How long did it take to activate your iPhone?
It's been 24 hours, and no activation yet. I heard they were having activation problems at first, but they supposedly cleared that up.
10 minutes or less, and it was on the 29th.
Me too! And then again on the 30th (after a number change/move). THAT one took about an hour or two.

How long does it take to get your iPhone 5 battery replaced?
For anyone who had their iPhone 5 battery replaced in the replacement program, I was wondering if you could tell me how long this took and what the procedure is. Can you do this at a Genius Bar? I'm probably going to have no more than a few hours to do this between trips and wondering if it takes five minutes or a couple of days.
Thanks very much.The current iPhone 5 battery replacement program has caused some Apple Stores (including all of them in Houston) to run out of spare batteries. They order more, but can take a few days to get fresh stock.
I went into a store on Tuesday. The Genius ran a diagnostic to be sure my battery was in bad enough shape o qualify. It did, but they were out of batteries, so they put me in line to get one. Today's shipment included a battery with my name on it, so I took the phone back in today. The replacement was complete about 45 minutes later. -
Exactly how long did it take before YOUR headphones went out?
This being my second iPod and knowing many a people who have owned iPods I knew when I bought the new 5th gen that the headphones would probable only last me a month. They lasted a week. Ok I went back to the Apple store and had them exchanged them. These have lasted me a surprising long time. 3 weeks.
My question, like the famous tootsie roll comercial, how long did it take before your headphones went out? ANd how many times can you have them exchanged?

Mac OS X (10.3.6)I've been using 2G on and off for 3 years and just handed mine to my son. He wanted the cool iPod look with his non-iPod. I just opened my 2G Mini head phones a month ago. I havent opened my 5G yet. The newer ones seems a little bit cheaper made.
It all depends on how you treat it. I fall asleep with them on and still havent destroyed 2g Mini's. Too bad mine doesn't die so I can replace them with something better.
When buying new phones, check the user reviews, I know Koss notoriously go bad. Senheiser seems good. -

Normally activation should only be a matter of minutes, but if your iTunes library (where you're trying to activate the phone) is in a place where you have no cell service, it will not activate until you take it to a place where you do have service.
So if it is sitting idle and not activating that could be a reason (happened to me). If you're a Verizon customer you may have to dial *228, then press 1 to finish the activation. -
I have sent my iPod back for servicing because it is cracked, with some dispute with Apple I have managed to get a brand new iPod Touch. Just wondering if anyone has had this problem how long did it take from "Replacement Product Pending" to get back to the UK

The one time I had to send my iPod in for repair, it was back in my hands seven days later. I don't think you should call and gripe. I think you should call and politely ask for an update.

Mine was pretty snappy. It took around 15-17 mins.

Interesting question, beachn! If I understand correctly, you're trying to see how long it will take to update the software/operating system of an iPhone 4. If that's the case, the during of a software update will depend greatly on the speed of your computer and/or your phone. I've seen the process vary from 4 minutes to an hour. If I did not understand correctly, please describe what you mean by update. Thanks!

The first back up to iCloud may take some considerable time. Just how long isn't really possible to say without knowing how much is in your back up and your connection speed.
What many people don't realise is that upload speeds are often significantly less than download speeds, so for example a user may have a download speed of 40 Mbps, but only 1 Mbps for uploading. As a rough guide it will take around 2 ¼ hours to upload 1 GB of data at 1 Mbps. -

That's not really true. Open apps, except for the one you are actively using, use no power. They are in a suspended state. And killing apps in the Quick Launch screen does not necessarily stop ones with background processes from using power.
What you should be using the Quick Launch screen for is to switch quickly between applications without having to go back to the Home screen and navigating to the app you want every time. -
10.5.2 Update How Long Did it Take You?
Did your's update successfully? How long did you wait. I've been waiting for about 8 hours now with no success, stuck at startup/bootup apple logo and rotating counter.
Mine only took about six minutes to install. Then the computer went through the two restart cycles that seem to be typical of system updates which took a few minutes. After that, the computer boots "normally". I have not timed it but it does not seem like an inordinate amount of time is required to start up. I would say if it's taking longer than a minute or two to boot, there's something not right.
