If you already have a printer, you can probable use a program like, printopia to let your mac share your printer with the iOS device like your iPad. The catch being your computer has to be on, and not asleep, for the printer to work with your iPad.
If you need a printer that is airprint ready, you can find a list on AirPrint, wireless printing straight from your iPad. Check out the bottom of the page where it says works with airprint enabled printers. There are even links on the page so you can buy the printers right from Apple's website.

  • Upgrade Hard disk on a macbook air from 80g to 120g

I'm trying to upgrade my hard drive disk on a macbook air from the original 80g to the new 120g, does some one knows were can I find and buy the 120G HDD?

    Hi Andres,
there is a problem if you mean the 120 GB HDD from Rev. B - your MBA uses the PATA-interface, the new one the SATA-interface.
In one sentence: The 120 GB from Rev B. will NOT fit your Rev A.

  • How to delete data from hard disk before returning Macbook Air to the store

I need to return a recently purchased Macbook Air to the store. How do I delete all data from the hard drive before I return the notebook?

Ahh, you want to WIPE the entire drive,.....command R on startup, disk utilities....select MacIntosh HD,......ERASE it format it in MAC OSX extended journaled.
after than, you can do a wifi or ethernet reinstall to factory OUT OF BOX new condition.    Usually takes 1.5 to 2 hours if you have a descent fast www connection.

  • How to read images from local hard disk and display in tile layout

    Dear Folks,
I have 100 images in a folder @ local hard disk (E drive).
I would like to display them in Tile view of 3X3.
I have options (Radio buttons) to chnage the layout at runtime to 4X4 , 5#5 and 6X6.
Also when the change in layout happens, I wanted to make use of backgroudLoading of image view so that user do not want to wait till the entire tile loads.
How do I achive this requiremet?
Sample code if any of great help. Thanks in advance.

    1. So I would like to know which is the {color:#3366ff}best way to load local images in ImageView{color}.I'm no expert, but is there a reason that you are using Swing to do the loading?
    2. secondly, currently the system displays all images only after the completion of creating all images. {color:#3366ff}How to display images as and when they are created.{color} So that the user has a feeling that the images are loading.JavaFX Image class let you display a lightweight placeholder, and you can bind the progress to some kind of visual indicator. I don't think you can display an image that is partially loaded.

i have a macbook air with a 128gb ssd drive and want to install a larger drive. where can I buy the drive from and how do I install it?

At the present time there are no third party PCIe SSDs available.  Until some are produced for sale, the only alternative is to purchase a MBA with larger storage.

  • How do I import Bookmarks into Firefox from another hard disk that has Firefox installed on it but is no longer the primary disk?

I was running firefox on a desktop. The hard drive became unusable as the primary drive, either due to a software installation that left the operating system unstable or malware or both. The hard drive has been cleaned of malware, but was replaced by a new hard drive which has a new installation of firefox. Operating was and is Windows XP. The old hard drive which is now F:\ is still in the computer. There are many, many bookmarks on F;\ ...Firefox that I need to import the Firefox on C:\. I believe they are the .json files. Can I copy and paste, or import the bookmarks?

  • How to transfer backup from another external drive

Have a LaCie making clicking sounds ...about to go.  Should I transfer my docs to a disk before buying the Time Capsule ? How do you  transfer info to the Time Capsule?

Transfer any documents you have immediately back to your Mac.. if they are not just backups..
If you don't have space then yes, get another external drive.
The TC is for TM backups.. if you mix backups and data on it, can lead to issues.. also the TC is not designed to store files.. we recommend against it.
    The info is here though.
    http://pondini.org/TM/TCQ3.html
The TC is just a network drive if you copy to it, just standard copy and paste via finder.

  • Can connect to USB Hard Disk via OS X 10.5, but not 10.5?

I'm able to connect to my USB Hard Disk in OS X 10.5 by simply going to "SHARED" in the Finder, but I don't see it anywhere in OS X 10.4. My 10.5 computer is connected to the AirPort Extreme via wireless, my 10.4 computer (it's actually OS X Server 10.4.11 ) is connected via a LAN port.
If I go to the Finder and select "Network" I just see "Servers" which shows the 10.4 system I'm on. I don't see anything about the AirPort Extreme or USB Hard Disk connected to it.
Any ideas on how I can see the USB Hard Disk on OS X Server 10.4.11 connected to the AirPort Extreme via a LAN port?
    Thanks!

You should be able to connect to the disk via SMB from your 10.4 computer. Do you know the IP of the airport express base station? If so, use the Go menu from the Finder of the 10.4 machine and use *Connect to Server*. Enter the Server Address as smb://basestation.ip.address.here and click connect. It should present you with a login box and then mount your shares when you provide the correct credentials.
On my airport extreme base station I have File Sharing enabled with base station password, guest access NOT allowed. My credentials are my account username (probably doesn't matter what name you put) and the base station password. It mounts the shared disk perfectly.
Under 10.5, this method (for me anyway) has been MUCH more reliable than using the Airdisk feature. I disabled Airdisk on the client and now I always mount the share using SMB this way. It seems snappier and the problem where I used to get a drive mounted but then be unable to see anything on it has gone away.
If you want it to automount each login (I know this method works on 10.5, can't remember about 10.4) use the *Connect to Server* dialog and enter the Server Address then click the + sign to add the server to your Favorites (the box under the Server Address line.) Then go to your Library folder in your Home directory. You will see the link you put in Favorites stored there as a file. Drag that file into the Login Items list in your user account in the Accounts pane in the System preferences. To see the connection on your desktop you need to make sure you have your Finder Preferences set to show *Connected Servers* on your Desktop. Click on the Finder menu (when you have Finder selected), then Preferences.
