How is the Upgrade Pack linked to my iPod touch?
How is the software I bought is linked to my iPod, in case I need to restore my iPod and I certainly don’t want to pay again for that functionality! Is it somehow related to my iTunes account? I would also be quite concerned if the activation would be linked to my iPod serial. Very questionable. Maybe someone with more technical knowledge is able to answer this.

So, i want to know how does the shake to shuffle work, i opened the music player and started playing a song but when i shake the ipod, nothing happens, the option of shuffle on the screen is still white and when the song currently playing ends, the next one in alphabetical order starts. The shake to shuffle option in settings is On.
The iPod can only tether via Bluetooth for internet connectivity to an iPhone. It will connect to other phones to tether for internet connectivity if the phones can act like a wifi hotspot.

The built in Apps can't be deleted, but they can be moved to an unused screen. You could create a folder of all unused Apps and move it.

Apple does not repair iPods, but will replace the entire iPod for a flat fee; see the Repair Pricing section here:

There are independent iPod repair services that may be able to replace the screen for less. Do a web search for "ipod repair". Some places also will sell parts and instructions for doing the repair yourself, but the connectors and parts are delicate and it's easy to cause further damage, so attempt this only if you are confident in your skills.

Well first off you shouldn't have had to pay for a download (just an assumption from the word "purchased".
If you are trying to install iOS 5 on your iPod touch, it won't work they arent compatible. I suggest checking what version of software you are trying to install and posting it in this forum so people can have a better understanding. -
