LDAP is used to control access and authenticate iCS 2.x users. It
is also used to store user preferences. The LDAP schema required by iCS 2.x
is described
in the Administration
Guide. Netscape Directory Server 4.1 already incorporates
this schema. In order to use other LDAP servers, the schema needs to
be modified
to support iCS schema.

If you mean the ability to do this system wide (and not just in your app) then you would need to use JNI and a HOOK function (assuming this is windows you are talking about). I am sure there are similar hooks in UNIX/LINUX.

Tim's example returning all the attributes of current user which is admin user. Please correct me if I am wrong.
I have the following information:
the admin user and password,server info , port and ldap_base for admin.
I have uid and password for regular user, I am trying find the ldap_base for regular user, which may be different from adminuser.

In order to reliably save the info and be able to restore at a later date, you would need to use his AppleID.
Switch to it on iTunes, back the iPad up and confirm the backup exists (Preferences / Devices), then switch to yours, wipe the iPad and start afresh. Will also wipe his apps, as they are tied to the AppleID as well.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

I have more than one version of GR5 on my mac. How do I know which is being used by logic 9?

Hi, I'm new to logic pro and would realy appreciate some help. I have several versions of guitar rig 5 on my mac. How do I find out which one is being used in logic.
I looked in plugins and see a version that is only 109 mb but I have another that is over 500 mb on my desktop. Can I just drag and drop this into plugins folder?
Sorry if I seem a bit stupid but I can't make out what is being used as the one called up in logic seems to be the full version.

The presets from earlier versions of GR should all be in the same place anyhow.. so reinstalling GR5 into it's correct locvation shouldn't affect anything regarding those other presets. In fact, as far as I can recall.. GR5 should ask if you want to import older presets when you first run GR5 standalone (The app version of GR5 in your applications folder) after install....
Then those same presets should be present in in the AU version of GR5....
Also GR4 (So long as you updated it to the latest version via the Service Center) should also continue to work with Logic Pro anyhow.. and load when you load an older project which used that version....
Finally, any version you may have installed elsewhere.. won't work with Logic Pro because LP uses the AU Component version that is installed by the NI installer and therefore located in your components folder... Those other versions are more likely to be copies of the standalone version.. which LP9 doesn't use.

The probable reason you are seeing the behavior you are is due to a reconfiguration of the digital port. The Write to Digital Port VI is setup to configure the entire port, then write to one line (default settings). If you reconfigure the port it will reset all the lines, and then write your new value. You will want to use the iteration input on the Write to Digital Line so you can avoid the reconfiguration issue.
The first time the Write to Digital Line is executed in your code wire a 0 to the iteration (or leave it unwired). This will configure the port for write and write your first value. The next time you use the write to digital port VI wire an integer greater than 0. This will bypass the configuration step and simply write the new value to the
line. You can open the Write to Digital Line VI to see how the iteration input effects the execution and configuration of the digital ports.

I ended up shutting down my system, and when I started it back up, I was able to drag the photo to the trash and delete it (I did get a message warning that my deleting the photo might negatively affect the application that was "using" it, but I deleted it anyway...it worked...and I'm hoping I didn't adversely affect another application!).

How do i get it to display the correct internal usage now that photo stream is off? I also thought that icloud used another form of storage outside of the internal storage for photos, so im not exactly sure why the photos were ever in my internal storage to begin with. Does anyone know how that happens, or how to correct this problem? Im also trying to sync my ipad with my computer hoping that'll help, but nothing so far, its just taking a long time to back up.

If you are syncing now, that may correct the incorrect storage reading - assuming that it is incorrect.
You can also try something like this. While the iPad is still connected to iTunes - but after you sync - go into the Photos Tab in iTunes and toggle setting for Sync Photos From. Uncheck the setting and then check it again. See if that affects the capacity bar to show the correct storage amount.

You've somehow already pinpointed the problem, of course (Office). Many people seem to run it successfully. Maybe re-install it?
Anyway, if this were happening to me, I would be looking more closely (via Activity Monitor) at how the RAM is being used. With "All Processes" being shown, sort by "Real Memory" and see who is the hog.

the user administration (UME) gives you the information about the user <-> group <-> role assignment.
When you know the role, search in the PCS for it, open the role and you will see all the pages / iviews assigned to the role.
