How is the integration with ECC in SRM 7.0??

Hi,
Working with SRM 5.0 or 5.5  the use of XI for integration with ECC is not mandatory because when we send any document from ECC to SRM like requisitions (to convert them in shopping cards) or when we send any document from SRM to ECC like shopping cards, PO´s, contracts,  we only use the RFC´s and the abap programs.
Is the same behavior with SRM 7.0?????
Could the integration from SRM 7 with ECC 6 work with RFC´S without XI or for this vertions is XI mandatory?????
Thanks

SRM70 is closely integrated with XI for transferring docs between ECC and SRM.  SAP introduces eSOA tech nology with SRM70 and hence all documents like PR from ECC to SRM, Central Contract from SRM to ECC, PO creation (Classic), etc uses this techn ology.
Thanks,
Jagadish

  • CRM 3.0 integration with ECC 6.0

Hi all, I wanted to confirm if CRM 3.0 can be integrated with ECC 6.0
If yes, then which support pack, etc. will be applicable and what all issues could be encountered in integration?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Animesh,
    just to be clear.
the CRM and the backend ECC60 are communicating via  Plug -ins
you can read more information here
    http://service.sap.com/r3-plug-in
    http://service.sap.com/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01100035870000601131&
The other  SP level of the systems (BASIS etc.) are independent.
Once you could conect the systems at basis level. You can begin your work at
    Application level.
Whether you can have problems here please ask the CRM Gurus in a separate therad in other forum.
I Hope I have answered all of your questions.

    How is the integration Realized...
Is PHP/Java Integration Bridge certified to run with Web AS.

    Hello Ram,
AFAIK the PHP Extention SAPRFC is currently not certified by SAP. Hope that this will change in future. The Java Connector comes directly from SAP and is supported.

  • How does the integration between CRM and SD occur

How does the integration between CRM and SD occur?  Is only via ALE and are there config steps in CRM to ensure the correct data mapping between CRM and SD?
So, if I create an order or quote in CRM how is it then created in SD?  Or do they share the same data store.
    thanks

    Hi John,
Here is good documentation regarding Data Exchange for Sales Transactions: the CRM Enterprise and the ERP System are two different repositories, If you create the Sales Order in CRM then they will be replicated into SD (using CRM Middleware, BDoc's)

  • Extended Classic Scenario  - how does the integration work ?

    Hi,
Apologies for asking a basic question, but we are looking at requirements for integrating SRM with R/3 using the extended classic scenario and I need to understand how the integration actually works ?  How is the data transferred between the 2 systems ?  Does it use BADI's, idocs etc ?
    Many thanks,
    fiona

    Hi Olaf,
I just wanted to give some precision on what you said (in the thread How to "see" PO in EBP ? also)
The Extended classic scenario only refers to the local PO creation replicated in R/3.
In this scenario, in the R/3 PO only the data not managed/sent from the SRM are available for modification (which depends on the SRM version you use)
The "PR transfer from R/3" is called "Plan driven procurement", and in this scenario only RFC is used, the qRFC are only used for BDocs of the CRM Middleware.
    Regards.

  • Health Management application. How can the integration be possible?

    Hello everyone,
My name is Ayorinde Adunse and I am an upcoming Java Developer based in Lagos,Nigeria.I developed interest in Java about a couple of years ago and made it a natural choice for developing applications.
Of recent Ive been trying to develop an application that manages health insurance and premiums calculations here in Nigeria. At present it is an idea though, because existing technologies are already in place for certain orgainisations although there could be improvement.
What I am trying to do is to develop a client application that can connect to a database on a host system and manage patients health records(and also their health history in the event of subsequent hospital visits),and I know that would not be a problem, since the JDBC API can handle that. But I know that eventually there would be problem as different hospitals that would eventually be using the application around the country would have their data on their systems and this information would need to be put up on an online database server managed by admin from Health management organisations in the country(who would be able to view statistical data on hospitals in each local government and state around the federation and have a right to notify erring hospitals of improper conduct or financial irregularities), as well as funding organisations and ultimately the insurance companies who would be responsible for paying the insurance premiums on claims made by a specific hospital(s)( an admin representative would also be able to view the online database containing information on each hospital to facilitate payments). This would enable a financial and statistical report be sent to each hospital on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.
I am specifically interested in how the integration of this data is to be done especially since the internet is not fully established in Nigeria and there are some remote villages that would not have internet connection and so the desktop application would have to be used(otherwise this would have been a web application with hospital management having login details and a management system for each hospital). The analysis of the data would involve population of women and children registered for the proposed insurance scheme in each local government, and ultimately,in each state of the federation,as well as the financial reports and calculation of claims for each registered hospital under a health management organisation(s).
Please,I need your help,on suggesstions on the relevant architecture,I know you guys out there are really good and I would need suggesstions.I would really be grateful as I am so stuck. This is my first major enterprise application.I would really be grateful.
    Thanks,
    Ayo Adunse.

    Hi Ayo,
Interesting concept, you are proposing to build a distributed application so you'll need a VPN(Virtual Private Network) .In Nigeria the only way you can establish a VPN is via the internet. So internet connectivity is compulsory for any client(browser, swing or J2ME).Then again, you could make it a web application with the appropriate security measures in place this will do just fine.Good luck pal.

  • Steps: SNC (Supplier Network Collaboration) Integration with ECC through XI

    Hi,
Has anyone worked on the SNC(Supplier Network Collaboration) integration with SAP ECC via SAP XI.
Could you pls share any documentation related to this. And also could anybody tell me the setup required to go ahead with the integration.
    Thanks,
    S

    Hi Xavier,
SNC integration with XI has predefined mappings. So ask your basis guys to download the XI content for SNC using with PI. Once they deployed you will have a builtin predefined content in XI. Within the predefined content mostly they all are xsl mappings.
If your requirement is with the standard idocs then you can use them directly. Else if their is customization they you may need to change the mappings according to your requirements.

  • Sourcing integration with ECC using PI (percentage rebate scenario)

    Hi Experts,
    Sourcing - OP 7
ECC - configurations done for rebate conditions as mentioned in standard configuratin guide
    PI - SP02 patch 0
We are publishing percentage rebates in Master agreement from sourcing to ECC to create Online Agreement using standard predelivered content for PI from SAP, however ECC returns error in RFC response mentioning
No currency code found for ISO code P1 in field HEADER_CONDITION/CURRENCY_ISO
I checked PI content & I see for % rebates, field HEADER_CONDITION/CURRENCY_ISO is always populated in PI with P1.
What are the next steps to be done in ECC or in PI to overcome the mentioned error.
Any pointers will be appreciated, Thanks.

    Hello Jeet,
I would suggest to check first that in both your SAP ERP and SAP Sourcing an ISO Code P1 for percentage exists. Further I would check if a rebate with an absolute amount works fine (also create multiple amounts and check if a scale is created in ERP, just to ensure that it works in general). E.g. check if the price condition/condition type exists and is configured correctly in ERP.
If that all looks good you might want to check the ERP transaction BBP_ES_ANALYZE. I recently created a SDN blog about some tips and tricks, it also explains this transaction, please see ERP integration with SAP Sourcing – tips and tricks Maybe the error message(s) in this transaction will help you to better understand what is going on.
    Hopes that will help you

  • C4C integration with ECC 5.0

    Guru,
My company is looking for implementing cloud for customer, but our backend system is running on ECC 5.0.
SAP had strongly recommended us to upgrade our ECC before implementing C4C project.
Through some reading, it seems that integration prerequisite is ECC has to be version 5.0
Or there is any workaround to integrate (standard integration) C4C to ECC 5.0 through HCI? Like by applying or enhancing standard iflow that released for ECC 6.0?
    Thanks.
    Cheers,
    Jim

Not sure where you have read that ECC 5.0 would be supported. The official SAP position is summarised in the table below. You can clearly see that some functionalities even depends on what EHP level you are at with ECC 6.0.
SAP PI and HCI leverage the same iFlow content.

  • CRM2007 integration with ECC 5.0

    Hi All,
Will appreciate if someone can send a document or link that can help me with ECC5.0 and CRM 2007
    Regards,
    Suren

this is copied from the installation guide
    Prepare an OLTP Backend System:
n SAP R/3 or R/3 Enterprise systems as well as ECC 5.0
systems require the R/3 Plug-In 2004.1 with at least
    SP10.
    See SAP Note 704564 (R/3 plug-in:PI 2004.1
installation/delta upgrade) and SAP Service Marketplace at
    http://service.sap.com/r3-plug-in
n As of SAP ECC 6.0, the R/3 Plug-In is no longer
required. New and extended interfaces for integrating
SAP ECC 6.0 are directly contained in SAP ECC 6.0.
    [SAP ERP 6.0 <Technology> on <Operating System>: Database
then it should be done as with any OLTP system.
I've done a connection to a R/3 Enterprise 4.7 system and that worked fine.
Follow the Best Practices documenation and you will be fine!
