You need to take something like a paperclip, and carefully slide it into the little hole in the sim slot on the side of the phone. Press firmly and the tray should slide out.

You do realize that the SIM only contains account information for your wireless account.
Moving the SIM from phone to phone does not cause any of your iTunes content, contacts, email, etc to magically appear on the device. -
i have an iphone 4s i used to USA, when i come in Haiti and put another sim card it asks me to activate it.
i cannot activate it. how can i know if it's unlocked or not?As Kilted Tom said, make sure that you speak with your previous provider. ATT will direct you to a website and have you enter in some information which will determine if you qualify for the unlocking status. After you complete that, you will need to restore your phone as new through iTunes. Make sure that you have a backup to iCloud in order to retrieve your content and data after you restore your device.

Hi! I need help! I put my sim card into a new iphone (3g) and then tried to put it back into the old one to get my contacts from it. Now the old iphone is locked and it's asking for a passcode, but I never set up a passcode on it. Has anyone experienced this or does anyone know what to do? Thanks!
Not sure if this applies to your region, but in Australia the SIM password is often written on the "credit card" sized plastic card that the SIM was provided to you with the phone by the telco. Do you still have this? It could be in the iPhone box?

There is no way that you can locate the iphone at all.
The thief can restore it and use it as their own. You will never know or be able to tell what they do with it.

Just back it up to your computer using iTunes By connecting it to your compute, launching iTunes, then going to File>Devices>Back Up (transfer purchases of prompted). Then restore the iTunes backup to your new phone.

The iPhone under normal circumstances does not store contacts on the SIM Card. It can read them, but again under normal circumstances does not write them to the SIM Card.
When you sync your new iPhone to iTunes on your usual computer you can restore from a Back-Up of your old iPhone to get Contacts and other data and files installed on your new iPhone. -

The SIM Card for iPhone 3GS is too big to fit into iPhone 4. It is completely compatible, so it must be carefully cut and oriented to the exact size with sharp scissors. Best solution is to get a Micro SIM Card from your Carrier, which should be free.

You will have to be very careful. You may be able to use an exacto knife to remove the nano sim. However, it is highly likely you will, if you haven't already, damage the sim card reader. You may have to disassemble the device and even then sometimes it's not possible to remove it without damaging the sim card reader.
