  • How i can associate my app user with database role

In my application (oracle forms application developed in-house - We are using Oracle Forms 11gR2 with WebLogic 10.3.5 ), i want to use "application user" instead of database user.
I have an application users table, actually, i have database users, and of course, menu application works with database roles (It was developed with oracle forms menu module), my question is, How i can associate my application user with database role, for reusing oracle forms menu funcionality?. It's possible?
    Thanks,

    Hi Edward
You can do this by assigning the role functionality to the application user. For example
create the table to enter user name.
create table to enter group name.
create table to assign user to group.
    assign role to group.
assign functionality for the user by coding.
    hope this helps

How I can go back to former version of firefox, because the new one is unacceptable bad.
I am just a computer and internet user, if you can't imagine what that's means, then I need to use and promote other web browsers.
I am really mad about the update, who is worthless!
    sorry !
think about your reputation and do fast better.

Try to drag the current Firefox application to the trash if you can't replace it.

  • I have a paid download manager as an add-on for firefox and I want to know how I can move it to another installaton of firefox (Since I will wipe my HDD)

and I want to know how I can move it to another installaton of firefox (Since I will replace my HDD and delete firefox (obviosly))

All of your Firefox data is stored in the profile folder.
    * [[Profiles - Where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data]]
** The ''extensions'' subfolder contains add-ons like extensions and themes (but not plug-ins; plug-ins are third-party software installed in your operating system).
** Some extensions may create data folders (e.g. /adblockplus) or files (e.g. stylish.sqlite) directly under the profile folder.
** The ''prefs.js'' file stores your preferences for Firefox and extensions.

  • How can I remove livesearch from the Mozilla Firefox browser window?

Somehow I got the live-search malware embedded into the Firefox browser window. I have tried to remove it using SuperAntiSpyware, Spybot-S7D, and Malwarebyte. Plus ran AVG. Did all four of these several times. But I still have livesearch.
How do I get rid of it? Will uninstalling Firefox and the reinstalling it work. If I uninstall Firefox and reinstalling it, will I loos all my bookmarks?
    Please Help!
    Thanks,
    Naturewoman

Generally speaking, uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox doesn't solve most problems unless you remove all your personal settings, which I definitely do NOT recommend.
These kinds of infiltrations can take some effort to remove. To make it easier, Firefox now had a "reset" feature which preserves your bookmarks but strips away custom settings and extensions, which are the source of most problems.
You could try manually removing the "Printing Helper" extension and resetting your search settings first. If these don't help, then try the reset.
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons > Extensions category
Then run the Search Reset extension from here:
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/searchreset/
More info on reset: [[Reset Firefox – easily fix most problems]]
    Any luck?

  • How i can disable the 'about:newtab' page on Firefox 9 a1 (UX)?

I want to disable the 'about:newtab' page when I open a new tab, How i can do it?

That doesn't look like it's related to the subject of this thread.
    BTW: Firefox 12+ versions have a browser.newtabpage.enabled pref to disable the about:newtab page.<br />
The default of that pref in Firefox 12 (currently Beta) is false and is true in Firefox 13 (currently Aurora).

  • Where can I down load older versions of FireFox for windows and Mac for testing my application? I need to have copies of version 3, 4 and 5.

My tesm develops .net applications that must support many browsers and we need access to download older versions of FireFox for windows and mac computers, so that we can test our application prior to rolling out a new version.
Where can I download older versions of FireFox

Firefox 3.5 is an antique version that is chock-full of security vulnerabilities.<br>
Firefox 3.6 also contains security vulnerabilities; it stopped being supported on April 24.

If you can't run the latest version because your system doesn't meet the requirements, it's highly recommended that you use another browser that is secure. TenFourFox is a third-party build of Firefox that is kept up-to-date and runs on Mac OS X 10.4 and PowerPC Macs (as a side note, I've never seen the site go down; whatever problems James noticed 9 months ago must've been a fluke).

If your system can run the latest version, but you want to downgrade because you've experienced problems, please start a new thread and someone will try to help you.
If you understand the security risks but want to downgrade anyway,

  • Suddenly, I can't login to yahoo email using Firefox on windows 7

I load Firefox on windows 7 and go to Yahoo. I get to the sign in page for email and it lets me enter my account and password but the program won't go any further. I can't access Yahoo email at all. It works on Safari.

You can try basic steps like these in case of issues with web pages:
Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
    *Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
    *Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and the cookies from websites that cause problems.
    "Clear the Cache":
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
    *Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

Note that your System Details List shows that you have a user.js file in the profile folder to initialize some prefs on each start of Firefox.
The user.js file is only present if you or other software has created it, so normally it wouldn't be there.
You may want to check its content with a plain text editor if you didn't create this file yourself.
The user.js file is read each time you start Firefox and initializes preferences to the value specified in this file, so involved preferences can only be changed temporarily for the current session.
Rename or delete the prefs.js file and possible numbered prefs-##.js files and a possible user.js file to reset all prefs to the default value.

  • How do I associate a protocol with a program?

I want to associate the 'cel' protocol with celestia so I can open cel:// urls but i'm not sure how to do it.

    Opera:
Tools -> Preferences -> Advanced -> Programs and clicking "Add". Enter "cel" in the protocol field and enter "celestia" in the "Open with other application" field.
Repeat one more time with cel+http as the protocol.
    Firefox:
Create a .js file in /usr/lib/xulrunner-1.9.1/defaults/pref.
    celestia.js:
    pref("network.protocol-handler.app.cel","/usr/bin/celestial");
    pref("network.protocol-handler.warn-external.cel",false);
    pref("network.protocol-handler.app.cel+http","/usr/bin/celestia");
    pref("network.protocol-handler.warn-external.cel+http",false);
Or add the lines to ~/.mozilla/firefox/<whatever>.default/prefs.js

    Hi
I'm in Botswana and have tried at internet cafes, the library and other peoples computers to access my iCloud email, but it says there is an error and can't load the page. On wifi I can login and get my mail on my own computer. PLEASE HELP!! Why can't I see my iCloud mail when logged into iCloud on another computer?

This does not help and is readily available on line, I'm in Botswana and have tried 5 different places, 3 internet cafes, a government office where I work and the local library. I can't get to my iCloud male on any of these computers, but I can login to my iCloud account on all of them. They all have supported browsers. If I'm on my MAC I can login and get my mail just fine.

  • Can Chrome be a satisfactory replacement for Firefox on Windows 2000 ?

Firefox recommends Opera as a replacement. Would Chrome be as satisfactory a replacement for Windows 2000 Pro

If you have Windows 2000 and Firefox 12, you won't receive anymore updates. Windows 2000 hasn't been supported for almost 2 years so you should update Windows if possible.
