How is 'See Reply' button supposed to work? (The arrow thingy)

I'm curious what this button is supposed to do. It's been flakey in the past (tiger) but now seems to be functioning again with Leopard. However, it is not doing what I'd expect. Questions :
1/ If you reply more than once, to an email, what should this button do?
2/ If you forward and email, what should it do?
Any insights would be welcome, since I can't trust it's behaviour for my own testing.

To be clear: the circular arrow is to show that an email has been replied to, the straight arrow from left to right is to show that an email has been forwarded.
When clicking on a circular arrow - and assuming the reply has not been deleted - the email you sent as a reply will pop up.
If you reply more than once to the same email, clicking on the circular arrow will only pop up the first reply, and also will not indicate you replied to that email more than once.
If you reply to one email and also forward it, the forward arrow will sometimes show up instead of the reply arrow, sometimes it will not and the reply arrow will show, clicking on the forward arrow when it shows up will pop up the first email you sent as a reply or the only one if there was only one. if you forward more than once, the first forward will only show up.
It gets confusing I think and that feature is far from useful because it it apparently not reliable 100% of the time.
What I do to track multiple replies to the same email is to use rules with smart mailboxes, e.g. return mail residing in inbox and sent box if I want to see multiple replies to the same email that still is in the inbox. One can get very creative with rules for sure.

Can not type in the body of email program & reply button does not work.

I installed 10.4 (Family Pack) on my G4 400 and after a few days the email program does not work as it originally did. The reply button no longer works. (It did for a few days.) Additionally on a new mail or mail forward. I can not type in the body of the email after the first word. It just beebs at me. (It did work as normal for a few days.) I can still receive and can send mail. I have also installed this Family pack on my iMac flat panel G4 and have no mail problems. That mac is about 200 mile from this location. Before I installed 10.4 I was using 10.3.9 and mail was ok. I use high speed internet with the iMac and use dialup with the G4.

I've lost track of what computer you have where, and I don't understand why you keep installing buggy OS X 10.4.0 on systems that worked fine under OS X 10.3.9, without being able to update to install system updates afterwards.

In addition to some utilities mentioned there for cache cleaning, you may also consider OnyX, if for no other reason, because it's free:

Although utilities such as OnyX allow you to clean many caches with just a click of the mouse, I'd recommend to be as selective as possible and clean them up one at a time, to try to identify which exactly is causing your problems, if any. This information, in turn, could be useful for other users. I'm pretty sure some Mail problems are related to cache issues, but I don't yet know which cache exactly is the culprit here (since it was not the Mail cache, I would say that the fonts cache should be next in the list).

How is the continue button supposed to work?

I have a quiz where each question is submitted before continueing to the next question. When all the questions are answered and the results page is displayed, the quiz acts as if the 'Continue' button has already been pressed. However if I take that same quiz and change it to 'Submit All' with a 'Next' button to go to the next slide after answering and then when complete and 'Submit All' is selected - the results page is displayed and stays there until I actually press the 'Continue' button. Does anyone know why the 'Continue' button works for a 'Submit All' quiz and not where each question is submitted individually?

I did checked just now and it works for me i.e. it does stop on both occasion whether I have Submit All enabled or not.
Can you remove the Quiz Result Slide and add it again from Quiz Preferences--Settings and check if the slide does pause for Continue button.

i've disabled adblock and reset the zoom however it does not seem to work.

Assuming both devices are on the same network and that AirPlay is not turned off on the Apple TV, then simply tap on the screen when you are watching content you wish to stream to your Apple TV, then tap the airplay icon that appears in the control bar, choose the Apple TV from the menu that appears.
When displaying the content you wish to mirror on the iPad 2 (or better), iPad Mini, iPhone 4S (or better), double tap the home button (quickly) and swipe the bottom row of apps to the right to reveal the playback controls, tap the AirPlay icon and select your Apple TV from the list of available devices.

Reply buttons won't work

I just upgraded from Panter to Tiger. Mail is working except for one thing: the Reply functions (Reply and Reply All) don't work. The buttons and the keyboard commands do not bring up a Reply message. Just nothing happens. Forward, New Mail, Delete, and the other functions DO work. Any help on how to get them function is much appreciated.

This particular problem in Mail is usually caused by some Launch Services cache or preferences corruption. The following article describes how to manually reset Launch Services. The notes at the bottom of the article also provide information about the side effects of deleting each of the files involved.

It seems that the most appropriate utility for solving this particular problem is Tiger Cache Cleaner.
In addition to the utilities mentioned above, you may also consider OnyX, which is free. If you want to try OnyX, after installing it, do this (be sure to read the articles about the side effects of cache cleaning first):
1. Quit all applications.
2. Launch OnyX and enter your administrator password.
3. Click Maintenance. In the Reset section, check LaunchServices database.
4. You may uncheck any other pre-checked options if you've already done them using other utilities.
5. Click the Execute button.
If that doesn't solve the problem, you may try again checking the Links between documents and applications option in step 3 instead.
And yet another free cache cleaning utility is Cache Out X.

Suddenly reply button does not work. Reply changes to Reply All then Back

My Mail program has been working for a few days no problem, then yesterday the reply button stopped working. When I select reply it changes to Reply All then Back to reply again. I can create a new message and click send - with no problem.
I tested the account with Connection Doctor and I am connected to the outgoing and incoming mail just fine. My webmail program for the email also works, so I'm pretty sure its a Mail program issue.
Any ideas?

Hey there.... so just to rule out anything to do with Avast I deleted it and re-started the computer.
I checked Mail and I still have the default toolbar, I dragged it to the top again just to make sure.
I just replaced my batteries in both the mouse and keyboard.
Also, I can forward the message and click send. I can also create a new message and send. I just don't seem to be able to reply to a message.

How to see if Option 43 is working for the AP

I have configured my dhcp server to provide the WLC IP address to the APs over the option 43, but the AP is not joining to the controller.
I just wanted to check in the AP to see if it's looking for the right controller IP to be sure it was able to get it correclty from DHCP.
I tried to find some console line command to do that but i couldn't find.
the "show lwapp ip..." shows only the manyally configured informations, I would like some command that would say "I'm looking for this controller" is there anyone?

How do I reply to an email from the address it was sent to?

I've found previous questions asking this, but they are old and this seems to be a new problem - it started when I upgraded to 31.3.0 yesterday. I have several email addresses, so say "me@work" and "me@home". Mail to all addresses end up in the same inbox (I only have one inbox that I use, there's another right down at the bottom of the folders list in "Local Folder" but I don't know what this is and there's never been mail in it).
In any case, until yesterday if I received an email to "me@work" and I hit the reply button the reply was from "me@work", and ditto with home. Now if I hit reply to "me@work" the reply is set from "me@ home". Why, and how do I go back to they way it was? If this isn't possible, can I go back to yesterday's Thunderbird? I am never going to remember to check each time and am bound to end up replying from the wrong address.

Thanks, but I know how to do that. It's not practical when the email being replied to is a chain of emails that may run for hundreds of lines. And if the snip I do want to quote is somewhere in the middle, I would have to perform two select/deletes.
If there was a way to "select all" and then delete the selection, that would help. But that basic capability does not seem to exist.

How do I get buttons to show at the end of a menu

I have a menu that should be played every time (contains disclaimers, etc) and then there should be a choice of which track to play. How do I either get buttons that ONLY show up at the end--or have the menu automatically go to a next item which only contains a background and the buttons. I thought I had done this a long time ago but cannot remember what I did.

The buttons kept showing throughout the entire menu, no matter what I tried. I ended up doing a wierd setup, where I had the menu jump to a submenu at the end. The submenu then contained the buttons. Also, the tracks will jump back to that same submenu at their ends. Not as clean as I would like it, but it seems to work. I had tried doing a SetLoopPoint chapter marker in FCP, but the DVDSP menu just plain ended at the loop point and would not go into a looping setup.
If anyone has any other ideas, I would love to hear them - I am not pleased with this setup.

How do I produce buttons that appear at the end of a motion background? Please Help!!!

I just began working with my new production premuim CS3 suite and the current project that I am working on calls for buttons that appear right the end of the motion background. I have tryed everywhich way I can think of to import and export buttons that I thought I created in after effects. The video background works but when it get to the last frame of the video the buttons do not work. Please someone who has a bit more experience working with encore and after effects help.
