How is Maximum ram that Logic can address?

I have 7 Gig RAM on my 8 core, and I'm wondering if it makes sense to increase it to i.e. 12 or 16 Gig. Can Logic address so much ram to itself?

I have never been able to get Logic to use more than about 2100MB of RAM, according to menumeters. It starts disabling plugins, telling me that I don't have enough RAM and behaving erratically once the amount of RAM used reaches this level.
Considering Leopard by itself uses anywhere from 300-600MB of RAM, that's a lot less than 2.7GB being used explicitly by logic. This means that the 2.7GB limit might just be a hypothetical limit that actually isn't possible. Or menumeters isn't as accurate as I thought it was.
I'm going to try opening virtual instruments in a separate application and see if this helps let me access more RAM at all.

Open the Mac App Store and try purchasing Mountain Lion 10.8. If you get told it's incompatible, choose About this Mac from the Apple menu, check if the computer has at least a Core 2 Duo(not Core Duo) or better CPU with at least 2GB of RAM, and if it does, phone the online Apple Store and order a download code for Lion 10.7.

A similar thing happened when I updated the ios on my ipad. But, I was able to reboot, and then restore from backup.   How can I get my ipod to reboot and allow restore when it is not even recognized as I reconnect to my computer?

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

This happened to me also, a few days ago... I went to look at pics that were sent from just one person, all the other photos that people texted are there during same time period. It is only this one contacts several photos that disappeared... There is an arrow when I click on it it goes to a blank page?!? Have you received any feedback or answers?? Go to http://appleid.apple.com.
To clarify, the mere act of changing the Apple ID on the device will not remove any content. But you cannot update the apps or re-sync them if they get deleted without the old Apple ID. It may be best to download them again with the new ID.

How to set variables that queries can use?(10g)

I am using only ONE TABLE here for all queries. I have one query which pulls out a key and seven other queries that create seven different report sections based on that key. All queries access data in the same table.
The first query ahould set a key so the other seven can use that key to get data. The key changes everytime all seven queries get executed and a report page is displayed, then the queries use the new key until all keys generated by the first query are used.
Questions?
How do I get the seven queries to check that key. Can you have (declare) variables in Reports Builder that you can assign a value in every iteration and then include a check (for that value)in a where clause of other queries? If yes how would I do that?
In a programming language this is simple, you pass the same value as a parameter to several functions... Can you do something similar here and set a value that all queries can check against? Like a local or global variable.

How to reconnect files that I can't find on my computer now?

When I got onto my computer and went to Final Cut Express, a couple of my files had apparently gone offline and whilst I know how to fix that I don't know how to reconnect files that I for some reason can't find in the same file, on my computer, that they just were in. I was able to reconnect 2 of the 3 files that were offline but the third I am having trouble with. I did not delete it (it's a sound clip) (and I know I didn't because I looked in my trash) and it's neither on my desktop or the file for this project like it normally would be and I'm wondering if Final Cut moved it or if its hidden or something. I did also search my computer and couldn't find it.
This is a project I am working on that needs to be turned in tomorrow (which was totally realistic until I decided to check on it once more) and now I think I can get an extension until Thursday, so I would GREATLY appreciate any helpful tips or advice anyone can give!

Hello Sarah,
FCE should not delete anything from your computer as it deals only with file paths rather than the real media files.
If this audio file is not anywhere to be found on your computer then you will have to get another one if possible.
Did you move any files using the Finder the FCE relied on?
The only time I have heard of files going missing like this is when they are bounced from FCE to Sound Track or Motion.
If you did not do this then it's a mystery???

Is there a maximum number of printers that iOS can address/list?

A school client of ours has raised this question regarding their iPads, and I can't find an answer anywhere (they believe the limit is eleven printers): can anyone come up with a definitive number?

I did mean preferences.
The buggy software seems to be Portrait Pro or one of Nik programs.
To use Portrait Pro I select it by:
LR>Preferences>external editor>choose>”PortraitProfessionalStudio.app"
If I start by using Portrait Pro on a photo I follow:
Edit in>Portrait Pro
Up until this point everything works fine. No worries.
However, as soon as I use one of the Nik software programs, Portrait Pro is removed from as the external editor and replaced by the which ever Nik program I use.
This phenomena does not happen any other plug in except for the Nik suite.
So, either Nik somehow removes Portrait Pro or Portrait Pro has something within it’s coding that allows it to be removed as the external editor and no longer viable unless I go back to Preferences and repeat the steps:
LR>Preferences>external editor>choose>”PortraitProfessionalStudio.app”
Of course, Nik says it is a flaw with Portrait Pro and Portrait Pro says it is a flaw with Nik (shocker), but such is life

In general, for best performance, it's best to match up the same size modules in each slot (2x2 in this case). However, given that it's only going to read 3GB, I'm not sure if that holds true here.
