I the old version of pages i can link them directly but now i really dont know what i have to do ...

If you already have a hosting service you won't need a MobileMe account.
There are two ways you can upload your web site to your server: 1 - click on the site icon in iWeb and enter the ftp address path for your server and account in the window.

2 - publish to a folder on the Desktop (set the path in the same window above) and use a 3rd party ftp client like the free CyberDuck (highly regarded in this forum) to upload to your server.
As far as the domain name, go to your domain name provider and setup domain name forwarding to the site on your host server. You'll need to know the URL to the index.html file that is created along with the site folder by iWeb.

Why do you find it impossible to Copy and Paste?
Copy and paste is the method but you can make it easier on you by first group all objects. Arrange > Group
There are several ways to copy and paste
1. the "normal" one
2. Cmd + D to duplicate
3. Alt/Opt + drag
When you have two card select both and do the copy and paste again and you have 4 cards. Repeat this and you have 8 cards. Add two more cards and you are done.

Contact photos are not showing up in Mail message list, even though the message will link to the contact card in Address Book with the photo in it.

I've even tried replacing a photo that doesn't show up with a photo that does show up for a different contact but no luck. I am syncing to one other Mac, an iPhone and an iPad via iCloud.

Rack Cards with Pages?

Hey everyone, I downloaded the Pages app for my MacBook Pro in the hopes I could create our company's rack cards. I see brochure templates and flyers, but no set rack card template. I'm probably missing something obvious - or not - but I had heard you could this with Pages 09.
Does anyone know how to create a 2 sided rack card with Pages?

When you say "didn't work" it helps to say how it "didn't work" so we can suggest what to do.
Meanwhile:
Menu > Apple > System Preferences > Language & Text > Edit List… check Canadian English/Fançais canadien > OK > drag it to the top of the list > restart Pages
to clear off those pesky southern reactionary tendencies.

btw According to VistaPrint US rack cards are actually 4 x 9". So much easier and more efficent in ISO metric sizes, but unfortunately the USA takes its lead from Myanmar and Liberia.

How do I share contact details with another contact suing Skype for Windows 8. When I right click on the contact I do not see the option "Share Contact" any more. Any ideas?

What do you mean share?
It is not possible to send contacts from one iPhone to another without installing an app that would support this. Bump is one such app.
There is no functionality in iOS to do this. iCloud can share contacts across multiple iDevices, but it would be ALL contacts, just just a few.

Download the Word templates from the company's websites and open them in Pages.

How to move iPhone contact list with custom ringtones to OS X server Contacts?

I have recently setup a new Mac Pro, Mid 2012, running Mavericks OS X Server. I was previously syncing through iTunes on Snow Leopard, 10.6...
Due to the changes in Mavericks WRT iTunes address book syncing, I want to setup Contacts in Server, as I do not want to use iCloud. I tried using the Address Book sync on my MacBook Pro, but that doesn't appear to save any custom ringtone data. I setup Contacts in Server & I moved the current address book to Mavericks, but dragging the contacts into the Server list in Contacts generates warnings, "Some contacts could not be copied to the server" and then sometimes starts duplicating the groups and contacts. The system log has some errors that seem related (system & user munged):

AddressBook-v22.abcddb, does exists, T/S of 22:44. Maybe the above is actually a warning that it created the file? ... except the Failed adding account doesn't sound good.

lsof is the standard tool for listing open files, although I'm not quite sure it'll do what you want.
It will list every open file used by every process on the machine, including many you don't expect. I don't know how it will present files opened by network users - whether they'll appear as owned by the file sharing process or not at all. Definitely one to try.

How to import old Contacts Card Data files into 10.8.5 Contacts app

My old Snow Leopard Macbook died but its hard drive lived.
I was able to find the Address Book contacts but they are in a format that the new Contacts app doesn't recognize.
Its kind is "Contacts Card Data" and each file ends with ".abcdp".
How can I import these files into the new Contacts app? Contacts does not seem to want them. Do I need to convert them to v.card?

I've had no exposure to 10.8 or even 10.7, but the following should work, with 'AddressBook' replaced by 'Contacts'. (It's copied from https://discussions.apple.com/thread/1436528. It worked for me in 10.6.8.)
Quit Address Book.
Make a copy of folder ~/Library/Application Support/AddressBook in case anything goes wrong.
Delete AddressBook-v22.abcddb from ~/Library/Application Support/.
Put your abcdp files in folder ~/Library/Application Support/MetaData.
Restart Address Book.

Use the Holiday Colors theme for a folded card. For the outside select the layout that just includes a full page photo. For the inside select the layout that suits your eye..

How do I add contacts to a pages newsletter I created?

I created a holiday newsletter on pages and now I can't figure out how to insert my contacts into the newsletter. I did it last year, don't know why I can't figure out how to do this again.

Grrrr. I resorted to adding a new text box and inserting separately first name, last name, and the address fields. Now I am waiting for 450 contacts to merge when I only needed 60. Oh so much fun to have to delete hundreds of these newsletters. Gotta to be an easier way, this is nothing but a time waster.

Please advise how link the message type and FM ? so everytime i am executing BD21 with message type ZCOST the program always calling FM ZMASTERIDOC_CREATE_COST to generate the IDOC.

You need to link Mssage type, IDOC type and the FM (also extension idoc type if exits) in TCODE: WE57 --> go to change mode
--> then new entries --> even you need to gove the direction inbound/outbound.
Also you need to create a outbound custom process code in WE41. and link the FM to the process code.
This process code shold be assigned to the partner profile in we20 in outbound parameters -> so you FM will be picked up qutomatically.

How to open documents by default with Pages 4 ( "Change All", "Open With" info option)?

Hello I installed Pages 5, which I don't like.
So I would like to open all my documents by default with Pages 4. However, I can't get the system to fix this default. In the "Info" panel of the Finder, under "Open With", I can set Pages 4 as a default app for one single document, but when I ask to "Change All" documents and use Pages 4, the system refuses to use the setting I select, and keeps reverting to Pages 5. Any suggestion, short of uninstalling Pages 5? Although I don't like it, I need to use it sporadically, so I don't want to uninstall it.

As far as I know, there is not any built-in way to do this. Perhaps an add-on can modify how the "star" works or add a new button for this function?
Until then, you'll have to continue changing the pop-up list:
* when bookmarking a page, double-click the star, and change "Unsorted Bookmarks" to "Bookmarks Toolbar" and then click Done
* when bookmarking a page, press Ctrl+d or right-click the page > click the star on the context menu, and change "Bookmarks Menu" to "Bookmarks Toolbar" and then click Done
Some users like to drag the padlock or globe from the left end of the address bar to the Bookmarks Toolbar, but if you always want the new bookmark added at the end, then this is not efficient.
