How long does iPad 3 actually take time to charge ?

It's taking a long time to charge my ipad3. Why is that? The first time I charged it was pretty fast but the second time is taking a long time.

The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.
At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. • HT4623 How long does ios 7 take time to download ?

How long does ios 7 take time to download???
For my ipad mini it says 28 hours and my iPhone 4S it says 68 hours!!!
    Why???

    Diavonex:
My apologies.  I meant to say iOS 7.02, but I guess my wishful thinking for 7.03 being out there got in the way.
BTW, it took me the better part of 1/2 hour to install 7.02 over top of my existing 7.0 iPad 3rd-gen installation.
Some suggestions (if not outright hints and tips) for everyone when you upgrade your iPads:
Make sure you keep at least about 1-2 GBs of free space on your iPad AFTER installing iOS 7 or later, otherwise you may risk seeing your performance suffer big-time.
I like filling my 64 GB iPad bucket with apps, and shortly after I finished downloading a couple of really HUGE games to fill that remaining 3.5 GBs of space that I had after upgrading from iOS 6 to iOS 7 (notably, Asphalt 8, Megapolis HD, etc), things REALLY started to slow down, and, most importantly, SCREW up, leading to crashes if I opened apps, crashes and restarts just updating apps, even crashes if I swiped to unlock and change a few basic settings
Hoping some of these performance issues will be addressed in a future iOS 7.1 upgrade, or, at least, we see recognition and guidelines of where this water line should be from Apple.  My guess is, if they do this, they will get about one gazillion articles from the Apple journo community, not to mention a boatload of complaints.
My gut instinct is saying at least about 1-2 GBs is where this presumably critical operational waterline is, but depending on your iPad, your mileage may vary, so this is just a heads-up and to keep an eye on your usage and storage stats if you see your performance take a hit without warning.
My current solution: Start deleting apps until you get back to that 1-2 GB free zone level.  I didn't even need to restart to see my performance improve to something approaching enjoyable, if not tolerable.

  • How long does FTTC actually take?!

    Hi
    Re: Exchange LVNLW - Newton-le-Willows
How long does FTTC actually take to be enabled? Roadworks and cabinets were installed in August and the Coming Soon section of the openreach check website listed enablement in the same August (2014).
Nothing happened... then in September the Coming Soon section listed enablement in September 2014.
The Same thing then happened in October, November and December.
    I checked again today and, although the coming soon document is now a lot harder to find;
    http://www.openreach.co.uk/orpg/home/products/super-fastfibreaccess/downloads/sffa_exchange_lists/co...
it is still listing as December....
Has no-one had the chance to update the enablement to the current month yet?
Is there any chance of a real date being given by someone?
The [email protected] is no longer usable. Connecting Cheshire have no idea and Openreach simply increment the month each time.
    Slightly annoyed....

  • How long does it typically take to update new apple products?  I'm speaking in terms of software/firmware updates.  My new Apple TV and iPad 3 are glitchy, which is extremely frustrating considering I have the last gen of each sitting there working great.

How long does it typically take to update new apple products?  I'm speaking in terms of software/firmware updates.  My new Apple TV and iPad 3 are glitchy, which is extremely frustrating considering I have the last gen of each sitting there working flawlessly.

I appreciate the responses, however my initial post was too vague. I apologize and will explain.  The specific issues are the window closes occasionally when loading something large, that has ceased in the last day or two. My battery life is no where near the second gens, is that the extra hardware at work? I thought that had been accounted for? One of the frustrating, albeit humorous occurrences is when I placed the second and third gen within 1 foot of each other, turned off LTE, and streamed a video.  From every location the second gen out ran the new model on 3G signal, lol.  Not a huge deal since I have wi-fi or LTE pretty much everywhere I am, but disappointing none the less.
The new apple tv is great, except for the same thing everyone is posting about. HD iTunes library streaming taking overly extended load times. I don't expect it will take too long  for apple to address that issue. I'm new to apple, last 6 months, but they seem to have excellent support!  It is definetly highly rated.

  • I am having trouble with resetting my ipad mini. I have been having it on reset for 2 hours already and its still on the same spot and not moving anywhere. How long does it usually take to restore settings?

Anyone having same issue as mines please help me put. I am having trouble with resetting my ipad mini. I have been having it on reset for 2 hours already and its still on the same spot and not moving anywhere. How long does it usually take to restore settings? And how can i exot put of ot from restoring anymore?

This is how you Reset  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430

It will obviously vary depending on how drained the battery is, but figure on 3-4 hours for a full charge.

  • How long does it usually take to charge your card for an iTunes purchase?

hi, i bought a song a few days ago and it still has not shown up on my debit card yet. How long does this usually take? Also the first time I purchased a song it didn't seem to download the same way the second one did and didn't show up at all in my purchases. Am I doing something wrong?

It could be day or a week.

  • How long does it normally take to convert from PDF to Excel files?

How long does it normally take to convert from a PDF to Excel files?

    Sara-
I did see your response.  Thanks.  The other thing that happened was after I enabled Adobe on my Dell it apparently knocked out my Mozilla.  Now I can't get internet connection unless I use Internet Explorer which I would prefer not to.  I'm going to visit our IT folks tomorrow and see if I can get some of this resolved.
The PDF files I obtained that I am trying to transfer to Excel may be too complex because there is a great deal of extraneous text information in the basic document that lies outside of the tables I want to transfer.  I'm going to try and highlight the tables only and see if this works.
Thanks for taking the time answering.
    Best,
    Henry

  • How long does it usually take to ship Iphone 4 for at&t?

How long does it usually take to ship Iphone 4 for at&t?

The US Apple Store says that AT&T-model iPhone 4 units are in stock, which usually means that they ship in a day or so, though shipping at this time of year may take longer. Other resellers may ship sooner or may take longer to ship. As RG said, you'd have to ask whoever you ordered, or intend to order, from to confirm exact shipping details.
    Regards.

How long does it typically take to install creative cloud desktop on a MacBook pro?

About 5 minutes and that's actually pretty slow for such a minor tool. if you have issues, just explain them and provide the necessary technical info.

  • How long does face detection take when first install Aperture3?

How long does face detection take when first install Aperture 3?
I just upgraded from Aperture 2 to Aperture 3 and installed latest updates to Aperture 3.2.2 and I have a message at the bottom of the browser: "Face detection..." with a spinning wheel. This has been going for over an hour.  But it took six hours for Aperture 3 to upgrade my Aperture 2 library (approximately 60,000 photos).  Am I looking at the same sort of time frame for "face detection"?

Thanks for the info... but I just answered my own question: I went to Aperture Preferences (thanks to someone's suggestion that this is where to turn off Faces) and an activity screen popped up showing Face detection progress. (Cool!) It's going thru all my images... and right now the status is 4,080 of 55,182.  Very nice.  So looks like I have a few more hours to go!

  • How long does it normally take for all of your music to load on the new computer when you are home sharing?

I am trying to load my music on my sisters computer. How long does it normally take for the first time to download? Her computer has been "Checking for new purchases," for about an hour now.

10 hours does not seem right at all. Should take several minutes at best. The entire OS installation is under an hour. Post your issue in the FCS forum area here:

  • WD Sentinel DX4000 - How long does it typicially take to factory reset?

I'm factory resetting the WD Sentinel DX4000 and formatting its hard drives and its taking quite a while. The dialog box says that formating and reseting may take serveral minutes but it has already been a couple hours. How long does it typically take to reset? Also the progress bar is not filling up at all, is this normal?

Kinda depends on why you are doing the restore.  If the drives were in good shape it should not take that long.  If the drives neeed to initialize it may well take a couple of days.  You must leave the "host PC" connected during this time What brought on the need to do the restore?

  • How long does it normally take to download a 2.8gb film to a brand new ipod touch ?

How long does it normally take to download a 2.8gb film to a new ipod touch ? - I'm using a wireless internet connection with a strong signal (speed 300mbps), but looks like it could take hours - that cant be right ?.  So far just 700mb have been downloaded in over an hour and a half.

    3 hours more.

  • So I created an account yesterday and I still havn't gotten the verification email. How long does it usually take to recieve that?

I can't use my $25 card because I havn't gotten the verification email, but I set up my account last night and I keep trying to resend the email, but I still havn't got anything yet. How long does it usually take to get it?

What model iPhone you have is completely irrelevant. How long it will take to download iTunes is dependent on the speed of your Internet connection.

  • How long does it usually take to get added raw support (nex5n)?  i pretty much just use aperture 3 and love it but why does lightroom from adobe seem to get raw support faster than Apple's Aperture 3.  Also FCPX lacks v Adobe on 60p.

How long does it usually take to get raw support for Aperture 3?  Is it slowed by Apple or camera company.  I only ask because Lightroom has support for nex5n raw but Aperture 3 does not.  Also direct import into Adobe premiere  and ability to edit in 60p.  However, support for 60 p not as easily worked with in FCPX.  I am just surprised Apple does not keep pace with these type of updates that Adobe does.  Don't get me wrong I love and use Apple software  when I can but I wish Apple was ahead of adobe in getting this support.  I guess more of a vent than a question.

    Yes, more of a vent.
    FWIW I agree.
Camera companies keep RAW specs confidential so firms like Apple and Adobe have to (sort of) reverse-engineer to develop RAW converters for each new camera. The good news is to my eyes/brain Apple usually does a slightly better job at it than Adobe does. The best RAW conversions (logically) come from the camera manufacturers.
Apple gives up market share with slow support for new cameras. IMO really DUMB. It has at least been improving...
