You can't edit a file with PDF Pack, but you should be able to convert it to a Word document, and if you are really lucky edit THAT and make a new PDF. Don't expect too much though!

You say it won't let you edit it. What do you mean
    * You don't know how
    * The can't find the tools you expect to find for editing
    * You know how to edit, but you can't select text to edit at all
    * The tools are there but greyed out
    * You get an error message (what?)
    * Something else?

PDF is an end destination format - although Acrobat is capable of making minor changes to a file (e.g. to correct typos) it is not a word processor or DTP application. Major changes must be done in the original document, and the PDF file re-exported.
You can copy text from a file by selecting it and right-clicking, or you can save the file as plain or formatted text. To make small changes to the text on a page, use the touchup tool - see the help file for more info.

How do I edit a PDF file with Adobe PDF Pack?

Well, you don't. Editing a PDF is a difficult and fraught business even with the most expensive software.
But PDF Pack lets you export to Word; then often you can edit in Word. Now you can make a new PDF. It might look like the original, or it might not. If small changes matter you might be out of luck. ON NO ACCOUNT USE THIS FOR GOVERNMENT FORMS.

How do i edit a PDF file that was sent to me in an email?

Depends on the extent of the edits. You will need Acrobat in any case. If the edits or minor, you can use the text edit tool. For major edits, you need to request the original file be sent or see if you can Save As a DOC or related file type. PDFs are not really structured for editing and you are asking for a lot of grief if you want to do much. Exporting is the best way, or even better simply asking the author for the original (non-PDF type).

    The application Preview.
    Preview Help.
    Save combined PDFs
Open the PDFs you want to combine.
In each open PDF, choose View > Thumbnails to display the pages of the PDF in the sidebar.
Drag the thumbnails you want to add (Command-click to select noncontiguous pages) to the thumbnail sidebar in the other PDF.You can add pages to the end of the document or between pages in a document. Drag thumbnails to reorder them. You can also add a PDF file before or after another PDF document.
Choose File > Export to save a new PDF containing all of the combined pages, or choose File > Save to replace the original version of the destination PDF with the version containing the combined pages.

  • How do you edit a PDF file

I am trying to edit flyers that are sent to me, and I can't figure out how to edit a PDF file.
    Can anyone help me?

Adobe Reader products (including Adobe Reader Touch, Adobe Reader XI, Adobe Reader for iOS/Android, etc.) are free PDF viewers.  They do not support editing of PDF contents (text, images, etc.).
To edit PDFs, you need a paid product such as Adobe Acrobat XI Pro or Standard.

    Hello Anubha,
I am using the Adobe annual licence for Adobe PDF pack. I wanted to be able to edit a PDF file and when I selected this function it said I needed to update to Adobe Pro – and then it would not allow mw to update. Is there an additional cost? And if so how much is it and how do I go about updating so I can use this functionality.
    Kind regards,
    Lindsay

  • How do I edit a PDF file that's on my iPad?

How do you edit and change words in a PDF file on your ipad, what version do I need .please help

If you have Acrobat for Windows, you certainly can. If you don't have it, you can try it free for 30 days. See www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html.

  • How do I edit a PDF file?

how do I edit something in pdf format?

    Purchase and install Acrobat XI.
Use the Edit Text & Images tool
BE AWARE:  PDF (the file format / technology defined and described by the ISO Standard for PDF, ISO 32000-1) does not tolerate word processor like editing.
Using Acrobat XI one can perform a robust selection of "touchup" activities on characters and words.
Very often this will be more than adequate.
But, "edits" in a word processor sense can/does goober a PDF and often as not render it unusable.
If "gotta edit" is what must be accomplished then export the PDF page content to MS Word.
Cleanup the Word file, do the editing, output a fresh PDF.
    Be well...

  • How do I edit a PDF file on my Macbook Pro?

I'm working on a PDF file as school assignment and one of the requirements is inserting a picture into a little box. How do I do that and then continue to edit other parts of the PDF file so I could write stuff and revise?

    Yeah, no.

  • How do I edit a PDF file in Yosemite?

I need to regularly edit PDF files. I can open and read them in Adobe Reader or Preview, but neither lets me edit the copy. I would have to subscribe to Adobe Reader to get that function, and the cost is not worth it for the few times I'd use it. I'm running Yosemite on my iMac. Is there a free download or another way to edit PDF files?

Since Acrobat isn't free, it depends on what kind of editing you need to do. If you're just trying to change a few words in a document and don't need the word flow we take for granted in a word processor, you might try LibreOffice. It will open PDF's and while it can't directly save as a PDF, you can use the Print function to save as a PDF with the changes. It'll only work a line at a time, the line won't wrap if it gets too long, and there certainly won't be text flow from one page to the next. But if you're just fixing spelling or changing dates, it might be enough.
    And it's free.

  • An app to where I can edit existing PDF files with typed text

I would love to be able to edit my contracts for my business on the iPad to email. On my computer I use Adobe Photoshop. My contract is a PDF. I would like to find an app where I can just fill in details in the appropriate locations on the contract using typed text with selectable fonts like filling in the customers name etc. any ideas.

I would love to be able to edit my contracts for my business on the iPad to email.
Design the contract as a PDF form with fillable fields rather than editing the PDF.
On my computer I use Adobe Photoshop
    Really?
Rather than editing saved PDF (which can very easily mess up the PDF formatting and lots of other things), keep the original document (word processor file) and edit that as needed then save as a PDF.

  • [bug locked] How do I edit a pdf file?

I have a paper document that I need to update once a year.  It is rather long.  I cannot find the word file used to create this document.  I have scanned this document at work but it is in pdf form so I currently cannot edit it.
Do I need to buy a certain add-in or program other than reader to be able to create a file that I can edit?  I relly do not want to have to re-type this entire document?

Hmmmm I would just make microsoft word documents (or if you don't have that, just use rich text documents or something), then, if you want to turn it into a PDF document, just do a google search for "convert word document into pdf format" and that should bring up a few websites that have an onine utility that will easily convert your text documents into PDF format. I have done this myself more than once and it works great! The only downfall is that  you can't edit the PDF documents once you have created them, so be sure to keep your text documents, which you can edit whenever you need to, then just turn them into PDF again.
