How I fixed the i-pod updater issue!

Seems everyone is having issues with this latest update. IT happened to both of my i-pods. One ipod totally froze and I had to open the unit and disconnect the battery to get it to reboot. The ultimate fix is to remove the Jan 06 ipod updater from your computer, your i-pod, and use the previous version. I removed both itunes and ipod software from my laptop and reinstalled using the CD that came with the unit. After reinstalling, I updated the i-tunes software only!!! Then I restored the software on the i-pod back to the original factory version. This will remove all music and files from your ipod. DO NOT UPDATE THE I-POD SOFTWARE TO THE JAN 06 VERSION! When connecting your i-pod, it will recommend that you do so. Choose cancel and reload your music. You will have to update i-tunes to the newest version first for this to work since your music is stored in "My Music" folder. I hope this helps.

The best advice was to drop it from waist high with a cover on it. I had tried everything else but after four drops this has cleared the problem. I too had suffered this after the Jan 06 update - although nowhere near the problems I had after downloading Itunes 6. What is the matter with you Apple? - please stop "improving"

How I fixed the Spinning Beach Ball Issue

Ok, like many of you, I was also getting iTunes to hang when plugging in my shuffle, and it would just sit with the spinning beach ball. Even after an hour, it was still frozen. Well, I just fixed mine.
I went to check the Library File to see if it was too large or something, and I found my Music folder wouldn't open, and when it did it showed 0 items, yet iTunes was still playing songs. So I ran TechTool Deluxe on it (it came with your APP if you bought one). Anyway, it found Volume errors on the music drive. So I backed up the music folder to another drive, and let TechTool repair the errors. When it was done, I ran it again, no errors. I then opened iTunes, plugged in my shuffle, and it instantly grabbed new songs via Autofill and sync'd. So, I think the iTunes installer is causing errors to the volume, which is causing the hang ups. TechTool was able to fix the errors, and now iTunes runs fine. Hopefully that will help a few of you get yours working again.
For the record, I store my music on my secondary internal drive, and keep the library in my user folder on the boot drive. After running the fix, everything appears to be just fine, and from what I can tell I lost no data.

I hope your Tech Tool Deluxe disk was not version 3.0.3 or earlier. If you used a version of Tech Tool that was incompatible with Tiger, you may have corrupted your harddrive.

The last mac update does not install in my desktop, and actually corrupted my iTunes. Any body knows waht to do?

- Security Update 1.1
After several attempts the sale occurs each time:
1. A message during instalation stating that there was an error and the update could not be installed
2. After restaring iTunes does not work any longer, the following message appears:
"This copy of iTunes is corrupted or is not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes"
Trying to install iTunes directly from the download page og Apple produces also an error message and does not install the program

How to "Fix" the 50% dreaded bug issue on almost all android devices.

I made a post about LG Ally having this issue a few days ago and I've done heavy research on this issue since then and found that pretty much all 2.1 devices have this issue. Yes google is aware of it and I've seen topics where verizon and htc said that they were aware of it too and all 3 companies are working to fix it and push an update. I tested a "fix" to this issue and it seems to work. I don't know if it's permanent but so far my Ally is not showing this issue so let's get to fixing.

How to find out if your android device has this:
--Go to [Settings>About Phone>Battery Use>Cell Standby (if you don't have cell standby in there than you don't have this issue, but if you do doesn't mean you have it, keep reading)>if your time without service is above 50% than you have the bug.]
The fix that I've been testing:
--Open dial pad and dial *#*#4636#*#* (If Testing menu doesn't come up than click "Call" and it will come up)>Go to Phone information>Scroll down and you'll see preferred network type>click it and switch it to GSM/CDMA auto (PRL)
Now your issues should start going away and the time without service will slowly start decreasing. For the first few hours my time without service stayed at about 11% but than dropped to 0% in 24 hours.... You might need to do that step a few times before your phone makes that option a default one. Your phone might try to change preferred network type so check it every 2-3 hours on the first day.

Which method. I would imagine the airplane mode is a temporary fix. Something about it resets the radio apparently. With the *#*#4636#*#* method you need to keep checking it. I have 2 issues with it though. First it does take several attempts before the change sticks. Second since there appears to be no GSM radio I can't see why this is an advantage at all.
I have searched and searched for anything that would explain why this is there and why I can select it on my Incredible but not on my Dad's Moto DROID. Is it possible that the Incredible does have a GSM radio? I can't select a band it force closes on me so I have to assume it doesn't however if you change it to CDMA/GSM AUTO and ping it apparently it does seem to find GSM signals. That is intriguing and a little disturbing. Intriguing because if it is there and inactive then there is a way to activate it and in theory you could use the phone on any network. Disturbing because there is no mention of it anywhere and no way to choose a band. That disturbs me as well because the choosing the band thing, which I could do on my dad's Moto Droid had options for Wimax, several versions of CDMA and all the current itterations of GSM including the new TMobile signal. How cool would it be if you could unlock GSM on this phone and use it on literally any network. I guess it doesn't matter the main advantage we have is the network but if the phone is completely unlockable it makes it that much more valuable.

I was not able to install/update my DocSets, it was giving me "Access Denied".
To fix it, I've simply deleted my "connect.apple.com (malkia)" account from Keychain,
and the next time either the developer.apple.com site, or XCode asked me for password, I made sure that I've entered "[email protected]" as a user name, instead of just "malkia" which used to (and suprisingly still works).
Now under my Keychain it's "connect.apple.com ([email protected])"

Do the following to see the GDI objects used by a Windows application:
Open Task Manager and select Process.

this wont limit it to only 50 chars though, you will probably have to use some javascript to cut the string down to size (unless youre using something like php or asp then that will do the trick too)

If they are iTunes purchased music then go to Settings>iTunes and App Store and turn off Show All.

If it's a credit card then is it registered to exactly the same name and address (including format and spacing etc) that you have on your iTunes account, it was issued by a bank in your country and you are currently in that country ? If it is then you could check with the card issuer to see if it's them that are declining it, and if not then try contacting iTunes support and see if they know why it's being declined : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management

Back to my question...
I tried removing the columnStretching although my requirement really requires this but no effect really happens even if I remove this.
Based on my investigation on the generated HTML, I notice the following items:
1. A table is being wrapped in a div that is being set at a fixed height.
2. On first load, if your autoheight rows is set to 6, the framework is setting a height of 96px to the div. This height would almost cut the last row of the table.
3. If you try to refresh the page or try to re-PPR the component, the framework resets it to 102px which causes the last row to be fully displayed.
My only concern is that IE is perfectly displaying this while Chrome and FF are having problem.
Based on my understanding, the framework is messing up the height only on first load. Not sure but this is how I see it. I am really not confident also on my findings
and I would most likely hear other's comment.

Mozilla, like many other software companies, thoroughly test their software before releasing it to the public and I'm sure that no problem you are having is intentional.
I do not work for Mozilla but I do have experience of releasing software for public usage.
Firefox has no way of knowing what other software is already on your computer and with millions of combinations it isn't always possible to test for every scenario.
You can go back to the old version of Firefox but that won't always solve your problem.

I would recommend to referring to the Canon support group for your geographical area to ensure the proper support application is being used for your product. However. The closest US model would be the imageCLASS MF4370dn. The recommendation when the error occurs with this model is to perform a reset the product. If you have not done so already, please attempt to reset your laser printer as outlined below:
1. Disconnect the power cord attached to your machine while "on" for up to 10 minutes.
2. Reconnect the power cord for the unit and plug it into a different known working outlet direct to the wall (not a surge/power strip) to ensure it is receiving full power.
4. Once your unit has initialized, confirm an error is not displayed in the LCD.
