i have this problem in my macbook os x 10.9.3
1- itunes can not backup my iphone it gave error: the backup could not be save on this computer .
2- the iphone usb on the network always red :iphone usb is not plugged in or the device is not responding
3- when i edit my safari bookmark and i close it then open it it turns back to the old same one :@
i feel disappointing i can do any changes on my own devices !!
i tried many thing but nothing helped

Sync with iTunes. If the app is no longer in iTunes then it will be removed from the iPhone.

Iphone configuration utility for Windows XP doesn't work.

Getting message when I try to launch Iphone Configuration utility on WIndows XP Sp3 machine - IPCU.exe Procedure entry point not found.
The procedure entry point sqllite23_clear_bindings could not be located in the dll library sqlite3.dll.
Say ok to that and get also a message that Iphone configuration utility failed to locate Apple Mobile device support . Please reinstall, you can download Iphone configuration utility from http://blah blah blah.
I already tried 3.4 and that didn't work. Back rev'd to 3.3 and same error. Running Itunes 10.5 and IOS 5.0 on phone. Any ideas?
Getting ready to deploy about 25 of these and using MS Exchange 2007 as email and active sync. I was hoping to use the utility to help roll out security settings and such.

we noticed the exact same thing. We used IPCU 3.4 and the new feature of setting WiFi proxy which we are very interested in. From Windows, after installing the profile, there was no proxy info on the device UI. From the Mac, the proxy info is there and can be seen from the device UI but it does not work. These proxy settings, even though we can see them through the device UI, do not "stick". They have no effect. HTTP traffic still does not go through the proxy.
Using the Mac is fine as long as we can make the proxy settings "stick", otherwise we have to ask our users again to do them manually. Has anybody found a workaround or something?

Does anybody know how to set the "Identity" of the Mobile Device Management (MDM) payload of a Configuration Profile from iPhone Configuration Utility (iPCU)? The description says that this is the "Cryptographic credential used for authentication" and I should "Add credentials in the Credentials payload". Any help is appreciated.

The Identity field in the MDM payload section of a configuration profile can only be set AFTER you have set the correct credential in the Credentials section. If you have set the correct credential in the Credentials section, then you will (in my experience) only have one choice for Identity in the MDM payload section. It will be the correct choice fortunately.
To set the correct credential in the Credentials section of the configuration profile, you must have a valid personal certificate in the Windows certificate store. If you have a valid personal certificate in the Windows certificate store it will show up in the (very long) list of certificates you can choose from when you click on Configure in the Credentials section.
You should be prompted for the password for 'exporting your identity'. Fill in both boxes and then click on OK. The set the password again. Yes, the password must be entered three times.
At this point you can go back to the MDM payload section and everything should be OK.
Note that my comments only apply to Windows. My system is Windows 7. However, only version of Windows probably works the same.

I have taken it back to the Apple store genius bar, but they say they don't see anything wrong. Well unless you use it all day and experience the problems when they happen, you wont see anything wrong. But there are lots wrong with it. But this would be the same store as I purchased the phone. And they backed up my old Iphone 4, but were not able to get anything to load back onto my new phone. So, I lost pretty much everything. You can't delete the Photo Library. The iPhone stores photos the same way iPhoto does on a Mac. All photos are synced to your Photo Library. The various albums/folders merely contain pointers to the actual photos which are in your Photo Library, they are not duplicates.

I just figured it out! I set the email account I am using to try to send the photos as my default account by going to General > Settings > Mail > scrolling down to Default Account. Mine was set as my iCloud account. I switched it to gmail and now I can send photos.

Are you syncing with iTunes?
If so, then you must mark the Apps that you have deleted in iTunes to not reload. If this isn't done they will return after a sync.

You can restore a backup of the old device to a new one. This will erase everything on the new one before restoring, so this may be an issue if you already have data on the new device.
To do a backup of the old device, iTunes is the safest route, in my opinion. Many users have lost photos when performing a restore from an icloud backup.
An icloud backup does not include everything. For example,only photos in camera roll are backed up. Also, music is not backed up since you get it back from itunes and (for purchased music) from the itunes store.

you should be able to set it to none there

IPhone Configuration Utility: how to override tethering APN

My carrier, Swisscom, offers a product called "Corporate Application Access" (CAA) which essentially allows you to use a different GPRS APN (corporate.swisscom.ch instead of gprs.swisscom.ch), assigning you a public IP address (instead of a private NATed one). I need this for a specific kind of VPN.
Using iPhone Configuration Utility I was able to change the APN to corporate.swisscom.ch, and indeed I see the iPhone surfing the Internet using the public IP. I can even ping the iPhone from outside while on 3G, never saw that before :-). Also, my VPN works.
Unfortunately, when I enable tethering using the Personal Hotspot feature, the iPhone falls back to the default APN gprs.swisscom.ch, and still gets a private IP. As you may have guessed, my VPN doesn't work. I have already tried resetting network settings, and even tried a different iPhone (a 3GS instead of a 4, but both running iOS 4.3.3).
For some reason I think Apple may have blocked overriding the tethering APN, in order to avoid users living in countries where tethering is a paid add-on to overcome the limitation by changing the tethering APN to the regular data APN.
While I understand these reasons, I still need to have my Personal Hotspot work using the correct corporate.swisscom.ch APN. Otherwise I'd have to purchase a separate data card with a separate subscription just to access the VPN from my laptop, which doesn't make much sense.
Has anyone ever had this problem, and even better, solved it?

Jail brake would be the first one - there are apps in the special store to override Apple scarce settings...
Or my personal choice - an Android phone ... Google is less paranoid about users free will (go figure)
Works on my oold Nokia N958GB, and my Galaxy Nexus... while iPhone 4S sits on a shelf, pried open, lifeless without a sim... why have you crippled me ow maker ;-(

Choose United States
Choose Straight talk
Choose Create APN below the Carrier
This will set the APN Data Settings for Straighttalk.
