What do I use Firefox for , on my home PC Windows.
How is it useful to use, and what does it do. If I don't use it, should I remove the program ?

Just so you'll know, there is no Java on that page. There is, however JavaScript. You should know that those two things are different as night and day.

What does "Group" mean in get info windows?

The group is the Unix group to which the file belongs. Every group has a numeric identifier (the gid) as well as an (alphanumeric) name. The numbers you see when you choose "other" in the drop-down menu which selects the group, are the gid's.
For example, an administrative account obtains administrative permissions by virtue of being a member of the "admin" group. Although the folder /Applications is owned by the user root, it is also owned by the group admin which has been given write, as well as read permission. This write permission is precisely what allows any member of the admin group--that is, any administrator of the machine--to drag applications into /Applications. On my computer, the admin group has gid 80, and so that is what I see as the number next to "admin" under "other".

Troubles shooting with burning data on my mac, I try to burn pictures on a CD-R disk, and I get a window that says, "Burning failed", one of the volumes on the disc is still in use", what does this mean??

You have a disc inside your optical drive.

Remove the extra disc.

How you are burning? Through iMac? External burner?

Can anyone tell me how these get there? Can a website be posted even if it was never went to? What does the space amount mean? For example, 1.5 kb...is this quite a bit? Would it indicate someone has gone to a site multiple times?
I share my ipad with my teenage daughter and I'm trying to find out if she's lying to me. Obviously she's swearing that she has "no idea" how these got there and I'm trying to keep her safe (she's only 14).

Think of your PC and the 'temporary internet folder' where it keeps cached copies of web pages or elements off a web page for 'quicker display the next time you visit'. That's pretty much what that folder is. 1.5K is tiny. Probably just a basic page with some text on it. (you might be confusing 1.5K with 1.5 megabyte....megabyte is large...it's roughly 1000 kilobytes, so the 1.5K is a tiny file)
As far as I know, the only way info gets into that folder is if the browser has been to that site.
if you have a concern there are browsers out there, McGruff is one i've seen recommended, that allow some degree of parental control and supervision. That or you could passcode lock the iPad or enable the restrictions to turn off some parts of the device to have some control.

What does Firefox Nightly mean? What does Firefox Metro Style mean?

I do not know what Nightly refers to or what Metro Style refers to. I am using Windows 8 but at this time do not have a touch screen with my home computer. thanks

Nightly is the name of one of four main development channels of Firefox.
The four are Release, Beta, Aurora and Nightly. Release has 26.0, Beta has 27.0b (beta 6 currently), Aurora has 28.0a2 and Nightly has 29.0a1.
Nightly and even Aurora gets checkins pretty much everyday so they get updates each of those days.

How do i know who uses what scoring system

When i went to the bank they pulled my credit score I was a 575. This was last month. When i looked at fico08 i was in the 400's now they're 489,489, and 520, So out of curiosity I signed up for transunion and pulled my Vantage scores they are all 665 or better but below 700,So i asked the credit union what scoring system do the use. She couldnt tell me.So how would I know? it's either i lost 100 point or gained 100 points..........This has me more confused than ever. as I'm looking to finace through them in the spring....So i want the best possible score. why do they insist on making it so difficult.

If you talked to the general csr up front, they wont know. If you talked to a person in the actual dept for what you are applying for, I dont know what to say, as they should definitely know what model scores they look at.
