How i put an XPI extension in the installer of firefox?

You need to go to the add-ons menu through the firefox drop down menu, and then go to extensions. Beside the search add-ons bar, there is a little gear, and you click on that, and hit install add-ons from file. You need to save the something to your computer to put it on Firefox.

I am having this problem as well. I've tried dozens of times at this point. I can produce the apple icon but when I release and press play+select it just reverts back to the red x. The red x is the whole reason I'm trying to get this into disk mode. I need to reset it but I can't until it is in disk mode. I am trying to automate the installation of FireFox to my servers drive "F:" but I have not found a way to script this option. Typical Windows installations would use the INSTALLDIR= option, but this does not work. I have seen several different spins on setting options (like the home page) but none of these scripts seem to address my issue.

When you download the installer, you can specify the install location. Once installed, any updates should also install in that location.

I'm trying to run the installer for firefox on widows 8, but the installer doesn't start.

Earlier today I tried to run Firefox and it didn't start, so I went and uninstalled it, then tried to reinstall it, but the installer would not pop up. But in the task manager I see Firefox 32bit installer is there.I've tried running it with my antivirus off. The installer worked before, and I was able to run Firefox. How to set default file extension in the FileChooser?

We are trying to use the FileChooser but for some reason, it doesn't have any file extensions in the drop down menu (like in windows). Does anyone know how to put this in?
Also, how do we set the file name for the saving file, rather than typing the name in ourself?
Also, how do we position the file chooser dialog in the middle of the screen? Right now, it's in the top left corner of the screen.

How to put a recovery partition on the hard drive

How can I create a recovery partition on the hard drive of my laptop. I had to reinstall the whole system, and tried to use the HP recovery software they sent me but it quit when it was about three quarters the way finished. I had to use a copy of windows 8 to put the system back on my laptop. After I got it all straighten out, I updated it to windows 8.1 and it seems like the computer runs a lot faster with windows 8.1 on it. Now I need to find away to install a recovery partition on my hard drive.

When requesting assistance, please provide the complete model name and/or product number of the HP computer in question. HP/Compaq makes thousands of models of computers. Without this information it may be difficult or impossible to assist you in resolving your issue.

A Recover partition is something the factory places on the computer. It is an image of the factory installation and the software required to restore the computer to a factory like state using that image. You will not be able to create a Recovery partition on your computer unless you use the HP Recovery Discs to return the computer to a factory like state. Please note the HP Recovery Discs and the resulting HP Recovery partition will only contain an image of Windows 8 that cannot be updated to reflect the installation of Window 8.1.
My suggestion is to use the Windows "System Image Backup" utility to create an exact image of the Windows 8.1 partition as it currently is. If your computer developes an issue or you need to replace the hard drive, all you have to do is "restore" the image to the computer. You will need to use an external USB hard drive or other media to store the image. Please see Windows 8.1 Tip: Use System Image Backup for instructions on creating and storing a "Windows - System Image Backup."

How can you put a web link in the detailed navigation?
I know that if your role contains iviews that are 3 levels down (default), then the link to the iview will appear in the detailed navigation. But, I want to put a link to a external site in the detailed navigation - is this possible?

I have a page set with a url iview and it opens from the detailed navigation in a new window fine.
however when clicking on a link to the page via a landing page which displays the KM content page folders, it loads it in the portal active window still (with nav and masthead).
Any ideas how to get the km link to open in a new browser window?

But shortly, you will need to use JNI or get a ready-to-use library like JNIWrapper (http://www.jniwrapper.com/winpack.jsp#tray), for example, that lets you do what you want.

How to put two mono tracks into the usual stereo view in Edit view of Audition 3 ?

Hi guys,
Previously I have had no issues simply using Adobe Audition 3 for simple stereo recording and editing of a stereo feed taken from a mixer... well nearly no issues.... :-)
Today, I'm having a bad day or else it's because I'm getting used to being retired.. :-) ......
Query : How do I put two mono tracks into the usual stereo view in Edit view so they both display correctly there?
Put simply I have two mono wav files. Let's call them Left_wav and Right_wav.
I cannot seem to get them imported into a new clean Edit view (Normal stereo track layout) so that Left_wav is on the top half and Right_wav is on the bottom half.
Whenever I try, I just get either Left_wav or Right_wav taking up the whole of the edit view. i.e. it just shows one track.
Can anyone familiar with Audition 3 kindly help? I'd appreciate a simple step by step... I just can't see where I've been going wrong, and it's driving me bananas :-).

There are various ways to do this in Audition 3. here's one.
Open both mono files separately in Edit view. Then convert Left_wav to Stereo by going to Edit/Convert Sample Type and under Channels select Stereo with Left Mix at 100% and Right Mix at 0%. This will give you a new stereo file with Left_wav on the top channel. Next go to the Right_wav and copy to the clipboard using Edit/Copy. Return to your new stereo file and enable Edit Right channel only in Edit/Edit Channel/Edit Right Channel. Then make sure that the cursor is at start of the stereo file and Paste Right_wav into the bottom channel of the new stereo file. Finally Save As.

Find the com.apple.dock.plist file in your Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Preferences Folder, drag it to the Desktop, log out/in or restart and let us know what happens.

I want to add phone extensions to the main phone number in contacts. How do I do it?

From what I read, using a comma to separate the main number from the extension should work. It inserts a pause, with each additional comma increasing the length of the pause. So:
4155551234,,3710484
might be long enough for the automated system to pick up and reach the point where it'll accept the extension number. If not, add more commas.
Commas will also sync to your iPhone if you have one, and work as intended.

You would use the when-tab-page-changed trigger to use hide_view and show_view commands to hide one stacked canvas and show another.
Just keep in mind that for a canvas to be displayed, the cursor must be in an item on that canvas, or at least in an item NOT covered by the canvas.

How to bring Adobe Acrobat X to the Toolbar of Firefox?

I have W-XP PC wihth installed Adobe Acrobat X Standard (AAXS). For web-page to pdf conversion, I need AAXS icno in the Toolbar of Firefox. How can I do so?

Adobe Acrobat X Standard should add a convert button to convert pages to PDF.
I'm not sure if it creates its own toolbar to do this, or just adds the button. To check for a toolbar, in the View menu select Toolbars, if there is an Adobe toolbar listed, click on its name to toggle displaying it. If there is no Adobe toolbar shown, try the procedure in the [[How to customize the toolbar]] artilce to see if you can drag and drop the convert button onto a toolbar.
