hi,
i try to reset my e65 with *#7370# an d also *#7780# codes but it last too long. i haven't seen completion of the reset process yet. i waited about 6 hours but still not finished. Is there any problem with my e65.
i wondered how long does it take to completely reset your phones. And how your E65s reacted during the reset process. when i entered codes it asks for the lock code after i enter 12345 it closes and it opens nokia brand on the screen with a very low contrast then nokia brand disappers and starts to wait very low contrast position and i cant see any process any screen like formatting... ext. also when i push to power on button it never gives a reaction.

I'm 100% certain the sim is not touched in a hard reset (done many over the years

That's rather like asking how long is a piece of string.
It depends on how much you've got to migrate. Make sure that you run software update on the old machine before you start the migration. Failure to do this is one of the biggest causes of problems people have with this process.

I have a feeling this has to do with particular apps and then the amount of info on your phone. For instance Syncing/backing up can take FOREVER if you have AppSniper but don't clear the cache. SO its probably something similar. Like if you were to delete all the apps from your old phone and sync with yoru computer... I bet its a lot faster. You could then just put each app you use through itunes.

You are right there as a weard issue try with the battery comes out and then try to connect to the itunes should be working properly, if not fix the power on/off button because are escential to do it.

now the screen says restoring settings. please wait.

Mine's usually about 5 minutes, but it wouldn't be more than 30-40, if it's any longer.......
You can't do much else besides pull the plug. If it causes further problems you should be able to restore as below:
Get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
    1.    Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
    2.    Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
    3.    Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
    4.    Open iTunes.
    5.    Select your Apple TV in the Devices list, and then click Restore.
On the other hand you may be able to simply start the update again. If however the update continues to fail, you should try the restore routine above.

How recently did you switch? If it's less than 60 days, then Verizon simply reinstates your previous account. The fact that you were on the EDGE plan and mailed the devices back, and they apparently are somewhere in the system, could cause complications, and it might just work out that you just go back on the same plan and they set you up with the same devices. I'm not sure how it will go - but since you are still being billed for the devices...

The first back up to iCloud may take some considerable time. Just how long isn't really possible to say without knowing how much is in your back up and your connection speed.
What many people don't realise is that upload speeds are often significantly less than download speeds, so for example a user may have a download speed of 40 Mbps, but only 1 Mbps for uploading. As a rough guide it will take around 2 ¼ hours to upload 1 GB of data at 1 Mbps.
