How I Fixed Audigy 2 ZS Popping, Stuttering, Static Noise Probl

I know many people have problems with popping, stuttering and static noise type problems, so I thought I'd share how I (eventually) sorted all my problems out...
I have an ABIT AN7 motherboard so these instructions may need to be customised for other makes/models, but the basic solution was to assign the sound card its very own IRQ in BIOS which is definitely not used/shared (should also work for other SoundBlaster cards)
Also, this involves changing BIOS settings, so don't try this if you're not confident (I take absolutely no responsibility for screw-ups!)
. Uninstall all SB drivers (preferably use Driver Cleaner Pro in Safe Mode)
2. Install/Move the Audigy 2 ZS into PCI slot 3 of the motherboard
3. In the BIOS, disable one of the Serial ports (BIOS > Intergrated Peripherals > Onboard Serial Port 3F8/IRQ4 > Set to DISABLE. This will free up IRQ 4 that was being used
4. Reassign the free IRQ 4 to the Audigy 2 ZS card (BIOS > PnP/PCI Configurations > PIRQ_0 Use IRQ No > Change from AUTO to 4)
5. Save Changes and Exit
6. Reinstall latest SB drivers
I know this will probably not help many people, but it sorted EVERYTHING out for me, so hopefully it'll help someone

Every once in awhile I come across going on the internet or doing essentially anything on my Mac. and my key chain keeps popping up, saying it needs a password. I dont know the password, I dont remember ever putting in a password for it when I first got this. I dont know how to have it stop popping up. Z87 MSI-G45 GAMING - Micro Stuttering / Static Noise

Hi guys,
As per the above subject title, I am currently using a MSI G45 Gaming motherboard + i5 4670k, with a MSI R7970 Lightning with a 650w PSU. Now, the thing is there is this annoying micro stuttering/ static sound that can be heard constantly. The sound appears regardless of whether I am in a game, listening to music or just watching videos.
I've noticed that it only appears after the PC is left powered on for awhile and by doing a reboot of my PC, the stuttering goes away. But it comes back later after a certain period of usage.
Can anyone body advise what is wrong? I have tried updating the BIOS and installing the latest drivers to no avail.
The constant 'clicking/stuttering' is really driving me crazy.

Yeah, the micro stuttering is a real pain in the a**, and unfortunately I believe the only solution is to return the mobo and buy a new one as the MSI Z87 G45 apparently has issues with SSD drives, and the new BIOS updates don't work.
So my solution is now to return the Z87 G45 board, buy a Z87 Gigabyte board instead (Gigabyte has a much better RMA policy) and then format my SSD and update the firmware on it.
As for my GFX card, I've got an HD6970 with double fan coolers. Is nice and quiet and it has always worked troublefree and still does when I plug in other PC's.

Recommended earphones for ZMP to minimize static noise probl

Concerning the Zen Micro Photo known issue interference with the OLED:
Can anyone help me to find out which headphones will eliminate the static noise/humming sounds from the OLED-Display best?
Here are my experiences so far:
- Static noise even more noticeable on the EP 630 earphones than on the cheaper ones the ZMP comes shipped with (EP 480 I think).
- Absolutely no noise on my HiFi-headphones which is an AKG K 280 (but unfortunately by far too big in size for outdoor use)
- Also no static noise and humming when connecting the ZMP to an amplifier via line-in.
- No noise when inserting the headphone jack just halfway so it makes mono output (strange...!) with any earphones.
Is it true that it is only a matter of impedance? My AKG headphones have 75 ohms while the EP 630 only have 6 ohms.
Are there any small earphones with a high impedance?

How to fix streaming audio pops/crackles and then stops all sound

I am a google Chrome user. I am unsure if this problem is related to Chrome or to Flash by I suspect there is a problem with both. I previously had this problem where when you start a youtube video for example the audio would pop/crack and then the audio would go dead. If you were able to put the video on full screen before this happened it would work fine. This really only happens with windowed (non-fullscreen videos). Previously I went in to my chrome plugins and disabled chrome's native flash and that fixed the issue. With the most recent update to Chrome this has happened again. This time disabling chrome's flash does not work. On the adobe version site it says that for chrome the version should be 11.5.31.137 but it shows me as using 11.5.502.146. The latter would be the version for firefox. I do not use firefox. Could this be causing my trouble? I have used the official flash uninstaller and restarted my computer and reinstalled but the same thing happened. Thanks.

I've never looked at this before but it is weird that it is saying that that flash is not used.

I have already gone into Firefox preferences, turned my popup blocker on, and removed all exceptions. However, I'm still getting a TON of popups, mostly for software updates and downloads. There is no malware on my computer and the popups do have the Firefox bookmark bar, so I know they are coming from Firefox.
Please help! It's really frustrating and slowing my computer down because they're constantly getting in the way when I'm trying to navigate.

Hey guys. The problem actually bothers me for a while.
If I input a URL in an (microsoft) Excel Cell then turn it into a hyperlink, when I click on it. The Firfox, which is my default net browser will pop up and show the page I request. But there always has an extra tabs show some other things. Here is a sample:

AppleWorks is a very old application and requires Rosetta to run under recent systems.
Lion does not include Rosetta.
If you browse this forum you will find many posts on this issue.

How do I fix my processor from stuttering?

I have a polycarbonate Macbook[Late 2009] with 2 GB RAM, 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. Whenever I run any game, the game starts stuttering, and lagging in a strange manner. It slows down real bad for about a second or so, then back to normal for the next second. Then once again slows down and then speeds up. The cycle continues till I shut the game. However it only occurs for games, and even though I run them at the lowest possible graphic settings. My AutoCad 2012 is not affected at all. Apparently this is know as stuttering or lagging. I have no idea how to fix this. I have no BootCamp, my Hard Drive is less than 50%, and no applications are running while I play. I even disabled startup applications. Please help, I don't know what is wrong!

Well, as it turns out Facetime has to do some rendering so the cores activate. Now none of my games suffer from this problem. So I open Facetime everytime I login, and none of my games lag! Well, it is a temporary fix, as you'd expect both cores to be running at full steam when your playing a game, and while playing games, no one gives **** on saving battery power. However Apple needs to fix this bug soon.
I'm guessing you're running a Mac with Intel Core 2 Duo? I think it's affecting many users with the same processor.
My Acer with WIndows 7 gives me options of power usage, like 'power saving' and 'full power' and the like.
Apple needs to fix this in 10.6.9.

I saw one post where a user said dust got inside the small microphone hole. Using a vacuum cleaner removed the dust and restored the audio.
