How i can present my keynote in 2nd display?

i wnat to present my keynote in 2nd display. how i can do it? i try to do, but it's always show in 1st display (my macbook). i want it to show on projecter!!!

You have the display set in Extended Desktop mode. In System Preferences>Display on the MacBook screen there should be an Arrangement tab when you have the MacBook hooked up to the TV and both screens working. When you click the Arrangement tab do you see two monitors side by side? One of them will have a Menu Bar at the top. Just click on the Menu Bar and drag it to the second monitor. That will make the second monitor your main screen. You can now use your MacBook in Clamshell Mode with a wired or Bluetooth keyboard and mouse.  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3131 When you disconnect from the projector your Menu Bar will automatically change back to the MacBook.
Or if you want to work on the MacBook screen while showing it on the projector you can check the Mirror Display box on the lower left hand side of the Arrangement tab under the two monitors box.

  • Presenter notes w/o 2nd display?

I often teach where I'm working without a projector or 2nd display. I really like having the presenter display with timer and clock with my speaking notes. Is there a way to use the speaker display even if I'm not presenting any display to my audience?

THanks Gary. Yes this would basically just be using it as electronic notes. I cAn break my notes into many smaller chunks & much larger fonts to help keep my place as my vision is changing on me, and I really want the timer & clock right there. I find myself forgetting to check the time when I first start speaking, or if I'm introduced earlier or later than expected I need to calculate time elapsed/left while still speaking & maintaining my train of thought. Hence absolutely needing the timer instead of simple making my notes be the slideshow itself.

You can't; there's no Thunderbolt port on a Mac Pro. If you just bought the display, try to swap it for the standard 27" LED display with the mini display port connector (that assumes your Mac Pro is a 3,1 or later, which has a mini display port).

  • How to connect an HDMI monitor as 2nd display?

I want to connect an HDMI monitor to my MacBook Pro to use as my second monitor. I need to know what type of cable to use? I use iPhoto and iMovie extensively and it would really help to have a second monitor. Which port on the MacBook would I use?

If your MBpro has a MiniDisplay port or Thunderbolt port then you buy a MiniDisplay port to HDMI adapter and a HDMI cable. (The adapter will plug into the Thunderbolt port).

If you have the new retina model, it has a HDMI port built in.

  • 2nd Display content

I'm able to connect my laptop to my TV and get a 2nd display which contains the Dock while my laptop retains the desktop folders. I know this is a simple question, but how do I direct items like videos or photos to show up on the 2nd display? I can drag windows onto the 2nd display but how do I get Full Screen to show up on 2nd display?

how do I get Full Screen to show up on 2nd display?
It depends on the application. For QuickTime Player 7 (Utilities folder), use "Present Movie" in its "View" menu. For VLC, it's "Full Screen Video Device" in its "Video" menu. For MPlayer OSX Extended, it's "Fullscreen Device" in it's "Movie" menu.

  • I would like to know how to send a presentation from keynote of may IMAC to my IPAD. The problem is that I have Iwork09 and in the IPAD is not possible to open it because it says that it can not open Iwork 09. So how can I do it?

Numbers for iPad will not allow me to import my Numbers '08 worksheets into it.  Ironically, Numbers for iPad will import .xls files.  So, in Numbers '08 I exported to XLS.  Transferred it to my iPad, and opened it with Numbers for iPad.
Seeing as how Apples applications for iPad are pretty limited, I'm guessing you can export your Keynote presentation to PPT and then import the PPT into Keynote for iPad; and that any loss you experience in exporting your presentation can't be played on Keynote for iPad anyway...

  • Can I present a keynote presentation using airplay and Apple TV? How do I set up airplay ?

Can I present a keynote presentation using airplay and Apple TV? How do I set up airplay ?

    Hi Andy,
You can do this reasonably easily.
First up you need to think about how you are going to drive the TV- Your iMac could do it, but a laptop would be easier if you can access one.
Second you need to look at the screen inputs. If it is a flat screen TV it is likely to have at least a VGA connection which you should have a connector to 'out of the box' and it will work much like connecting your mac to a projector would.
If not you'll probably need a connector for your mac that outputs composite (a single RCA connector) or S-Video to connect. You'll need to do this connection and find out the resolution the display supports before the big day (I live in a country with PAL which typically is 720x576). Make the Keynote presso the same resolution and you should be all good. A test drive is essential!
Here's a typical adapter from the Apple Store

Just as a thought- you could just burn a DVD with the images- it's pretty simple to set up (with transitions) a photo library in iDVD, though a little more tricky if you need the images to appear at certain times.

  • How can I connect my iMac [Mavericks OS] to my TV so that I can show a Keynote presentation on the TV?

I want to connect my iMac [Mavericks OS] to my TV so that I can show a Keynote presentation on the TV.  I have a local wireless network.  My TV is Internet accessible.

If you do not have this option, then I would suspect your Mac does not support audio over HDMI.

  • How/where can i download old Apple keynotes ?

I would like to download previous Apple keynote presentations, like WWDC, etc...

All of you responding thus far have been misinterpreting the original poster's inquiry. They are not asking about the presentation app Keynote. They are asking about the Apple WWDC Keynote Presentations.
As to the answer to the question originally asked, this is the App Store community forum. So I can see how the others got confused. Next time ask your question in the appropriate forum.
You can find old WWDC keynotes in iTunes' Podcasts section. Just search for "Apple Keynotes" and you'll find them no problem.
The SD versions go back to 2007, the HD ones only as far back as 2011.
If you want to keep any of the presentation videos, it might be a good idea to click the little cloud icon to download the podcast episode from the server.

  • URGENT: I am trying to present a Keynote or PPT online, HOW?

I need to present my keynote or PPT to people that are in L.A and I'm in Chicago, how can I do this? It has video attached to it, so the HTML doesn't work, and the Quicktime doesn't work right online unless you make the video Timed play, we want it to be a manual presentation with the video attached. I've been at this for over a day, how can I do this?
    HELP PLEASE HELP
    Dan

I thought about that, but it was too much work in the end. I ended up just creating a static html version, and then linked them separately to the video. Not perfect, it would be nice to be able to really create a strong web keynote or online interactive keynote presentation somehow?

  • How do you disable pinch to close presentation in Keynote

How do you disable pinch to close presentation in Keynote?
I am using iPad 2's as kiosks at my work and we are using Keynote to display the content. Is there a way to disable pinch to close?

Try a search for Keynote, Kiosk -  you may find some items there.
My guess is that Apple has a few people around that know how to program their in-store iPads to defeat fumbling fingers. I doubt they are willing to share.
To go one step further with the plexiglass cover idea though, if you have interactions needed from customers then consider making all interactions in the same location on the slide - say, the right hand margin, one on top and one bottom - that way you could put finger holes in the plexiglass cover where the touch points are and avoid potential pinches. You would have to rearrange your slide response areas to match, but it is one way (fairly cheap) to get going if you can't find anything in the apps store or on-line. Try it with a mockup piece of cardboard or plastic sheet and see if it might work for you.
    Good Luck.
