In others versions is possible the change it in: "Process chain" >>> Attributes >>> Execution User >>> tick "Current User"., but in BW 3.1 donu2019t has this option. I need to change the user default (ALEREMOTE)

"Job BI_PROCESS_LOADING could not be scheduled. Termination with returncode 8

Diagnosis

Since you want to know who is running the procedure would a log table you could insert into at the start or end of the procedure help, to store the information you are interesting in seeing?
Or, can you get the information you want from other system views? V$SESSION has the OSUSER column as well as SQL_ID and other join columns for other views (like V$SQL).

Error while executing the Process chain

Hi Friends,
The process chain that I scheduled is getting failed at the Infopackage loading stage.
On checking the diplay message, I found the following log:
Cannot stage requested data for datasource
Error in source system
I activated the datasource in source system, then replicated the same and tried to load data.
But the issue remains the same.
I checked in RSA7. The status corresponding to this datasource is in yellow status.
Can I delete this entry and try again?
Please suggest.

" This error normally occurs whenever BW encounters error and is not able to classify them. There could be multiple reasons for the same
1) Whenever we are loading the Master Data for the first time, it creates SIDs. If system is unable to create SIDs for the records in the Data packet, we can get this error message.
2) If the Indexes of the cube are not deleted, then it may happen that the system may give the caller 70 error.
3)Whenever we are trying to load the Transactional data which has master data as one of the Characteristics and the value does not exist in Master Data table we get this error. System can have difficultly in creating SIDs for the Master Data and also load the transactional data.
4) If ODS activation is taking place and at the same time there is another ODS activation running parallel then in that case it may happen that the system may classify the error as caller 70. As there were no processes free for that ODS Activation.
5) It also occurs whenever there is a Read/Write occurring in the Active Data Table of ODS. For example if activation is happening for an ODS and at the same time the data loading is also taking place to the same ODS, then system may classify the error as caller 70.
6) It is a system error which can be seen under
the Status tab in the Job Over View.

" If the Master Data is getting loaded for the first time then in that case we can reduce the Data Package size and load the Info Package. Processing sometimes is based on the size of Data Package. Hence we can reduce the data package size and then reload the data again. We can also try to split the data load into different data loads
If the error occurs in the cube load then we can try to delete the indexes of the cube and then reload the data again.
If we are trying to load the Transactional and Master Data together and this error occurs then we can reduce the size of the Data Package and try reloading, as system may be finding it difficult to create SIDs and load data at the same time. Or we can load the Master Data first and then load Tranactional Data
If the error is happening while ODS activation cause of no processes free, or available for processing the ODS activation, then we can define processes in the T Code RSCUSTA2.
If error is occurring due to Read/Write in ODS then we need to make changes in the schedule time of the data loading.
Once we are sure that the data has not been extracted completely, we can then go ahead and delete the red request from the manage tab in the InfoProvider. Re-trigger the InfoPackage again.
Monitor the load for successful completion, and complete the further loads if any in the Process Chain.
6.Idoc not processed completely.
Here the request remains yellow (in process) and with the same details (as seen in the details tab of the monitor) for an abnormally long time. Many-a-times, the port for communication is not open and re-starting the load helps. For long running jobs, it may not be advisable to restart the extraction

Here is what worked for me.
changing the default application server.
1) Verify that JSC2 is creating a WAR file in the project's dist directory.
2) Download the Sun Java System Application Server 8.1
3) Install the application server on another computer. E.g. 192.168.1.110
I changed the default port from 8080 to 80 because I wanted to port forward.
Don't know if this is required.
4) Start the server! Browse to 192.168.1.110:80 and verify the server started.
5) Run the admin console (192.168.1.110:4848) and manually deploy the WAR file
If you can't do this, it wont go.
Your browser might appear to get stuck. Wait for it to finish! Check your logs for errors.
If you get stuck, doublecheck that the server directory isn't write-protected.
Test with a browser 192.168.1.110:80/ProjectName
6) Tell JSC2 about the new server
Servers Tab -> Remote Servers -> rightclick -> Add Remote Server...
Select the right kind of server (Sun Java System Application Server 8.1)
Admin Host: 192.168.1.110
Admin Port: 4848
Username: admin or whatever
Password: shhhhh!
7) Configure JSC2 to deploy the project to a different server during testing.
Projects Tab -> Right-click the project -> Properties -> Run -> select the new server.
8) Click the little green triangle and it should deploy and start a browser to test.
Trouble-shooting:
- Problems will occur if you attempt to do things to fast. Don't cancel out of operations.
- Don't modify any of you build.xml files
- Don't compress the war file

How do I change Default search engine in the address bar, not the search window on the top right or by using about:config, doesn't work. Worked fine until this FF 8.0 update, now defaults to Yahoo 7. About to throw it in and use Chrome.

When Firefox 8.0 installed it has automatically changed my address bar default search engine to Yahoo7 which is crap. I can not change this back. So when I start FF it opens to my google home page, when I type a subject and search the results are displayed in a Yahoo 7 results page, not google. I am not talking about my default home page or the search bar to the top right. This is still google.
The settings in about:config do nothing.
This was fine until FF 8.0.

Pernich and I want to know; If you type search criteria directly into the address bar and hit enter, how to change that search engine from Yahoo to Google.

I want to execute MIGO transaction by workflow. I developed it by BAPI but, I'm using the PR_NAME parameter (on BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE HEADER) so it will be stored as the user witch executed MIGO.
I'm trying to send the follow variable: &_WORKITEM.EXECUTEDBYUSER.NAMEWITHLEADINGUS&, but it doesn't work. With variable can I use to do it ?

1-Check UNAME element in the WF container has both the import & export attributes checked.
->YES.
2-Check in the WF log if the UNAME element in the WF container is getting popualted with the approver's id.
->YES. NOW IT'S BACKING WITH THE CORRECT USER.
3-And lastly Check the BAPI independently and verify it is actually using the user id supplied or defaulting to the executing user's id.
->NOT FOR TASK MIGO IN BACKGROUND.
->NOT FOR BAPI INDENPENDENTLY RUN TOO. I run the funcion in foreground and put the user directly in the var uname. But the R/3 system stored as my user whose I logged in SAP. I know that it's wrong coz I put another user instead mine, and the MIGO document is with my sap user. I think parameter pr_name didn't work fine.
I discovered that the pr_name (BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE parameter) didn't work fine. Coz even foreground it's storing my actual logged user as document creator on MIGO, I know that coz I put another user in the test, but the function simply ignored this parameter. So always in background it will always store as wf-batch.

How do I change default page that appears after a bad/malformed URL?

First of all, this is not a traditional malware/adware issue. Whenever I enter a malformed or bad URL, like http://blah, Firefox defaults to the homepage of my spouse's old workplace (a large, corporate law firm). While this is a personal computer, ages ago it was taken in the office to install software (Citrix) to allow it to synch it with the firm's network while used at home, etc; the program has since been uninstalled. Ever since the computer was brought back, it's had this issue with defaulting to the mainpage of the law firm whenever it finds an error. I would prefer another page, but I can't figure out where to look (and I have tried, though I admit my own limitations).

This isn't possible without creating a new Apple ID.

In the siebelOnDemnad documentation i find some about one parameter named FIRST_DAY_OF_THE_WEEK in NQSConfig.INI but i don't know how to change it.

i feel i am doing the right thing . but i couldn't get the mail.
i have created the process chain.
and attached the message to the start of the chain.
i had inserted the subject to the message and the recepient id is attached to the addresse.
any thing else to be done.
every thing is connected.no need to do the settings as we were getting mails for the other chains.

Ensure proper settings done in SCOT.also see after going in SCOT -->CLICK on JOB then see whether any job is scheduled to run to send mails or not ?if yes after what time period it runs.see this.

How to put RSCRM_BAPI in the process chain?

Dear All,
I've used RSCRM_BAPI to extract data from a query into a table. These data in the table needs to be extracted again to the PSA in BW.
So I need to run the job defined in RSCRM_BAPI after the data has been loaded into cube and run the infopackage to extract data after the job has finished.
How can I put these actions in the process chain?

Yes you can schedule RSCRM_BAPI extracts in a process chain. You have to write a program that will invoke the RSCRM APIs. You can use the program below.

Use the ABAP Program process to execute this program. Create the data load processes so that they execute on successful finish of this program.

User wants to schedule the process chain - what is the best practice

I posted earler and got the anwser.
Create a custom ABAP program that calls the RSPC_API_CHAIN_START Function Module, with a selection for the Process Chain where your user can enter the Meta Chain name to start the process.
To make it simpler for the user to execute this, create a custom tcode for them in SE93, so that they logon to your BW environment, call up that tcode, enter the Meta Chain name and execute. With this, they wouldn't have to have access to RSPC.
I did the above and the user not able to execute it since he doesn't have access to the cube/dso to update the cube.
To overcome this I wrote another abap program and used the
SUBMIt program user ALEREMOTE
and there is a problem.I called the process chain start program using ALEREMOTE .
Now the user needs access to authorization object S_BTCH_NAM and authorization field BTCUNAME with value ALEREMOTE.
So again due to SOX the basis doesn't want to give the necessary access.
What is the best solution.
How in general if the user needs to execute the process chain how they do it.

In general production scenerio, we do not run process chain manually. To execute a process chain you should have necessary authorization. As you have assigned alertmote in the start variant, any user other thatn that will not be able to trigger the same.
Instead of alertmote , use the nornal start variant to trigger the process chain and give the user the normal authorization. Whenever user wants to run the infopackage manually or via process chain they should have the auth to view the infoprovider content as well....

Applying variable filter while executing a process chain

I have a client requirement discussed below:
I have a process chain containing multiple DTPs. The user wants to have a filter variable for fiscal year period while executing the process chain(i.e fiscal period selection screen should come for him to enter fiscal period). And the entire process chain should run for that selected fiscal period.
Please help me with solutions of this dynamic process chain triggering.
