How long for itunes match?
How long is normal for iTunes Match to go?
I seem to have it go through and recyle umpteen times and has now been going for over 20 hours.
This is on a base of about 11,000 songs and darned if I know whether my tv programs are included or not.
It seems to go thorugh steps then add a few hundred more songs each pass
Very confusing and challenginng to wait for it
How much 'updating' can it do?
One other killer quiestion - if you delete purchased songs from your machine (as in when your storage space is getting too big and costing too much?) - how do you permanently remove something from your database?

I am not surprised to hear it is taking a long time. I signed up when Match first became available. It took several days before it finally finished. I had maybe half as many tracks as you. Also, prepare for this ahead of time: Even after it finishes there will still be some tracks that do not match. This still happens even though iTunes Match has been around for a year.
To permanently delete a track from iTunes Match, check the box in the delete confirmation that says "Also delete this item from iCloud".

It has been 3 days and only 30+ songs out of a couple hundred are available from Match. None have been added in the last 2 days. I am still signed in and have signed out and back in. I have read that it takes a long time, but I don't have near the songs that most have. At this rate it will take months to get access to my few songs...................................... Wonder if I should cancel this fiasco and just use space on my ipad and iphone.............................

What's the typical amount of time required to have music added to iTunes to become available in iTunes Match and, subsequently, available on my other iOS devices (iPhone 5S, iPad 4)? It seems like I'm always waiting at least two days for the music to finally become available on my other devices.
One thing, in addition, that I've noticed is that the music appears to available sooner under the "Artists" or "Album" buttons on my iPhone and iPad, but not under the "Recently Added" smart playlist I have setup in iTunes and, thus, mirrored on my devices.
Any thoughts would be appreciated on both counts.

How long for iTunes to 'Find purchased items on iPad' 30 mins so far..
Started a second synch on my iPad and it has been stuck on 'Finding purchased items on iPad' for 30 minutes now.
Are new purchased made on the iPad difficult for iTunes to find?That is definitely not good! I too have a UK 32GB WiFi iPad bought from the Apple store on Friday but I have faced no problems. Are you sure that you haven't forgotten about a screen protector you've put on or something?
I suggest you ring Apple support ASAP or even better, take it back to an Apple store!
In my amatuer opinion, it looks like a coating has started to remove. Have you had it under any exceptional circumstances like extremely high heat or moisture? -
Why does it take so long for iTunes Match to synch with IOS Device?
This weekend I ripped about 15 CD's that I had purchased from Amazon.com. For some reason it took a long, long time to get into iMatch. Granted some of the CD's weren't popular and may have needed to actually upload as opposed to match with already stored music. But some were new, and popular releases.
Typcially I rip, let iMatch do its thing and just stream the music, not download, to my IOS devices. I did leave my iMac running for several hours, and even after iTunes on the iMac showed an successful match some music didn't show up for a day, or if it did it was "ghosted" and I could not get it to stream.have the same problem since upgrading to i tunes 7 and can only guess it's the size of my library - nearly 200gb. A friend of mine who's library is 20 gb or so has no such problems. If there's another reason and we can do something about it I too would love to know!

Stuck on whast step? 1, 2. or 3? Is iTunes uploading? If so this stage is highly dependent on the speed of your upload connection to the internet which is, generally, never as fast as your download speed. For example most basic DSL connections is the US are 1.5 Mbps down/256 Kbps up.

I have my App in AppStore, and I want to change the App details about seller's web site.
After editing the web site info using iTunes connect, I have wait 8 hours but my App details was not updated at all, am I missing something, please advise.It varies drastically. In some cases, I've had stuff update in a few hours; in others it takes the better part of a day. With all of the store's caching, updates don't appear smoothly across the store, either.

On iTunes 11, how can I access home sharing if the music is from a CD on a different computer using Home Sharing? Is there any way I can download these songs if (A) I no longer have the CD, or (B) I do not want to pay $25 a year for iTunes Match?
Yes, you can copy songs that you ripped from a CD to your Home Sharing computer.
Turn on Home Sharing first on both computers. To do that, go to File > Home Sharing > Turn on Home Sharing. Enter your Apple ID and password.
Now go to your computer that you want to copy the songs to and connect to your Home Share. You can do that by clicking on the popover button located at the left top corner right below the play control buttons. Click on it and scroll to the bottom until you see your Home Share and select it.
Go to Music in your Home Share. Select the songs that you want to copy in your Home Share and click Import at the bottom right corner. -

You are correct, you cannot delete songs from iTunes in the Cloud. This is where all of your purchases are permanently stored so if you want to re-download something you can. Sometimes purchases will no longer be available, if the merchant pulls them from the iTunes store, but for the most part, all of your past purchases will remain in iTunes in the Cloud.
This has absolutely nothing to do with iTunes Match.

How can I change the country in iTunes when I've subscribed for iTunes Match?
I've subscribed for iTunes Match. When I now want to change my country it says I first have to unsubscribe iTunes Match! I've already turned off Auto-Renew… how can I unsubscribe now? Do I have to wait until my subscribtion ends? But I need a country change NOW!
Changing country raises all sorts of issues in iTunes. Would strongly suggest that you call Apple directly to discuss, or find your local genius bar and call in.
Typical issues include no longer being able to see 'purchased' items in your original country and successfully resolving the iTunes Match service warning. -
For iTunes Match, how come some songs "match" on an album and other songs on the same album "upload" without matching? All songs are available on iTunes. I don't get it! Any way to manually match songs that iTunes apparently can't match? I have hundreds in this unmatched state.

You aren't comparing like with like.
The main task that Shazam has is to identify the name or a track and the artist. I believe that it suggests the album as well, but if it gets that wrong then it doesn't really matter too much.
With iTunes Match, getting the album (i.e. identifying which version it is) is much more important. If it gets that wrong then it breaks up the flow of an album. This makes the task that match has very much harder.
In fact, there is a strong argument to say that currently the problem iTunes has is that it is matching too many songs, resulting in matches from different albums.
I'm sure that match is not struggling to identify whether it has a song or not, but whether it has the correct version of a song. When you introduce different masterings into the process then, depending on the thresholds set, it is probably correct in concluding that it hasn't got a particular version, even if you think it has.
The solution would appear to me to be a tweaking of the matching thresholds along with the ability to force an upload, but we just don't know what restrictions they have (remember that if Shazam gets it wrong the it doesn't present you with a copy of a new track that you didn't have previously). It is almost certainly not just a case of improving their technology. -

Choose Store > Sign In.
Enter your Apple ID and password and click Sign In.
Choose Store > View My Account. You may be asked to re-enter your Apple ID password.
In the "iTunes in the Cloud" section, click Turn Off Auto-Renew to the right of iTunes Match.
To turn off Auto-Renew for iTunes Match from an iOS device using iOS 7.1 or later
Choose Settings > iTunes & App Stores.
If you're not already signed in with your Apple ID, tap the Apple ID field, enter your username and password, and tap >Done on the onscreen keyboard.

How can my wife access all of our iTunes music, even if she subscribes to iTunes Match, if her Apple ID is different than mine?
I do subscribe to iTunes Match.....and the music i am referring to is all of our downloaded albums and songs that are currently in iTunes and in the "cloud" on my iPhone and my iPad.
So if she uses my Apple ID for her iPhone, she can sign up for iTunes Match on my account? Will any of my apps then transfer to her phone? Or just the iTunes "data"? -
I need specific instructions on how to change my credit card informaiton for iTunes Match
I have looked everywhere in the Apple system to get instructions to change my Credit Card number for iTunes Match. I found the instructions on how to change my payment information in the iTunes Store Account but when I follow those instructions, they are not correct. What happened is that I had to cancel my credit card and my bank issued a new credit card andin the meantime, Apple tried to renew my iCloud account and it was rejected because I had not changed my credit card information on file. Now I am trying to change my credit card information and I cannot accomplish that task. Can someone help me?

It sounds as if you have already found the method to change your card details, but just to confirm: go to the iTunes Store. Click 'Account' under 'Quick links' at the right. Log in.
Where it says 'Payment Information' click on 'Edit' to the right of it.
You should then be able to enter the correct card details.
Is this not working? Do you get an error message?
