How good of an ipod is the iphone?

I sold my ipod touch 2G so I could get a phone and ipod as a single unit (the iphone 3G). How well does the iphone actually work as an ipod though? Is it basically the same thing as an ipod touch 2G but with phone features as well? I used my ipod touch to go running all the time. Is the iphone safe to run with?

It contains the exact same components that the Touch has - the only difference is the phone hardware which has no bearing on the iPod functionality which is mostly software anyway

The only way you can do that is to import them into your library first, but you may have done that already.
The easiest way to tell is to select a photo from the photostream album in iPhoto and ctrl-click on it, if it gives you the option to import it isn't in your iPhoto library, if it offers you the option to show in library it has already been imorted.
