Doesn't sound like you have a 3GS, but rather an iPhone 3. Settings>General>About>Model...what does it say?

Place the iPod in a sealed container with a desiccant for a week. Uncooked rice works. Change the desiccant every day or so for a week.
Do not charge or turn on the iPod until dry. Then try:

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

Upgrading to Intel Core Processor

Is there anyway to upgrade to the Intel based processor with an old Dual Core G5. I bought my G5 2 months before they switched to Intel and while I am quite happy with it I have to admit I feel a little gipped. The sales associate failed to mention the switch was going to happen soon and now I feel like I am stuck with a machine that costs just the same but is behind. Does anyone know if I can make a switch internally without ruining the system.

Corporate has always been tight liped about upcoming releases, but there is a long history of updates and new releases at reliable intervals, such as Mac World Expos. A little time spent researching this can ease a lot of buyers remorse.
As to your implication that the associate may have withheld information, give 'em a break, they're the last to know that sort of stuff.
