How get to top or bottom of (any kind of) page without scrolling?
On a Windows PC, I could press Ctrl+Home to immediately go to the top of a page (text document, Word document, web page, etc)... Ctrl+End to go to the bottom.
Im Mac, there are no Home/End keys. The best I have found is Ctrl+UpArrow but I have to press it several times to get to the top of a long scroll.
Please, please.. isn't there a way to get to the top/bottom of pages with one set of keystrokes?

The reason those work is because adding the Fn key turns those keys into Home, End, Page Up, and Page Down. On extended keyboards, you can get to top of page by pressing just the Home key, and the bottom of a page by pressing End.

When on any kind of page (TextEdit, Pages, Safari) in Mac, I can press Cmd+PageUp to get immediately back to the top (or Cmd+PageDown to get to the bottom).
When I launch VMWare Fusion (using spaces), Cmd+Left/Right arrow keys move me from Mac to Windows environments. When in Windows, Cmd+PageUp makes the screen maximixed and Cmd+PageDown restores the size.
How can I get to top/bottom of pages in Fusion with one combination of key presses?

Four straight lines have appeared on my screen, top to bottom. Any idea where the came from, and can they be removed? These all come within the past few days.

Try hitting F11 or moving your cursor to the upper right hand corner of the scree to expose the page controls, then clicking on ''restore''.

How to Extract top most position in any given Org Unit
Hi Experts,
I have a requirement to extract the highest position(or root position) in any given OrgUnit. See the below example for more info.
Eg: org1

As shown in the above structure, I need to extract the top most position in each Orgunit structure like postion1, position2, position3 and position4. Note that Org3 does not have a immediate position or chief position so we are reading position3 and 4 instead for org3.

VijayThe best way is to search until there is no more, in order to create the hierarchy.
To get all the B002 relationships for a respective Org. use parameter ACT_TDEPTH = 99 (i guess it won't go that deep) for the top Org.
The output table RESULT_STRUC will have a hierarchy structure, with all organizational units below the top one. Use the fields LEVEL and PDOWN (or PUP) to construct the hierarchy. Then for each ORG. just search for the manager position (B012).
Just a small look-in to what the fields in that table mean :
LEVEL - Level of the Org.
SEQNR - Index of ORG.
PDOWN - SEQNR of ORG below.
VCOUNT - Number of "brothers" (Orgs at the same level)
PNEXT - Brother to the RIGHT
PUP - Father
PPREV - Brother to the Left
Here is a sample program i made to insert this into a table that will later be used for creating an ALVTREE as an F4 for a field.

How to put a solid bottom border for table at page break - XML Publisher

In XML Publisher Invoice report template, I have table with hidden lines. It repeat for each invoice item.
However I need to close the table with a solid line at the page break, when the table is extended to multiple pages.
How can we know if its a page break. I think we can use an if condition if we know the tag for page break( for example like this <?if:@page-break="true"?> ).

Vishnu.You can declare two variables, to hold the previous and current LOCATION values and break the page when it differs.
Or just before your end-for-each, have this code.

Ensure that its placed in a form field.
This will have a page break when LOCATION changes. -

Yes you can by learning how to style your links: I suggest try this link:

Make sure these new links are local to your pages. this is done by putting the styles in the header section (avoid using inline styles for reasons best kept secret to avoid arguments).

How do I CENTER a group of photos on a page without merging them first?
I have six photos which are aligned and distributed equally and linked so they move as one. I want to center this group on the page but as soon as the background layer is selected, each photo piles onto each other with a mind of its own. Tried everything I know (which isn't really very much). It will work if I merge the group, but I don't want to do that. Thanks for any help. It's probably an easy fix . . . I am using Elements 12 with Windows 8.1.
It is possible to make a collage manually and its quite easy. This method may suit your purpose.
Click File >> Open and select all of your photos
That will add them to the project bin
Then select File >> New >> Blank File
Select background color White (or whatever you prefer) and add your width and height for your final image (set resolution 72 for web usage or 240 to 300 for printing) then click OK
In the project bin click your first photo and drag it up into the main window on top of your new background.
Click on the move tool and click in the center of the photo and drag to arrange it where you want on the background - you can hold down the shift key to maintain original proportions whilst dragging the corner handles of the bounding box to get the size you want.
Do the same with the next photo (drag it up into the main window) and use the move tool to position it. Then continue with each image.
Finally Click Layer >>Flatten image and save as jpeg. (Save as PSD if you want to preserve the layers for editing again)
N.B. as you add images they get dropped in the center. So you need to use the move tool to drag them apart. Click in the middle of one and move it around, and then the others until you get them positioned as you want
When you click again with the move tool a bounding box appears around the image and you can drag out the corner handles to re-size your photos. Hold down the shift key when dragging the corner handle and that will maintain the proportions of the original.
Finally click Layer >>Flatten Image and save - you may then want to use the crop tool to cut away any surplus white canvas, and then re-save. -

srabonYou can increate the view limit by modifying existing view and then setting the view item limit. Note that you will get worse performance for larger views of the data.
If you want more control over the filter options you can use the managed metadata filters to provide a more robust filtering system.

Since I unloaded OS7 and started using I cloud, the photos taken are smaller. The picture doesn't take up the whole viewer of the I phone. Therfe is a line,top and bottom. Any suggestions?

Also, you know me, the struggling student, I would also, when and if the book can be purchased through the iTunes, would need to know if you do know of a much easier book for struggling students like myself and at a reasonable price as well for the In Design CS5.5 program. Our campus bookstore had closed early, and, so did the colleges library and our local library here where I do live, so, I cannot go to either place to purchase a book or to take out a book, plus cash funds are low at this moment as well but, I do have money left on the iTunes account to use, if it can be used. So, can it be used, the iTunes money, towards finding a low priced online book? I am in great need of assistance as I have a project due for my one course for this Tuesday, September 4, 2012.

I was watching movies through my itunes last night and now my screen saver and the bar on top and bottom of my screen saver page aren't showing, just a black screen. And, also when I try to reply to an email in my Mail, the response shows up behind my mail page, so I don't actually know it has responded until I clear my Mail screen away.
