How is my upload speed nearly the same as my downl...

I've moved back into a property were I had an 8mb connection 6 years ago. Somehow I'm not able to achieve this anymore and since the weekend my connection has dropped by 1.5 to 2 times?
The internet went off for most of last Friday and since it has been back on I've had a terrible connection. Its becoming frustating as I'm disconecting from online games and I am now unable to stream without constant buffering (even on low quality).
Last week 2 PC's were able to stream and while one was downloading but this week only one can just about stream but with constant buffering issues.
Whats happened? A neighbours hub went down at the same time. Is it due to the infinty upgrade at the exchnage? This would be unfair if so.
Here are my latest connection stats, notice how my upload is now close to over taking my download! Any help/advice would be gratefully appreciated! Nothing has changed with respect to my internal setup.

Another update. Same as before, pc boots up and shows a 2meg line in my network conns and then it steadily drops to 1meg over 2-4hrs. My internet just locked up after 5 days of constantly being on and hub restarted on exactly the same connection (1meg) lol
Noise is 8 and BT have told me I'm suppose to be on 5 meg min lol On a plus note I can switch to infinty and it'll cost me no extra apart from having to restart a contract! My spped on infinity is considerably faster. Lets see how it goes.
They couldn't book an appointment for an engineer as the engineer booking system was down and I'm to expect a phone call within 2 days ^^
upload is still just under a meg aswell.
Here's my embarassing stats (note that the router just locked up, so I suppose a gotta put up with crappy internt again for 3-5 days??????) What a margin breaker the exchanges have!

I can tell you how to do this but first wanted to be sure that's what you want to do. You would then be sharing the same iCloud account and any synced data (contacts, calendars, etc.) would then be merged and the merge data would appear on her phone and your iPad (i.e., you'll end up with each other's contacts on your phone). You would also both be backing up your devices to the same account, sharing the 5GB of free storage (assuming you're both backing up to iCloud).
There's an alternative setup that would allow her to set up your iCloud account on her phone as her primary account and just turn on photo stream in that account (allowing your to share you photo stream), then set up a secondary iCloud account on her phone that would sync her Mail, Notes, Contacts, Calendars and Reminders. She would still have to back up her phone to your account, as well as syncing Safari, Documents and Find My iPhone (all of which can only be done in the primary account). Also, her mail would be fetch, not push as push email is only supported in the primary account.
I suppose a third option is to leave things as they are and share you photos with each other using shared photo streams.

I am editing a ten minute video down to a 90 second clip, with an added jpeg and a watermark. The first (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQ3UOlHY3GE) turned out fine in terms of HD and widescreen. The second (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wgin-kBcep8) has not – it’s all scrunched. They both started out as identical format [1920x1080, 14005kbps data rate, 14133kbps total bitrate, 50 frames/second) MP4 files; the good output format is a (1920x1080, 25920kbps data rate, 2630kbps total bitrate, 25 fps) “Movie Clip”, whereas the poor output is a (720x576, 28807kbps data rate, 30343kbps total bitrate, 25fps) “Video Clip”.
How do I arrange it for the Premiere output to be as near the same as the input as possible, so as to present in YouTube as HD and fully widescreen? My guess is that I am doing something stupid when I open the incoming file.

In your initial post, you state:

If that is correct, then you ARE starting out with full-HD material, and that should be a PAR = 1.0 (Square Pixels) and 16:9 Aspect Ratio. Outputting to 1920 x 1080, should yield 16:9 with Square Pixels, as well.
Now, one of your output tests WAS to SD, and you state:
the poor output is a (720x576, 28807kbps data rate, 30343kbps total bitrate, 25fps) “Video Clip”.
but there is no mention of that output file's PAR, so it could be 4:3, or 16:9. The down-rezzed Export file WILL not look as good as full HD output to full HD.
I think that that latter 720 x 576 confused Harm, or maybe I am the one, who is confused?

Strange download/upload speeds using the airport express as a repeater

HI,
i am having strange speed issues. Let me start off by stating my AirPort Extreme is on the middle floor of a 3 story condo. The condo has 2ft concrete slabs between floors. I have a repeater for the first floor as my signal strength was poor. I get great speeds on the same floor as the AirPort Extreme 45/15. On the 1st floor with the airport express, I get 4 down/12 up. My upload speed is always faster by a wide margin. On the 3rd floor (no repeater) I get similar results. I don't understand how my upload speeds are preserved, yet my download speeds via the repeater or 3rd are awful.
HElp! I'm using 2.4gHz for better penetration and I have changed the channels to help with congestion. Any ideas ?

Having the upload speed not change is odd indeed, but the loss of download speeds can almost invariably be attributed to the concrete walls in your condo. These do a poor job of allowing Wi-Fi signals to pass through them. Your actual Internet speeds are not affected by them, but the overall bandwidth speeds between the Internet server and your computer will be.
The best solution, albeit maybe not practical, would be to interconnect each of these base stations with an Ethernet connection and reconfigure the entire network for roaming.

IPhoto uploading 2 of the same images

my iPhoto keeps uploading two of the same images, one is lighter than the other one. I was wondering how to make it only upload the one photo from the SD card instead of making one lighter and then uploading the original it sounds weird and I don't know what setting this is or if it is something I did , but I was wondering if anyone knows how to fix it to is having the same problem?

Go into "Settings" on your iPhone, select "Photos & Camera", scroll down to "Keep Normal Photo", and turn off. Your Macbook will then only download 1 image instead of 2.
That is risky. You may be throwing away the only good version, sight unseen.
When shooting HDR I would always keep the normal photo, because the HDR versions can be really bad. The problem is, that i is not really possible to judge the quality of the HDR version on the tiny iPhone screen. The iPhone has to combine multiple JPEGs into one HDR photo, and if the lighting is poor, the subject moved, or you could not hold the iPhone steady, the HDR version will be horrible, but the normal photo acceptable. After comparing the normal photo and the HDR version on my Mac, I usually discard the HDR version and keep the normal photo.

How to install several instances of the same application on a computer?

I have an application in LV 2009, where I have created an installer. The installer installs to a directory called \Receiver relative to the Program Files directory. If I install this once to a computer, everything is OK.
However, I want to install the same application twice on the same computer. There should be no conflicts between the two applications, since I can configure them to work on different directories and ports. But if I call the installer again, and selects another directory, nothing is installed and I get the message "Installation Summary - No software will be installed or removed". It seems like the installer ignores that I have selected another directory, and just uses the default directory, relative to the Program Files directory.
Anyone knows the trick, how to install several instances on the same computer ?

Hi Jan,
This is so because each installer has a GUID that is used to check whether the application needs to be upgraded or not. (It's a Microsoft function).
What you can do is create a new installer with a different GUID (copy the installer in the projects), and check witha text editor whether this GUID has changed.
But any specific reason you need two seperate installs? You can run the application twice with a specific INI token:

my question is "How to create many user in the same database(application)?"
for example, i have students, teachers, and staffs user using my application.
i can create many users to use the same application right?, how ^^''' ???
(right now i can only create application and then it shows every data in my DB
but i want it to show only the data for the user who login to that application)

You need to create a user table within your application that maintains their privileges. If you have LDAP you could use this for authorisation otherwise the table would handle that as well (store passwords etc). Your reports etc would then be filtered on information from this table.
Check out some of the sample applications to see how authorisation and access is implemented (Online store is one). The how-to on the issue tracking system should also have some useful pointers.

On Demand doesn't support adding attachments via web services. One
solution I've seen is depending on the scenario is to create a web link
field on an object that's based on a custom text field. Your web service
can populate that custom field and the web link can generate a dynamic
link to the file in On Demand's UI. However, this depends on where the
attachment is located and if the user needs some sort of firewall access.

Yes, you can download iTunes for Windows using Parallels. If planning on making purchases here and/or authorizing already purchased tracks (from your Mac iTunes library), you are permitted to authorize five (5) computers as per iTunes Store terms of use, regardless of computing platform. No need to create a separate new iTunes Store account.
However, judging from what you would like to do, your best bet would be to convert the WMAs to AAC/MP3 in iTunes-Windows (iTunes-Mac cannot import WMA files), and drag the files from the Parallels window to your desktop to add to the iTunes-Mac library. (as the iPod itself is currently linked to your iTunes-Mac library)
