Just think of dynpros as windows into the global memory of your program... so if you want the value of a field on dynpro 1234 to appear on dynpro 2345, then just pop the value into a global variable (i.e. one defined in your top include), and you will be able to see it in your second dynpro (assuming you make the field formats etc the same on both screens!).

Hi, all-
This isn't an Animate-specific issue, but I thought I'd take a stab at it anyway. As with anything else on the web, you need to have a server script to handle incoming data, so it's all back end work. Your page will need to call that script and provide parameters to that script that it can read.
The easiest way I can think of to do this (and this is all highly theoretical, so please make sure it's secure before you implement it) is to create a 1px div that has visibility off. Whenever you click, you can load your URL in that div, which then increments your counter on your db.

What is requirement for passing the data in a single line ? Do you finally need to append the same in the internal table and pass it in the module ?
You can create an internal table of type 1000 character and can loop the existing internal table. Then you can append the Work area in a single line and can finally append it to the table.
DATA : ITAB type standard table of char1000.
Loop at <existing table>.
concatenate table work area wa_char100 into Itab_char_1000.
endloop.
APPEND itab_char_1000 into itab.

Use NVL or COALESCE:
NVL (col_a, col_b)
Returns col_a if col_a is not NULL; otherwise, it returns col_b.
Col_a and col_b must have similar (if not identical) datatypes; for example, if col_a is a DATE, then col_b can be another DATE or it can be a TIMESTAMP, but it can't be a VARCHAR2.

It would probably be about 50 lines of code. Or you could write a loop in 3 lines of code. I'll let you decide which approach you want to take.

I know that is possible to add and recover the "additional authorizations", but i need to generate the reports over "standard authorizations" for auditing peoples.

This thread is about some kind of report about users vs. authorizations.
2) You are raising a different issue - which is NOT a SDK question + has 2 different aspects:
a) Setting the same authorizations for multiple users in the same company:
Simply Drag&Drop a "user" over another to give the latter the same authorizations as the first one.
b) Setting the same authorizations for multiple users in the different company:
As Harold already pointed out:
In 2005 you can use the CopyExpress SAP Add-On to do this; I am not sure whether it was possible with the old "BC Sets" Add-On...
3) You talk about some bug where authorizations got reset.
Did you remember to report it on SAP Service Marketplace?

I am afraid that you are going to have to supply a few more details. What exactly are you having problems with? Do you need help creating the OVS? Or perhaps on how to capture the input from the OVS? Or do you nee dhelp actually generating the report of the sales documents itself?

How to Obtain the Value of a ***Global*** Application Item from JS

If we declare an Application Item, i.e. NOT a page level item, how do we obtain the value of that Item in a JavaScript Dynamic Action on a page?
For example, we declare a "global variable" as an Application Item named DEFAULT_AJAX_SEPERATOR and set its value with an Application Computation "On New Instance" At some later point, on a page in the application, we'd like to obtain the value of DEFAULT_AJAX_SEPERATOR via JavaScript.
The page* level item syntax...
$v( 'DEFAULT_AJAX_SEPERATOR' );...does not work. I do understand why this is as $v can only access items on the page. However, APEX is clearly able to obtain such global values since, for example, they are available in PL/SQL blocks. Also, I know it's on the session object because I can see it when viewing the session.
So...what's the secret sauce for obtaining that value?

The secret is to define a global JavaScript variable and set it with the value of the item, using Substitution String notation. For example:
var default_ajax_separator = &DEFAULT_AJAX_SEPERATOR.This code should be placed in the Function and Global Variable Declaration field, under the JavaScript section of the Edit Page. As we are talking about a global JavaScript variable, it will be available to every other JavaScript code on the page.

One thing you can do is to prevent the user from editing that column and programatically supply the values of that column yourself.

That's why I want to combine the the two SQL-statements, for reasons of presumed effiency.

JDBC requires a 'statement' but in SQL (depending on the data source) that can include multiple statements. An obvious example of this is a stored proc but there are other ways as well.

I am new to CR2008. I need to obtain the value of a particular field (say inventoryEndValue) at the end of each quarter, and use it as the starting value (say inventoryStartValue) for the next quarter. I want to show these values (the end value of a quarter and the beginning value for the next quarter, though both values are same) in both the charts and cross tabs.

For creating manual running total, please follow the below steps:
RESET->The Reset formula initializes the variable and assigns it an initial value. This formula is typically placed in a headers section, such as, Page Header, Report Header, or Group Header.
         WhilePrintingRecords;
         Global NumberVar nRT := 0;
EVALUATE->The Evaluate formula updates the value of the variable. This formula is typically placed in the Details section.
         WhilePrintingRecords;
         Global NumberVar nRT := nRT + (value);
DISPLAY->The Display formula shows the current value of the variable on the report. This formula is typically placed in a footer section, such as, Page Footer, Report Footer, or Group Footer.
