How JRE translates oid number to it's name?

Hello all.
I need to share a string with the issuer of a certificate with other systems.
The issuer has an attribute with "oid.1.2.840.113549.1.9.1" that is translated to "EMAILADDRESS" in IBM's Websphere's JRE , but in other implementations is translated to "E"
Where is hardcoded this translation? Can I programaticaly control this translation?
Best regards,
Rpr

java.security.cert.X509Certificate has two methods, getIssuerX500Principal() and getSubjectX500Principal() that return the issuer and subject as instances of class javax.security.auth.x500.X500Principal. This class has a method getName() that takes a map of OID strings to OID names. You could use customize a map for your needs, .e.g.
Map<String, String> oidMap = new HashMap<String, String>();
oidMap.put("1.2.840.113549.1.9.1", "EMAILADDRESS");
X500Principal subjName = myx509Cert.getSubjectX500Principal();
String subjName = subject.getName("RFC2253", oidMap);

  • How to add Serial Number to the report name?

    HI,
    I'd like to add the option of including the SN to the report name.  A good option will be to automatically set the default base name to the SN.
    I'm open to suggestions. Either a simple solution where I'll always get the SN as the base name, or
    a more complicated solution where I can really make some modifications to the report option dialog page to include that upon user selection.
    Thanks
    Rafi
    TS3.5+CVI8.0
    p.s. an example, if exist, will be highly useful (and appreciated of course)

    That's okay... I can answer here as well...
    Under Configure >> Report Option
    UNSELECT "Store UUT Report in Batch Report File" first, then select "New UUT Report File for Each UUT"
    New UUT Report File for Each UUT—Appends a string containing the current UUT serial number to the base name of the report file. For example, uut_report.html becomes uut_report[SN000001].html. This setting is not available if you select Store UUT Report in Batch Report File.

  • How to get OIDs of indexes for class-map ?

    I have policy-map configured on cisco router with some class-maps inside. I need to draw a graph traffic passing through these classes. To make a graphs I use Cacti  which use SNMP query to draw the graphs (object name cbQosObjectsIndex).
    How to get OIDs of class-map indexes ?
    I tried to do this by following query:
    #snmpwalk -c community_string -v 2c 192.168.0.252 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.166.1.5.1.1.1
    but the answer was:
    iso.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.166.1.5.1.1.1 = No Such Object available on this agent at this OID
    The information i need is contained at the OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.166.1.15.1.1.7:
    # snmpwalk -c community_string -v 2c 192.168.0.252 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.166.1.15.1.1.7
    iso.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.166.1.15.1.1.7.1251.1277 = Gauge32: 0
    iso.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.166.1.15.1.1.7.1251.13363 = Gauge32: 0
    iso.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.166.1.15.1.1.7.1251.13383 = Gauge32: 0
    iso.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.166.1.15.1.1.7.1251.13435 = Gauge32: 734000
    iso.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.166.1.15.1.1.7.1251.13481 = Gauge32: 233000

    Because 192.168.0.252 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.166.1.5.1.1.1 is marked "non-accessible" according to http://tools.cisco.com/Support/SNMP/do/BrowseOID.do?local=en&translate=Translate&objectInput=cbQosObjectsIndex
    You'll need to obtain the indices as explained in this blog post:
    http://pierky.wordpress.com/2009/04/09/cisco-class-based-qos-snmp-mib-and-statistics-monitor-for-nms/
    Joe wrote a very illustrative post on the subject of snmptables: https://supportforums.cisco.com/message/3051004#3051004
    And if your IOS supports it, you would want to configure the following to keep the indices from changing after every reboot or OIR:
    "snmp mib persist cbqos"

  • How to convert inode number to path (for Eudora to Mail conversion)

    I've seen a header line in my Eudora client that has what I believe to be an inode number in it that represents a path:
    X-Attachments: :Server:622049:style.css:
    Server is the volume name and the 622049 appears to be the inode file system path to the folder containing the file. I want to find a programmatic way to do the conversion. For example, if in the Terminal, I issue this:
    sudo find / -inum 622049 -print
    Leopard does find the path:
    /Users/trevor/Documents/Style Sheets
    but also a whole lot of other guff such as:
    find: /dev/fd/4: Not a directory
    find: /net/localhost: Operation timed out
    The reason is that I want to do a really clean move from Eudora to Mail, but I can't any application that works well AND converts outgoing attachment paths for Mail to use. The best application application I could find does not (yet) know how to translate the inode number to a path, so that the resulting messages in Mail have the correct OUTgoing message attachments (it converts incoming attachments just fine). Hence, it's in my interest (and possibly that of all others who want a complete conversion to Mail from Eudora) to do what I can to get the Eudora to Mail process convert BOTH incoming and outgoing attachments (which, to the best of my knowledge and search, no conversion tool can do at the moment).
    Surely there is a direct, programmatic method (presumably the method used by Eudora) to get the path information. I want to send that method to the developer of the best tool I found.
    Anyone know where I can find a reference to how to prgrammatically translate the inode number to the full path, so that the e-mail converter can grab the file quickly?
    Thanks.

    Hi, Christian:
    Thank you for your message!
    i used the type cast, but it seems VISA write can not recognize it, what is the problem?

  • How to check the number of licences for ODI

    Hi,
    I would like to know , how to check the number of licences exists for my current OID.
    ODI Version: 11.1.1

    ODI licensing is similar to Oracle DB licensing. Its licensed by the number of cores in your target database.
    So, count the number of CPUs in your target box. Multiply them by the core factor (x86 vs sparc, etc) and then match with the paperwork you have :D

  • How to delete the number saved in CALL FORWARDING list?

    how to delete the number saved in CALL FORWARDING list? seems like the number cannot be deleted in CALL FORWARDING list, i tried several times...
    he thing is, here are three numbers in the call forwarding list, one of them were set up by mistake, and none of them can be deleted.......it brothers me all the time. i already turn it off, but the number list is still there...

    Hello dennis130915 and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
    The image you have uploaded is unable to be displayed.
    Call Forwarding is a carrier controlled feature. Most likely, the number you see could be for the Voice Mail server.
    It's advised you call your mobile service provider to further assist with this feature.
    Thanks!

    What about:
    OpenFile ( your file );
    cnt = 0;
    while ((br = ReadLine ( ... )) != -2) {
    if (br == -1) {
    // I/O error: handle it!
    break;
    cnt++;
    CloseFile ( ... );
    There are some ways to improve performance of this code, but if you are not reading thousands of lines it's quite fast.
    After this part you can dimension the array to pass to FileToArray... unless you want to read it yourself since you already have it open!

  • How to find the number of entries in a master data table

    Hi Experts,
    I am trying to find the entries in 0CUSTOMER master data.
    BW>LISTCUBE>Data target: 0CUSTOMER and selected the fields that I need.
    I would like to know how to find the "number of entrees". I tried to run the SUM for a count field, but it is taking forever as there are huge number of records .

    Hi Dev,
    Go to the change/display mode of the info object (0CUSTOMER) in your case. Go to the Master data/Text tab. Here you will find the master data tables according to your settings (P orQ or X or Y). Double click on the table name and it will take you to the SE11 display. From there, you can check the number of records as you do in any transparent table.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks and Regards

  • How to find the number of links in a website

    hi every body
    can any one clear my doubt
    my doubt is that
    in a website how to find the number of links the hole website contains
    is there any navigation tool to find that
    plz help me yar
    i am waiting for the reply

    If you're talking about commercial sites (sites you don't have the source code for) I'm not sure.
    If you want to count the links in site that you have the source code for, it should be relatively easy to write a Java application to do it. All you really need to do is have a list of the files you want to count links in, read each file line by line and check for the existance of the <a> tag in each line. Anywhere their is an <a> tag there is a link.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to find port number , when there will be different instance number ?

    In case of portal url,
    port number is 50000 for default instance number 00.
    how to find port number , when there will be different instance number , instead of 00?
    Thanks

    Hi
    You can find the port number by your instance number as follows:
    There is a general format for the port number like you have mentioned.
    For 00 instance the port number is 50000.
    The general format for the port number goes like this:
        <b>5<instance_no>00</b>
    If your <b>instance number is 01</b> then the port number would be <b>50100</b>.
    It depends on the installation type which you perform.
    You can also change the instance number during the installation but normally you dont do this.
    If you have many components or units installed on your system you may have more than one instance in that case it may go like this 00, 01, 02....accordingly port number will be 50000, 50100, 50200...resp.
    Hope this solves your doubt.
    If you need some more clarification please lemme know.

    How To Ask Questions The Smart Way
    Eric Steven Raymond
    Rick Moen
    Write in clear, grammatical, correctly-spelled language
    We've found by experience that people who are careless and sloppy writers are usually also careless and sloppy at thinking and coding (often enough to bet on, anyway). Answering questions for careless and sloppy thinkers is not rewarding; we'd rather spend our time elsewhere.
    So expressing your question clearly and well is important. If you can't be bothered to do that, we can't be bothered to pay attention. Spend the extra effort to polish your language. It doesn't have to be stiff or formal ? in fact, hacker culture values informal, slangy and humorous language used with precision. But it has to be precise; there has to be some indication that you're thinking and paying attention.
    Spell, punctuate, and capitalize correctly. Don't confuse "its" with "it's", "loose" with "lose", or "discrete" with "discreet". Don't TYPE IN ALL CAPS; this is read as shouting and considered rude. (All-smalls is only slightly less annoying, as it's difficult to read. Alan Cox can get away with it, but you can't.)
    More generally, if you write like a semi-literate b o o b you will very likely be ignored. So don't use instant-messaging shortcuts. Spelling "you" as "u" makes you look like a semi-literate b o o b to save two entire keystrokes.

  • How to find the number of fetched lines from select statement

    Hi Experts,
    Can you tell me how to find the number of fetched lines from select statements..
    and one more thing is can you tell me how to check the written select statement or written statement is correct or not????
    Thanks in advance
    santosh

    Hi,
    Look for the system field SY_TABIX. That will contain the number of records which have been put into an internal table through a select statement.
    For ex:
    data: itab type mara occurs 0 with header line.
    Select * from mara into table itab.
    Write: Sy-tabix.
    This will give you the number of entries that has been selected.
    I am not sure what you mean by the second question. If you can let me know what you need then we might have a solution.
    Hope this helps,
    Sudhi
