How long does it stay in Prepared for Shipment????

My iPod changed to *Prepared for Shipment* about this morning, but usually, when orders from Apple change to Prepared for Shipment, the package data is received at FedEx in the late evening hours: 7PM-9PM Central. Is that when my iPod touch will change to Shipped ?

Mine changed to "Prepared for Shipment" yesterday morning by about 10am GMT, 29 hours later and it is still "Prepared for Shipment". The guy I spoke to on the phone said "that means it will ship in the next 24 hours", guess that was wrong then

What is the average duration of 1 full SAP life cycle or 1 end-to-end implementation. How long does it take to prepare DEV, QAS and PRD in any company?

    Anand,
let me start with saying that the question you ask may not help you to determine the duration of your project. As Ryan and others stated the duration of the project is highly dependent on the scope of the solution you are implementing, geographical scope, amount of modifications/enhancements, number of languages, number of users that need to be trained, amount of standard processes customer is able to re-use in the implementation and many other factors (like quality of implementation contractor you will chose and availability of customer and implementors resources). I can probably go on for another couple lines, but I guess you get the idea.
With that out of the way let's talk about some example implementations that will give you an idea - Ryan did great job outlining what I would call traditional approach above. I have couple examples where customers leveraged innovative deployment strategies that are available today. In particular the project teams leveraged pre-packaged services like RDS, World Template or Best Practices as their baseline solution and they built from there. Second acceleration technique customers now leverage is the deployment in the SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud to accelerate the time to initial setup of the system and thus move from traditional blueprinting to scope validation exercise that further shortens the time. There are other acceleration techniques we see applied in some cases like use of iterative implementation of the delta requirements on top of the baseline solution.
Let me offer few examples to illustrate what I explained above:
ERP implementation at Schaidt Innovations with 3 months long deployment of ERP solution using ERP RDS as a baseline (you can view their testimonial here - Schaidt Innovations: SAP ERP on HANA in the cloud - YouTube)
Customer in Asia with global template deployment that leveraged SAP ERP for Manufacturing with deployment to cloud and 9 countries rollout (Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, UK, Germany and US). The initial deployment took 4 months for first country and 2 months for rollout into the additional 8 countries - so total of 6 months. The original plan using traditional approach with full blueprint and heavy configuration was estimated to be more than double of the actual deployment time.
There are many other examples where customers follow the assemble-to-order delivery model for their project and gain significant benefits doing so. I suggest you to review some of the recordings we did in 2013 about this approach and if you are member of ASUG review the Agile ASAP sessions we did for ASUG PM SIG.

  • How long does the IPhone5c battery last for without hardly any usage with about 2/3 to 3/4 left?

How long does the IPhone5c battery last for without hardly any usage with about 2/3 to 3/4 left?
Has the side affect of charging, where the battery's life gradually decreases overall with each charge, been fixed ?

    Eric,
They did say 12-14 hours, but as is always the case with such estimates, they invariably quote the 'best possible scenario' and almost never mirror 'real world' conditions.
If, from a fully charged position, you simply switch on your nano, and set it to continuously play through a long set of songs, with EQ off, backlight off, modest volume (50%) don't touch it during playback, then you might just get somewhere near this figure - and if you don't then it's either not been conditioned properly or it's faulty.
If you use it like me, daily for a couple of hours, with 2 secs backlight and switch songs regularly, using fairly high volumes then 6-8 hours is more likely. It'll even drain when it's not in use, even in sleep mode, albeit very slowly. They also tend to drain more quickly before they've been through their first few charge cycles (the conditioning period).
Personally I haven't got a problem with this though I can understand why some people have. It's not very impressive in this respect. Apple should be able to come up with something much better - maybe they should talk to Sony

  • How long does subVI stay in memory

    Hi,
I would like to know how long does a subvi stay in memory? If it is not used anymore will LabVIEW automatically close it? Thanks!
          Tom
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Overall, we don't have enough information to fully answer the question, because the question is not very specific.
    For example:
if the subVI is called dynamically, it probably can leave memory once it is closed.
If the subVI is reentrant, It can have multiple instances in memory.
To have a subVI in memory is typically irrelevant in terms of the memory the code alone occupies. More serious is the amount of data structures allocated by the subVI. Here we have some tools, e.g. the "request deallocation" primitive. This can be useful if a subVI is called only once, and then never again, but needs gigantic data structures. Typically, subVIs are called multiple times with similar data structures, so it would be a mistake to constantly deallocate, only to reallocate a few nanoseconds later.
As Smercurio_fc already mentioned, another important question for performance tuning is if the front panel is in memory or not. A subVI that does not need to have the FP in memory executes often much faster and takes less memory. It is thus important not to have the FP of subVIs open unless there is a need for interaction. Certain coding habits (e.g. use of some invoke nodes or some property nodes) also force the FP in memory, even if the FP is not shown. This is documented in the help for each method/property so it is important to avoid these if they are not really needed.
In summary, it would be interesting to know what exact concerns the OP had when he asked " I would like to know how long does a subvi stay in memory?".
There has to be more to the question...

  • Once an updated image, photo, text is sent into the cloud, and it connects with the other devices, how long does it stay in the cloud?

I've updated my iPhone4 with IOS5, and both my MacBook Pro and iMac with Lion.  If I wish to use iCloud or Cloud, and want to share with other devices something like a note on the iPhone, with my iMac, say for editing reasons; once the item gets to the other device(s), how long does the shared item stay in the cloud?  And, can it be removed to free up space or is it always there in whatever version?

    Poulton-le-Fylde, UK
Do I have a choice as to what actually gets transferred into the cloud or does it take what it wants?  What if I don't care to share particular data with another device, does the cloud take it anyway?

I just purchased more storage space for my ipad mini. How come it hasn't taken affect yet? How long does it take for me to see the storage that I purchased?

There is a warning notice when the process first starts that it may shut down, and, if so, to wait some long time (30 or 60 seconds; I forgot just which) before powering up.  Sometimes they reboot, and sometimes not.  But in any event, you probably went through more than one reboot, and passed the firmware test.
    Enjoy your MacBook Air!

  • How long does an apple wireless keyboard for iPad battery last?

does anyone know how long does an apple keyboard for iPad battery last? Thanks

No.  Once sn iOS version comes out that is not compatible with your hardware, you cannot, obviously, update iOS any longer.  However, your iPad running the last release of iOS compatible with it will continue to run that iOS release at the same speed it always did.
Nothing about any computer ever slows down with age - your cpu, RAM and storage all function at the same speed as they always did.  New software may add features that tax your system more than a newer system would be taxed, but nothing about your system changes just because the device ages.
At some point, our system simply is unable to update or run newer software because that newer or updated software requires hardware features that yours simply does not have.  But your exisiting software on your existing hardware will continue to run just as it always has.
As to when your system becomse unable to handle new software or iOS features, that is purely a matter of how quickly newer hardware comes out and how quickly software developers move to new features that your system cannot handle.
There is no inherent reason to believe that an iPad 4 will not be compatible with the next release of iOS - it might not be, but it may very well be.  Depends entirely on what changes the next release (whenever that may be) introduces, and what new device hardware Apple may be working on.

  • How long does an email invite take for CC teams?  I have tried to add a new user but the amil was never recived.

It seems my new user isn't getting the invitation to my team.  I've tried having the user create an adobe account and tried having him just log in to the CC app. but it want to be in "trial" mode.  Not sure what to do next.  Any ideas?

    Hi There,
Kindly ask the user to check the Junk Email and spam folders.
This is what you can try.
Send invitation to a different user so that you can test if the email account that you are inviting is faulty or not.

  • How long does the preparation take for ???

My order of late 2012 iMac 27" is now showing
    Preparing for Shipment
How long does it take for them to ship my iMac since the date of showing "Preparing for Shipment"?
(OMG...They're so slow...it seems taking them years...)

By about Dec 4th or 5th all of the 27" iMacs that would ship in the first 'batch' had been ordered.  Anyone ordering after that time would have to wait for the 2nd production run and there was/is no way to know just when the 2nd wave of iMacs would be ready to ship.
How long has your order been 'Preparing for Shipment'?  If it is more than a day or so I can certainly see why you are a bit disappointed and frustrated, I would be too.
The only consolation I can give is that the 27" is apparently a very good machine (mine certainly is) which will give you a lot of pleasure when it does arrive.

I'm trying to set up homesharing on my mom's computer, but it's not working. I type in her Apple ID and password, click create homeshare and at the top it says accessing itunes store and shows the loading bar and nothing happens. This didn't happen when I created mine, and I'm not sure what to do. I've updated her software, and that didn't help. Anyone know what to do or have the same problem?

    As long as it takes.
Frankly, this would be a question for Apple, not other users in this user to user support forum.
