How is the SNMP support for multiple instances

Hi,
I have two instances of WebLogic Server 5.1 running on Solaris 5.8 node.
How can get the details thru SNMP for both instances. I was able to
start only one instace of SNMP agent at any time. Is there any solution

You can provide URLs of both servers to one SNMP agent, via the -serverURLs
option.

There should not be a significant negative performance impact. The biggest
issue will probably the amount of memory the 10 instances will use, not any
CPU impact. On larger SMP systems, it is not uncommon to run several
instances of WLS in a cluster (perhaps one for every 2 - 4 CPU's) to
improve performance.

How to create one node for multiple instances of hardware

I want a single minor device node to act as the interface to all instances of my hardware, in this case a co-processor chip on the PCI bus. For the number of chips found at boot time, I want requests to be dispatched, one per chip, in a round-robin. Is this possible?
I suppose one approach to solving the problem could be to set a static flag in the xxattach function (accessible to xxattach only). In xxattach the flag is set after creating the first and only node and a list of the chips is built on subsequent calls to xxattach. Xxioctl calls would have the same minor number, which could be ignored, and the command dispatched to the next chip in the list. A single node solution is preferable to a driver modification.

I think you're going about this backwards.
Make the driver be a "normal" driver, with one instance per chip.
Then make a user-space demon that round-robins requests between available hardware.
Or have a second pseudo-driver handle arbitration.
Either way, dont try to shoe-horn the driver framework from another OS, onto solaris. That's what I presume you meant by "A single node solution is preferable to a driver modification."

How could the customer support for Adobe LR be any less adequate - impossible to get person on phone, no response to chat. Unbelievably shoddy and customer-hostile.

I can't download my ordered LR because my order is still being "processed". There are a thousand places to purchase things on the web where one's order is essentially processed at the time it is entered. I've never had something like this wait for "processing" happen before, anywhere. Could something be wrong? Is a third party doing something to me?

Support for multiple libraries...?

Hi, I have a question as how is the best way to manage y music libraries given my usage scenario.
First let me set the context of what I have. I have over 35GB of ripped music, that resides in an external drive. Currently this music is available through my iTunes application, but it is NOT part of my lybrary (meaning I imported but did NOT copy it into the library). I do NOT want to have 35GB of music in my notebook's HD.
My iTunes library is in my local HD (music folder). This is a small file that basically has the 'podcasts' and the 'artwork'.
What do I want? I would love to keep all my music and videos on the external drive, and have my podcasts in my local HD. This way when I am on the road, I can update the podcasts, without having to carry with me all my music.
This all works fine the way I have it now, except that every time I rip a new CD or buy music from the iTunes Store, they go to my local HD and not my external drive.
Any ideas on how to work this out? I would love support for multiple libraries, but I don't thnks it's possible as far as I looked into it.

Set the 'iTunes Music folder location' (Preferences>Advanced>General) to the music folder on your external.
The next time you rip a CD or purchase music, it will be stored there.
Note: the 'iTunes Music folder location' is not the folder where your music is, but the location where iTunes stores imported music (and added music when 'Copy files to.....' is checked)
If you ran iTunes once with your external drive not attached/mounted, this location is reset to the internal drive.
iTunes 7 has support for multiple libraries. Press and hold the Option-key on launching iTunes until a window pops up which asks you to choose a library or create a new one.
Libra and iTunes Library Manager both work with iTunes 7 and older versions. They also save the preferences for every library you created.

Can I run the currency translation for multiple years at the same time?

Dear Friends,
I set up currency translation on our BPC NW 7.0 system and it is working fine ONLY if I run it for any one year at a time. But if I select multiple years in the data package (FX Restatment) selection it only calculates for the first year in that selection.
say if I run the data package for years: 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, it only performs currency translation for the year 2009.
Can I run the currency translation for multiple years at the same time ?
Note: The year is determined from the YEAR property of the "Time" dimension

You can run currency translation for multiple years.
I think the problem it is actually related to how you are sending the parameter to currency translation script.
Just review the script logic log and you will see with what parameters was called currency translation FXTrans.
My expectation is that actually the script is called just with first year and that's the problem.
Log of script logic you can find it into:
C:\BPC|DATA\Webfolder\YourAppset\YourApplication\Private Publications\Users used to run logic\Temp

Feature request: Support for Multiple Libraries (like in iMovie)

From the threads, I can tell this topic was raised by many for many years. I would like to propose support for multiple iPhoto libraries -- or more specifically, the ability to distribute media across different storage devices.
There is a huge gap between my spacially limited MBP 250 GB SSD and my external 4 TB HDD. I am aware that I can juggle two separate libraries in iPhoto but it's just not practical and the moving of media between the libraries is not a simple drag and drop effort but involves exporting and importing with me having to clean up on one side or the other.
iMovie has had support for several libraries for a long time presumably because the sheer size of media in the video realm gave the iMovie team little choice.
I can't be the only one having this itch, right?

Again, you need to clarify your terms
Aperture can move master photos files around. With Aperture you can write additional metadata to the original file.
You don't need multiple libraries to thematically arrange photos, though. A simple keywordign system will do that.
So in Aperture I don't have to restart into different libraries?
You can have all your photos in a sinble library with the master files stored off-disk easily. You can relocate them from disk to disk too. However, if you;re doing presentations that is probably not necessary if you generate good quality previews. I'd ask about these things on the Aperture forum for more.

Changing the display profile for multiple users at once.

Is it possible to change the display profile for multiple users at once? We would like ot be able ot add tabs and channels globally, but right now we can anly do it for once user at a time. Also, is it possible to have certain generic display profiles that all users use? like an admin profile and a tech support profile and a normal suer profile? Any help is appreciated...

Yes this possible using the dpadmin batch command.
Please check the dpadmin documentation for the batch command.
For generic display profile what you can do is create users and assign the user particular roles. The display you would be creating would be for the roles. The users belonging to that role would inherit that display profile.

How to edit "license information for multiple logon" screen

hey gurus
i need to know how to edit or modify the 'license information for multiple logon" screen. this screen usually pops up when a user tries for a multiple logon to sap. We have activated the parameter 'login/disable_multi_gui_login' but we would like to modify the screen in such a way that only one radio button which says 'terminate this logon' should exist. we would prefer to remove the option of 'continue with this option and end any other logon'. Now i searched but i could not find anything to implement this so i am here and i need your advice and suggestions.
