How I can update data in ALV GRID?

Hi all,
I have to update data in an ALV GRID and only one column is editable. I've exclude insert and delete row pushbutton, and I inserted a save pushbutton.
What I have to write under the "save function" to update my internal table displayed in ALV GRID?

    system date and time as a long value.
    ~I think the OP wants to change the system time not just get the system time.

    Hi Friends,
    Iam facing a problem while downloading the data from ALV Grid to excel sheet. This is working fine in Development server , when comes to Quality and Production servers I have this trouble.
       I have nearly 11 fields in ALV Grid and out of which one is PO number of length 10 , all the ten numbers are visible in the excel sheet if we download it from development server but when we download it from Quality or Production it is showing only 9 numbers.
    Can any one help me out in this case.

    if this problems happens dont display the same internal as u finally got.
    just create new internal table without calling any standard data elements and domains... but the new internal table s similar like ur final internal table and move all the values to new int table.
    for eg.
    ur final internal int table for disp,
         data : begin of itab occur 0,
                        matnr like mara-matnr,
                   end of itab.
    create new like this,
               data : begin of itab occur 0,
                        matnr(12) type N,
                   end of itab.

  • How to trigger left_click_run event on ALV GRID

    Can any of u please tell me how to trigger left_click_run event on ALV GRID.
         There is an event LEFT_CLICK_RUN and  its a public accessed event. But the problem is , the corresponding  attribute of this event  "EVENT_LEFT_CLICK_RUN" which is needed to registered that event (We need to register our events through a method set_register_events  using table of type cntl_simple_events...) is protect accessed. So I am unable to use that attribute...Could u please tell  me is there any alternative way to register that event.......ANY POSSIBLE WAY?

    I think you should use event selection_changed. Note that you shouldn't allow multiple selection for the tree at the same time, i.e. use: create object g_tree exporting \[...\] node_selection_mode = cl_gui_column_tree=&gt;node_sel_mode_single.

    You can have as many as ALV output in the screen By using OOPS.
    By using Container you can pass ALV output.

    We have different data sources for sales order header, sales order item level, delvivyer hedear level, delivery item....
    The data will be updated based on Sales order number, delvery number etc..
    Whatever changes you do a sales order, it has a unique number. WIth this as primary key all the related updates are maintained.
    Even for sales order item detail, we refer the header number of sales order and do the updates

    Hi Sunil,
    The Time Profile is first to be maintained by going to the current settings (S_AP9_75000087) and creating one Time Profile as per your requirements.Here you define the Display Period and Planning Periods. If you create Relative days/weeks/ months then it is calculated in relation to the current date.So for example if you want to view 10 weeks in past and 20 weeks in future from today, you give the Start Date as -10 and End date as +20.after selecting Relative month/week/day in the Daye column.
    Similar method is used for both the Display Period and Planning Period. Preferably ristrict the Display period.
    You also have the option of Absolute time where you enter the start date and the finish date as an absolute value in the set period type.This will hard code the dates for you.
    This Profile which you have created needs to be attached to Detailed Scheduling Planning Board - View 1/2/3 which ever you want to use by going to the Profile icon on the top and in the pop up click on the More profiles Tab and putting this value in the Time Profile Box.

    Am exporting the data from ALV GRID DISPLAY to Excel sheet using standard toolbar icon 'Local file'
    the leading zeros displayed in the ALV output is missing in the EXCEL sheet.
    (eg)  in ALV o/p - 0029. 
            in Excel - Only 29 is appearing.
    As per the requiement i have to show the leading zeros in excel also.
