How i put my backup of the old iPhone in the new 4s??

I had the Iphone 3Gs and now I bought the new 4s. How can I transfer my backup of the old 3Gs on my new 4s?

Once again thank you for your eagle eye .I was aware of no computer .I generally do read the OPs carefully
I was referring to itunes on the device as was the App store .I do believe they are the correct terminology and since the OP has no computer would know of nothing else
It is so good to feel you are watching over me and my  posts Thank you again

There is no need to "buy" appliclations again.  You can backup your old phone to iCloud and restore the backup to the new phone.  You can also re-download them for free from the App Store.

Are these photos you took with your old iPhone?  If so, import them to your computer (as they should have been in the first place).  Once on your computer, synch them to your new iPhone.

  • How can I transfer my contact from old iphone 4 to new iphone 5S

Hi, Please help me out to transfer my contact from my old iphone 4 to new iphone 5S, I could transfer photos only.

Contacts should be in your supported computer contacts application.
Did you sync with your computer befor? Check your computer's Address book/Contacts/Outlook or some other contacts application.
    * Your contacts are part of the backup to preserve recent calls and favorites lists. Back up your contacts to a supported personal information manager (PIM), iCloud, or another cloud-based service to avoid any potential contact data loss.

How do I get all of the songs purchased or stored on my old iphone to my new iphone - some of them are not on a computer.

You need to get them to a computer.  Synch your phone to iTunes, and make sure you've transfered all your purchased to iTunes.  Synch your new phone to iTunes.
You cannot transfer songs directly from one phone to another without the use of iTunes on your computer,

I understand that.  I'm curious as to what will transfer and what won't transfer via backup.  From the research I've done, texts and voice messages won't transfer but voice messages are persistent with the provider, so I won't really lose them.  What else won't transfer?  Pictures? Safari cache (i.e. saved passwords for web sites)?  Will those transfer?

I've just got a new iPhone, and I want to transfer messages etc. from my old one to the new one.
Can this be done, and if so how?
    Duncan

The general way many people like to try is:
Step 1. Backup your old iPhone to iTunes or iCloud
Step 2. Restore your new iPhone with the backup file of the old iPhone
And there are other options as well. You can type in google "transfer text messages from old iPhone to new iPhone" to find a third-party tool.

  • HT4623 how do you get pictures from your old iphone to your new iphone

I am just wondering how do you get your old pictures off your old iphone 4 to your new iphone 5?

If you are referring to pictures in the camera roll of the old device, you could always restore the new device from a backup of the old device. If you do not want to do that, then you would have to import the photos from the old device to the computer, and then sync the photos from the computer to the new device.

  • How do I move music from my old IPhone to a new one?

My old music is from CD's that I own.  I put them on my phone a couple years ago thru Itunes with no problem.  Now it seems that Itunes will only let me add music to my phone if I buy it from them.

I'm using a PC, not a Mac.  My system is using Wi-Fi.  And like I say, using ITunes there is no way to upload my music to my IPhone.  Clicking on devices only gives me the option to Sync, and restore.  I've even tried backing up the old phone, which has the same name as the new one, and then restoring it to the new phone but it won't move the music to the new phone.  I checked out the ITunes Match.  Now I'm not a real bright guy but it looks like Apple wants me to pay them $25 a year to listen to my own music on my own phone.  I mean, it's not like I'm stealing anything.  I paid for the phone and I paid for the music.  Why should I have to pay them to sisten to it?

Use this app My Contacts Backup on the iTunes App Store,
It will make a vcard (.vcf) file containing your contacts and email it to the address you choose. Just import it to the iCloud account on your Mac and it will be available to all your Macs and IOS devices in iCloud.
If you keep a copy after you import you will have a handy backup as well.

  • How to transfer purchased apps from my old iPhone to my new iPhone?

I have purchased some apps on an old iPhone 2G, but have purchased a iPhone 3G now. I assume I won't have to pay for those apps twice? Does anyone know how i can get them installed on my new phone? (haven't got the phone yet, just want to be prepaired)

All apps purchased and downloaded via iTunes on your computer, or the same with your iPhone should be available in your iTunes library.
When syncing the iPhone 3G with iTunes, you select the applications that you want installed on your iPhone 3G under the Applications tab for your iPhone sync preferences. No different from selecting the iTunes content that you want transferred to the iPhone.

  • HT201269 How do I transfer apps from my old iphone to my new one?

I just got an iPhone 5.  I had done a backup of my iPhone 3GS.  After restoring to the new phone I do see my pictures and contacts but I'm missing all of my apps.
How do I transfer the apps?

Are the apps in itunes on your computer?
The backup does not contain any itunes content.  You should always make sure that everything is on your computer. If you have failed to do this, then you will need to redownload the apps.  Open itunes store on your computer, click Purchased under Quick Links

  • How do i transfer pictures from my old iphone to my new iphone?

i just got a new iphone 4s today, after having a regular iphone 4... i am just wondering how to transfer picture, aps, and music to my new iphone 4s.

All photos on your iPhone 4 that were transferred from your computer should remain on your computer and can be transferred to your iPhone 4S in the same way - via the iTunes sync/transfer process which is selected under the Photos tab for your iPhone 4S sync preferences with iTunes.
Photos/videos in your iPhone 4 Camera Roll can and should have been imported by your computer as with any other digital camera. After the photos/videos have been imported by your computer, they can be transferred to your iPhone 4S as with any other photos/videos - via the iTunes sync/transfer process.
All 3rd party apps on your iPhone 4 should be in your iTunes library on your computer. The apps can be transferred to your iPhone 4S via the iTunes sync/transfer process which is selected under the Apps tab for your iPhone 4S sync preferences with iTunes.
The first time you connect a new iOS device to iTunes on your computer that is used to sync with another iOS device, you should be prompted to transfer the backup for the other iOS device to the new iOS device. Were you not provided this prompt?
