How is the Basic Coverage amount calculated in IT0168 for Insurance plans?

I am in the process of configuring benefit plans for IT0168 -GB can anyone of you help me with the below?
How is the basic coverage amount caluclated - can you please advise configuration for the same?

1. Configure the Plan Type for the Insurance Plan.
2. Configure the Insurance Plan
3. Coverage Grouping ( if needed ) - Different coverage based on Employee IT0001 information / IT171 Grouping.
4. Configure the Coverage Variant - If coverage varies by ( Parameter grouping ) Gender, Age, Smoker, Length of Service,
5. Configure the Coverage where one specify the actual cost per unit of coverage ( example 0.25 cents per $ 1000 coverage ).
Path for above items...
Personnel Mgmt ---> Benefits ---> Plans -
> Insurance Plans....

The basic coverage amount should be the employees annual salary.
Can someone tell me, where I can configure this?
I found a way to maintain a flat amount in view V_74FC_B, but I need the annual salary as basic coverage amount.

Within this view, instead of keying in amount in 'Coverage Amount' (in 'Base Amount' window), you can configure 'Salary Factor' to 1.0, 'Rounding Rule' to either up or down.

Benefits Configuration - Basic Coverage Amount Capping

I am mostly familiar with the Benefits Configuration and currently have an issue with capping the Basic Coverage Amount.
I have capped the Insurance Coverage amount in the field - V_74FC_B-MAXAM and this works correctly however I am struggling to cap the Basic Coverage Amount - does anyone know what I could try to achieve this?

Hi,
I am not sure if I got your query right. You wish to configure two limits (basic coverage amount and insurance coverage amount) in a single plan?. What you have configured in V_74FC_B-MAXAM, is the maximum allowed coverage in this insurance plan (It refers only to the base coverage for this plan. It does not refer to the additional coverage units).
You would require separate plans if you wish to cap at different limits on the coverage amount.

Is your formula attached to basic salary element or some other element? You need to make sure that basic salary element has some value and is processed before this formula is called. Are you able to see value for basic salary element after payroll run?

How the Tax amount calculated in AR for this scenario (11i)

I have some doubts with the Tax amount in the AR Trx. Please look into below scenario.
Step1: Create SO and AR Trx
In OM side:
1. I created a SO 001 and there is a item A only. The item's Unit Selling Price is *100$*, Quantity is *1*. Then the SO flown to AR.
In AR side:
1. AR Trx 001 is created for the SO and Tax rate is 17%. Hence the AR Trx Total Amount = Line Amount + Tax Amount = 100 + (100 0.17) = 117*.
Step2: The item has been return from customer.
In OM Side:
2. I added the same item with the Unit Selling Price *200$* and Quantity -1. Then the new SO line flown to AR.
In AR side:
2. Credit Memo is create for the return line of SO.
My doubt is:
What's the tax amount for the Credit Memo? It is 200 * 0.17 or the original trx tax amount (100 * 0.17)?

The tax calculated on the Credit memo is always based on the Credit memo amount. So it will be on $200.
However there are few things you need to consider here. If you are creating a RMA in OM and if overapplication is not enabled for the AR Transaction type, the RMA will fail during Autoinvoice since you cannot credit more than the Invoice amount.
One thing I am not sure though is whether you can actually create a RMA with a price different than that of the Original Order.

The Basic Finish date is a Day earlier than Planned date

Dear Experts,
I am getting a strange behaviour about Maintenance order Basic Finish Date when generated from Maintenance Plan. I have Customizing settings (TCode : OPU7) Adjust: "Adjust Basic dates, adjust dep reqmts to order start date" and scheduling type : Backwards in Time. For this setting Order Basic Finish Date is a day earlier than Planned date , but when Schduling type is Backwards instead of Backwards in Time, Basic Finish date is same as Planned date.
Example: The start of cycle of a monthly plan is 14-Nov-2010, 1st Planned date is 14-Dec-2010. When Scheduling type is " Backwards in time" , the order generated is having Basic Finish Date as 13-Dec-2010 .And when Scheduling type is "Backwards" , Basic finish date is 14-Dec-2010.

Please check the primilinairy buffer in your strategy package. This field have an effect on your order start date.
But I agree on Pete, you should use a forward planning.

1) Accumulation of logs created during demand planning jobs will have an impact on performance
and affect livecache and hence to be cleared periodically
2) Livecache consistency check to be performance at planned intervals
which will reduce livecache issues
3) Through om13 transaction, you can analyse the livecache and LCA objects
and act accordingly
4) You can also carry out /SAPAPO/PSTRUCONS - Consistency Check for Planning Object
Structure and /SAPAPO/TSCONS - Consistency Check for Time Series Network related to
demand planning to avoid livecache issues later

The installation CD for your CLIE is no longer available for sale. Sony has stopped all development and manufacturing of new CLIE products back in May 2004.
As the Parts and Accessories sells out of stock on CLIE accessory items, they are not being replaced. At this time there is no plan to re-introduce the CLIE Handheld or accessories for sale.

Does any one know how the "Top Downloads" on the iTunes U site is determined? The "Top Downloads" list has some correspondence with our weekly iTunes U report (I'm looking at the "Tracks" sheet in the report), but they're not nearly identical.

I don't know how "Top Downloads" is calculated exactly, so this is just a guess…
iTunes U usage data is held for the last sixty days. This corresponds to 8 weeks and 4 days. The weekly usage stats spreadsheets, on the other hand, go back just 4 weeks. In other words, if you request it, Apple can tell you what was going on with your site 60 days ago…even though the spreadsheet you get "this week" will only show activity for the past month. The admin guide also hints that "Top Downloads" is re-calculated one or more times each day, likely using the past 60 days' data.

How does the Centre of mass calculation within the Vision particle analysis function work?

I have been using the particle analysis function to establish the centre of mass of some particles. However on analysis some of the stated CofG's are clearly wrong. Does anybody know why this could be or how you can access the code that performs the calcution to check it?

I don't think you can access the code that performs the calculation,
because that is NI's DLL, unless they let you see the source C/C++
code. But I know one algorithm to get the mass center is using the
moments calculation,
m(p,q)=double integral over x^py^qf(x,y)dxdy, and the mass center is:
Xc=m(1,0)/m(0,0), Yc=m(0,1)/m(0,0)
As a matter fact, you can see m(0,0) is actually the area
size of the
particle.

How to Calculate Basic Salary by Calculating 2 Wage Type

Hi SAP Gurus
I want to calculate basic pay = norm salary * RSP %.
RSP% is just a wage type for an employee.
If we configure RSP % as a wage type and Norm salaray as a wage type, is it possible to set-up basic-pay = Norm salary * RSP %, Both these values will be entered in Infotype 0008. (RSP% is different for each employee. It will be entered in IT0008 directly).
The SUMME and PRZNT modules use percentage stored in the summe and prznt table and not the number entered in wage type in 0008. Is it possible to use UNITS Module for that, IF yes then How let me know pls.

The other way coming to mymind is - configure annual wage type or total salary wage type - then you can define the % of basic and other WT you want to include in IT0008.

How in the heck do I find a subforum for the Rezound?

Why are so many of the other phones listed but not the Rezound? And the only place where I CAN get access to the Rezound subforum is on my Rezound where the ****** password doesn't work? I don't understand how Verizon can't do better at this. I've had sign-in issues forever here. Am I the only one?
At any rate, any other Rezounders suddenly having issues with 4G and WiFi hotspot? 4G goes in and out frequently (without going to 3G) and WiFi lasts for 4 minutes and then quits. Also, will ICS fix this? If so, when the heck are we getting it?

In answer to your signal question, yes, it will get better with ICS , though it still may not be perfect for everybody. As for when we're getting it... my best guess is right after the RAZR line.
