Could anyone tell the easiest way to find out how long I have left on my Imac (apple care warranty). I have sold it and want to know the definite year and month when it expires. I have checked the website on apple care but just says I m covered but doesn't say when it expires.

Yes, you can; you can always take a Mac to any Apple Store for service. I'm not sure what the "custom agreement" might be; perhaps a service extension of some sort. If that is the case, then whether or not Apple will repair your system for free will depend on what that extension covers, but the Apple Store will provide a diagnosis and an estimate of the charges if the problem is not covered under warranty.

I believe it used to be offered for a year after purchase, but now it's 30 60 days (Niel is correct) (for AppleCare + in the U.S.).

I think you may be slightly confused about how the 10-Client license works? Basically you can only manage and 'see' 10 client workstations when using ARD from an administrator's workstation.
The serial number itself (or if you like its license) is used when launching ARD for the first time on a workstation you decided to install it on. It only applies to that workstation. You key it in when prompted. The license is not installed or used in any way AFAIK on any workstation you decide to control/observe/manage.

If no change after restoring the iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from the backup, there is a hardware problem.

I went to open Aperture and got the message that "Aperture can not be opened while it is being updated"..... I have thousands of photos in there and as soon as I can get access I will be dumping Aperture and moving to Lightroom. I used Aperture for all my photography work and only rarely used Photoshop. Aperture could handle just about everything I needed and now I can’t even access my OWN FILES? Bad move Apple, it looks like the last time I’ll ever buy Apple software.

I spent the best part of a day moving Aperture files onto a Glyph 6TB StudioRaid in the hope that I could open the files I need on my MacBook Pro. I get set up and then find that I can’t open any of the files because they are all Aperture 3.4.5 or thereabouts and the copy of Aperture that I have on the Mac book Pro is 3.2.4. It cannot open the newer version of the files. The MacBook Pro is running OSX 10.6.8 I can't upgrade Aperture on there apparently.
I then go back to the iMac and dump the latest copy of Aperture, re-install Aperture Version 3 and it tells me " You can't use this version of the application " Aperture.app" 3.0 with this version OSX. I'm using OSX 10.9.4 on the iMac. I have NEVER had problems with Aperture until this last incident.
Now I am in big trouble. I'll set up an appointment at the local Apple Genius bar and see if I can talk to someone tonight.

Typically you shouldn't have to charge it. It should come with enough of a charge to use it right out of the box. But you will need to charge it when the battery gets low and you can do that at your convenience....and you can use the iPad while the battery is charging.
