How is the SSD in the U430 used?

I bought the U430 a month ago and have searched all over the internet but didn't retrieve any information about how the SSD is used. There is a 25GB SSD and there is nothing on it except some lenovo drivers. Actually I expected the OS (Win 8) to be on that drive, can I make an Image of the the OS and move it to the SSD or can I only use it as intended as cache? But for using it as a cache I'd need a special software right? I read that there is a software called ExpressCache on some Lenovo devices that moves some often used files to the SSD, do I need to install it?
I'm aware of the fact that there isn't a 'real' SSD in the Laptop but a hybrid HDD.

Hey. I have u430 touch ultrabook too. And I was also unsuccesfully looking for answer how our hybrid drive Seagate ST500LX005-1CW162 is working... anyway what I discovered is that probably that 25 GB is not SSD, just the different partition of normal HDD. If you open disk managment you can see that both big 423 GB and 25 GB disks are NTFS types. Also you can see that there is one partition with 14,44 GB and I suppose that this is that SSD (when you bought u430 there was specs like 500+16 GB right ? ). Anyway that 14,44 GB is 100% free... i was expecting that software will be saving there routes to most often used applications, some things for faster boot time of system... so it will be used like that "cache" memory.
Program express cache is for systems with mSATA SSDs. It is something different that our hybrid SSHD which I recently discovered.
And I started to detect how our SSD is working because since I updated on win 8.1 my boot time is significantly slower than it was on win 8. I supposed that it could be because win 8.1 is not working with that SSD... still don´t know what is the problem

It cleans rather well for me but, i never actually touch the screen with my hands/fingers. Just get a microfiber cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner like method window cleaner from target:)

How is the MachineKey used in FBA

I understand how to configure FBA and set machines keys across web apps / servers / farms etc but I made a mistake and can't explain why it lets me login.
I have a SP2010 Extranet farm and a SP2013 Extranet farm that both use FBA. The 2010 farm was build (inc FBA) several years ago, the 2013 farm last year. I initially configured the 2013 farm to have a new membership db. At this point i sync'd the machine
keys for all Web apps, STS, CA. I then decided to use the existing 2010 db so I changed the connection string and everyone who could login to 2010 could login to 2013 (once the site was migrated across). Note the machine keys are different on the two farms.
Why can they login? Also if I use 2013 to reset the password the user can no longer login but if I then use 2010 they can once again. This is also the case for creating users, 2013 no, 2010 fine.
I thought the machine key was used during the login process and not just to encrypt the password for storage.
Can anyone explain why users can login and why the 2010 farm is needed for password resers / creating users?

Not sure who would want an XP machine without the installed functional OS at SP3 level. Even that workable scenerio is bothersome given that XP is officially in full non-supported mode. It's limited to Internet Explorer 9. There are no Microsoft Updates. Nada, Zip.... Because it is XP, which is at END of LIFECYCLE, and the fact that you did not mention the model # does present a quandry.(1) XP is 12 years old. How old is that drive? New Old Stock (NOS) EIDE and Sata150 hard drives were very prevalent during the XP years. NOS drives are now more costly than new drives. But new drives do not work with XP readily.2) New design hard drives are Sata600. These rarely perform kindly with XP systems. Even the older Sata300 drives require a complicated install modification and floppy disk patches.3) It's only a mere $27 and shipping for a set of install disks (you never mentioned if you had them, which was the norm for an XP OS). Those disks would exrase the hard drive and re-install the OS. Purchase here. 4) Your will also need to have downloaded SP1 and SP2 and SP3 and burn these separately onto CD's. If your not upto it, just smash up the hard drive, and carry off the computer to a re-cycler.

How does the predator AG3 used the 128 GB ssd and the 2TB hdd together

I am contemplating buying a Predator AG3 from Costco. It comes with 128b ssd and a 2tb Hdd. How does the system use the two in combination? Is the ssd only for booting? Will Windows be on the SSD. Will the system know to go to the HDD for programs not on the SSD? I have no experience in using a system with two different type drives.

Can i close only JFileChooser dialog while doing ESCAPE key operation.

You have a class that extends JDialog and has a JDialog member variable (very confusing), and no main(...) method. How is the class used as a JDialog?

The only way you will be able to track that iPod is if it is turned on and connected to a wifi network by the person that has it.

I am planning to buy a high performance PC to run my Windows and Linux servers as vitrual machines for my testing purposes.
Initially i planned to build my own computer with recommended configurations but considering space constaints and cooling factors i think Mac Pro can be a choice. But need some inputs if Mac pro (Intel Xeon E5, 12 GB RAM) is good for running virtual Machines.

You could even run Windows natively and still run your VM servers.
I have seen reports and such on MacRumors and elsewhere - run Windows natively as well as VMs (can also do testing and run Mavericks in a VM under Mavericks)

Help. My old @us.army.mil email address was terminated by the army. I used that address to register my first apple id account on my iPad. I can't remember my original Apple ID number and if I ask to reset my password, Apple sends the reset link to my old non-working email address. I have a new gmail address and a new Apple ID number associated with that address. How do I get my iPad to use my new gmail address and new apple ID number? Remember, I can't log out of my old account because I can't remember the password. Amd Apple will only reset the password by sending a link to my old, non functioning army email account. ( I hate army webmail for canceling all retired military email accounts). John Marc

How can an email account be created using Java mail on the FLY.

Scenario is such that i am using mail server from MDaemon.com and JavaMail api,and making Email website like yahoo...some what ! but how can a user create his account by just filling the form and when he enters his account be created in Mail server..

Last time I checked MDaemon has its own API for account management. I have never tried to do anything with it but their sales literature says it exists.
Account management will be specific to the platform and mail server software. This is beyond the scope of JavaMail which is for message transport (and management to an extent on IMAP servers), not account management on the server.
The other alternative is to write your own application that modifies the structures used by mdaemon but since it already has an API why bother.
