How is the IP Profile set please?

HI,
Could someone please confirm how the IP Profile I see when I run the BT Speedtester is set?
Is it changed automatically, depending on my actual download spped achieved, or is it (or can it be) set manually by a BT Engineer?
Another quick question on the Assured Rate Test; my Download Speed shown here used to be about twice as fast as the stated Max Achievable Speed (which was the same as my Assured Rate IP Profile) is this normal ?
Any replies appreciated!

I don't think your assured rate is anything to worry about. Provided it is close of over the profile thats fine. The decline in your profile is a worry. If you have been resetting your hub to try to make things better that would have the ironic effect of reducing your profile.
I would suggest going to the BB in Home board and pose the question there. In your post include the cut and pasted output of speedtester and your Hub stats. To get those, use your browser to go to http://192.168.1.254/ find your ADSL stats within there. How you get them varies on the type of hub you have, but may involve settings, advanced, ADSL and Details. It should show Attenuation and Noise. Have a rummage. You will be asked for your hub password to do this. There are helpful boffins in that board who may not monitor this one who will help you decide if you have a problem or not.

  • How does the Default profile works?

    we are using MSCS cluster.
    On last week, I found SAPGLOBALHOST and SAPDBHOST are pointed to wrong server in default.pfl in
    <CLUSTER>\SAPMNT\PRD\SYS\profile. I changed both parameter to currently server name and restart service. Therefore, we lost zcsa/installed_languages parameter in PRD_DVEBMGS01_<CI_SERVER> file. I have to add this parameter again in RZ10.
    My question is:
    Why SAP can start up correctly when the SAPGLOBALHOST and SAPDBHOST were wrong ? I don't think anybody changed this parameter without notice.
    Where is the old zcsa/installed_languages parameter stored? I searched all servers, I couldn't find this parameter.
    Thank you

    Check SAPGLOBALHOST and SAPDBHOST parameters in Instance profile. If the values in the instance profile is correct it will override the default profile values. Also check the environmental variables like DB_HOST etc.
    When you change the value of zcsa/installed_languages didn't save it as a new version?If you save as a new version then go to profile directory and check DEFAULT.PFL.<n>

  • How is the forecast profile tied to the article master?

    Hello-
    I understand how to create a forecast profile, but I assume there is some way to assign that profile to articles or material groups, and I cannot figure that out.  If it is assigned, it will show on the article master in the right field, but it cannot be changed or maintained in the article master directly.  So, there must be another method to link/assign these outside of the article master.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks-
    Brady

    Hello-
    Thank you for the answer, I found it - I have a Retail system, so it is structured a bit differently, but the tab is ultimately there.
    Thanks again-

  • How is the getReturnParam Map set in the dialog framework?

    Hi All,
    I'm trying to pass around some values from my main window, to a dialog window, and then use those values in a call to a business method when the user presses "Approve" on the dialog. I want to call the business method in the returnListener method, but I can't find any information on how to manipulate the Map that is returned by:
    event.getReturnParameters();
    Does somebody have an example of setting and using this Map?
    Thanks,
    Matt

    I found a solution for this problem. Here is the new code for the launchListener:
      public void approveMessageForSend(ActionEvent e) {
        final AdfFacesContext adfi = AdfFacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
        adfi.returnFromDialog(new String("approvedToSend"), adfi.getProcessScope());
        adfi.getProcessScope().clear();
        logger.info("RETURN FROM approveMessageForSend");
      }note the second argument in returnFromDialog. I am accessing the process scope, which returns a Map of all the values I placed in processScope using the launchListener.
    Thus I am able to access that map in the returnListener with the following code:
      public void sendApprovedMessage(ReturnEvent event)
        Map m = event.getReturnParameters();
        ... rest of method ...Thanks for your help. I wouldn't have thought of using the returnFromDialog method for this.

  • Hi I have two questions. I am using NAS 4.1 and was wondering is it possible to set a different session timeout for different users? How is the session timeout set? Thanks, YS

    <i>I am using NAS 4.1 and was wondering is it possible to set a different session timeout for different users?</i>
    Um, there is no such thing as NAS4.1.
    I'm assuming that you mean NAS4.0 (maybe NAS4.0sp1?). If so, then the session timeouts are specified in the session section of the NTV configuration files.
    AFAIK, you can specify session timeouts on a per user basis.

  • Videora must be in the SP profile setting!!!!

    As I'm browsing the board I see that people keep getting frustrated with the best piece of Windows based iPod software out there. Here's the solution:
    The "One Click Profile" under the settings must be as follows:
    SP/320x240/768Kbps Stereo/128Kbps
    For the last time -- DON'T ENCODE IN THE h.264 codec!

    I also did the correct settings, and had Videora display 100% complete about 1/3 of the way through encoding the file. It continued to "process" until it was done - but once I played it the entire movie stops about 1/3 of the way in (approx 20 minutes). Yes, I could get it successfully to my IPod - that doesn't help if it won't encode the whole file.
    Does anyone know if there is a size limit or anything that 'freaks' Videora?

  • How export the share personnal setting to another fcpx mac

    Hi,
    I'm changing my mac and I didn't find a way to export my personnal settings (templates) I've created with the "share" pref like a special mp4 setting.
    They are not in the preferences, not in app support (both), not in the event/export preset...
    Does someone have found them ?
    cheers
    seb

    I'm going to assume it is stored inside of the app itself.  I'd copy the actual application over to the new Mac and give that a shot.

  • Anonymous Process Launch. how is the WF_CASE_OWNER variable set?

    Hellos.
    I am trying the execution of a Workflow initiated by the user/anonProcessLaunch.jsp
    I have edited my user/login.jsp to include the lines:-
    <p class='subtitle'>If you are a external Employee or Customer and you want an SM7 Account Click <A HREF="<%=p.encodeRedirectURL(user/anonProcessLaunch.jsp?id=SM7
    AnonUserAccountRequest")%>">here</A>.</p>
    Everything works lovely, just that I see "Temp:UserContractor" as the WF_CASE_OWNER and I wonder where I can set a more sensible default for WF_CASE_OWNER in these anon process launches.

    Ok..
    I was experimenting with the user/anonProcessLaunch.jsp file.
    There seems to be some interplay with the user/login.jsp and anonymous launch and anonlogin.jsp IDM seems to want to make you give a 'user id'
    But I dont want that to happen. I got the idea of hacking user/anonProcessLaunch.jsp and set the ANON_USER_ATTRIBUTE attribute to a dummy value. e.g. UserContractor
    but when the WF is actually launched I see the WF_CASE_OWNER having the Temp: prefix.
    In other words I tried to set my WF_CASE_OWNER in anonProcessLaunch.jsp but IDM prefixes it with Temp: somehow, from somewhere.
    The upshot is, that any WF kicked off by this (hacked) anonProcessLaunch.jsp will always get the same 'default' WF_CASE_OWNER. I can live with this.
    It would be interesting to know what other Attributes I can set on my session object. com.waveset.session.Session is included in the .jsp but I cant seem to find this in the IDM Javadocs.

  • How does the "je.maxMemoryPercent" setting relate to shared cache?

    Assume there are two environments which are set to use 50% and 20% of memory. Each environment is configured for shared caching. Wouldn't these settings contradict?
    Thanks,

    Hi,
    From the javadoc
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/berkeley-db/je/java/com/sleepycat/je/EnvironmentMutableConfig.html#setCachePercent(int)
    we have:
    If setSharedCache(true) is called, setCacheSize and setCachePercent specify the total size of the shared cache, and changing these parameters will change the size of the shared cache.
    So the last call to change the cache size -- for any environment sharing the cache -- will be the one to take effect for the shared cache.

  • How does the profile downloader work?

    I tried downloading a profile. It says "installed" but the newly downloaded profile does not seem to be available to photoshop.
    Where and how are the downloaded profiles installed?
    I can't seem to find any documentation ...
    TNX
    rick

    Found it! The profile downloader downloads to the <System Hard Drive>:Users:<User>:Library:Application Support:Adobe:CameraRaw:LensProfiles:1.0 folder, whereas Lightroom 3/Camera Raw is looking in the computer's <System Hard Drive>:Library:Application Support:Adobe:CameraRaw:LensProfiles:1.0 folder
    Just copy from 1 folder to the other, restart whichever program you're trying to access the profile in, and you're good to go!

  • IP profile set to 0.25mbps

    I live nine months of the year in the USA. When I left the UK last September my Broadband was working fine. I don't know what the speed was, but it was good enough for me to work.  When I returned  this week my broadband speed was terrible. It was little better than dialup.
    I then experienced BT Broadband help for the first time. They identified that the problem was at the exchange. I was told that the problem would be fixed, but would take up to 72 hours. I was stunned. Tell an American  he has to wait 72 hours and see how long you stay in business. During this 72 hour wait I have educated myself on Broadband issues, thanks to this forum.
    I have learned  the IP profile sets my speed. When I left the UK, I turned off the power to everything, unplugged phones, etc.
    I have a theory that because BT could not communicate with my Hub they dropped my IP profile number. I don't know if this is done automatically. If it is, I expect it to be reset automatically and not wait 72 hours. If manual, my call to BT should have initiated an Engineer to hit a reset button and again not have to wait 72 hours.
    I welcome comments on my theory

    Trying to validate my new app, XCode tells me that I am not registered as an Apple developer. Why? I am registered since a month ago. Xcode is using that account for the app. Is it something to do with the provisioning profile? Please tell me what information XCode is using to decide that I am not registered.
    I click the Validate button for the Archive and it says it's fetching a list of teams from the portal. Then immediately it tells me that I am not registered as an Apple Developer. There is probably a simple explanation for this, but it's my first attempt a developing an App.

    paid account yes
    The app is in iTunes Connect and everything is ready for the app store. I just need to upload the build, but I can only do it via XCode. I also do other work on this Mac, in other accounts, so maybe I have a bad provisioning profile or something. It would help if I knew what exactly it is telling me with this untrue message.

    Every single time I power up photoshop CC get an error. says " the monitor profile "acer S201HL" appears to be defective. Please rerun your monitor calibration software. How do I fix this?

    Your factory-supplied monitor profile, associated with your monitor by the operating system, is bad.  It's more common than you'd think.
    To avert the error:
    Open the Color Management panel of your Windows operating system.  In the Devices tab, if it is not already listed [ Add... ] the sRGB IEC61966-2.1 profile and [ Set as default Profile ].
    After doing the above, log out of Windows and back in again, just to ensure everything's updated.
    Note that the above assumes your monitor is more or less displaying color in the sRGB color space (sRGB is short for sRGB IEC61966-2.1).  For many monitors this isn't a terribly wrong assumption.
    If you want to ensure you have the most accurate color, consider buying a calibration and profiling device, which (with its associated software) can set your calibration and generate custom color profiles by doing actual measurements from your monitor.  You'll want to take some time to get your mind around how color-management works, and that is not a trivial task.  It's certainly well beyond what can be taught in a forum post by post.
    Good luck.
