the email addresses from the emails and then save them as a comma separated text file.

1) Get Selected Mail Items
2) Run AppleScript
In the "Run AppleScript", paste the following in:
on run {input, parameters}

repeat with i from 1 to count of the input

set theContent to the content of theMessage
end tell
if theContent is not equal to "" then
set output to (output & theContent)

3) Run Shell Script
In "Run Shell Script", select "/usr/bin/perl" in the shell popup and "to stdin" in the pass input popup. Then paste the following in:

while( @emails > 1 ) {

4) New TextEdit Document
If you select the mail messages that have the email information in them, then you can run the workflow and hopefully it does the right thing.

How to create an email group from fellow email recipients

I'm sorry for asking what has to be a very basic question but I've not been able to find the answer here or anywhere.
Basically, I want to cut/paste 40-50 email addresses from an email that was sent to me into my address book as a separate Group. ..These are email addresses for players on a sports team. ..I don't know their full names, companies, ph. numbers etc... and don't care to keep that info on hand.. Nor do I want to spend the time adding each as a separate contact. I just need to keep their email addresses. ..I may add addresses to this from time to time, or remove, etc.. For now, whenever I want to send an email to this group, I have to dig up the email sent to me that contained all the addresses as addidional recipients.
