How long has your app been IN REVIEW?

I must say I'm disappointed in the turnaround time between my uploading an app update and it being reviewed and posted to the iTunes app store.
I uploaded a new version of my app 4 days ago, and am still opening iTunes Connect only to see it is still "In Review"
How long have you guys had to wait to have an app reviewed and posted?
What is really frustrating is that my game had some misspellings, small stuff that I have fixed in an update, and I am getting hammered in my customer reviews over things that I have fixed already and uploaded 4 days ago!!

If you search this forum you will find from the large number of similar questions that reviews seem to average about a week though some have seen quicker and some have seen much longer.
Everyone wants their app updated immediately. This is, of course, understandable. At the same time some people complain about the junk apps that get approved. It can't work both ways. Apple is getting slammed with new apps and updated apps. It takes time to do even a cursory glance at each and every one to ensure it at least meets some minimum standards.
You can update your app description with some nice comment at the top about your pending new release and what fixes/changes are coming. These updates seem to show up in iTunes in less than a day. That may help a bit.
Of course the best solution is to test your app better to avoid putting out buggy versions. I know this is hard if you are like me - one person trying to get an app out. I don't do QA for a living for a reason
I posted a new app two days ago. It's killing me to wait a week for it to appear but it's a fact of life right now. Someone, not living in the Internet age, said that patience is a virtue.

  • How Long has FCE 4 Been out?

I am wondering how long FCE HD has been around. More to the point when would we expect to see an update to FCE? I am getting ready to pull the trigger on buying this app but got burnt with Toast 9. Bought it on Friday and version 10 came out the following Monday. I realize no one here has inside info, but based on past history does anyone expect some sort of update in the near term?

As Tom says, we are not allowed to speculate on future software, without getting angry emails from Apple telling us we have violated the terms of use of the forum. Historically, a new version of FCE has only come out at least several months after the new version of Final Cut Studio. Until another version of FCP is introduced, it is safe to assume that there will not be another version of FCE out there.

  • How long has your laptop lasted? please participate

I thought it would be beneficial to many such as myself who is new to Lenovo & trying to determine which might be best to buy as our first.
I totally understand that how one cares for their pc can greatly contribute to the longevity of their pc, so keeping that in mind.
    1.  Which laptop(s) (8 years or younger) have you had/do you have?  ThinkPad, IdeaPad, Edge, etc....series & model
    2.  How long did it last &/or still going strong?
    3.  Did you need to take it in for repairs?  If so, at what age did probs arise & what were they?
    4.  How do you use your pc?  Such as the strain thru usage such as heavy-medium-light gaming, watching videos, office use, facebook & the like, youtube, surfing, streaming movies/tv, skype, etc....as well as how often you use it i.e.: 24/7, a few hours (more or less) straight, etc.
Thanks in advance for any and all participation.

    Well, let me chime in...
    1) I believe I've owned every single R, T, W, X (apart from 1** range) and Z series ThinkPad prior to *30 generation. In quantities. Make that large quantities. No IdeaPads, L, S, SL, or Edge series ever.
    2) Most of these machines are still up and running to the best of my knowledge and belief. I wouldn't be able to trace every single one of them, though.
    3) Every generation has its own specific problems, small or large. I could write a book answering this part of your question.
    4) I don't play games on my PCs but do just about everything else and most of them are turned on 24/7/365.
The oldest working ThinkPad I own is X24 from 2001. The newest one is W520 which is not two years old yet.
And there's about a dozen of them in between...
What are you actually trying to determine?
    Cheers,
    George

  • How long has my macbook been asleep?

I was wondering if there was a graph, or some kind of log kept on the macbook pro that tells me the awake time and sleep time of my computer for the past... however long. I know I can open terminal and type "uptime" and get to see how long it has been since my last shut-down, but I want to know specifically for how long my macbook slept during its last sleep. Is there a way to do this? Thanks for the help!

  • How long has Itunes/app store been charging tax on purchases?

I purchased something for 99 cent today and received my bill and I have an 8 cent charge. Was there ever anything sent out about apple planning on charging taxes on itunes purchases? It's inconvenient to buy those gift cards when the card denominations don't allow for tax.

I think it may depend on where you live. Have you moved recently?
From the stores Terms of Sale...
+iTunes Store transactions will include sales tax based on the bill-to address and the sales tax rate in effect at the time your transaction is completed. If the sales tax rate for the billing address changes before the purchased or rented (as applicable) digital content is downloaded, the new tax rate in effect at the time of download will apply. We will only charge tax in states where digital goods are taxable. No customers are eligible for tax exemptions for transactions made on the iTunes Store.+

  • How long has a Mac been running?

    Hi,
I was just wondering if there is a quick way to figure out how many hours that your mac has been on. I know that S.M.A.R.T. records how many hours are on your HDD, but is there any easy way to access that info? TechTool used to gather that info off the PRAM battery of my old PB 5300 years ago...
    Thanks in advance!

Open up a Terminal window and write the command uptime and there you go. But it resets everytime you shut down your computer. I don't know how to find the total of uptimes.
    Cheers...

  • How long as your Macbook been in repair?

I gave mine to a genius on the 25th of august. Its been 15 days since that and it still isn't fixed yet, the status is "On hold-part on order" The applecare people I've talked to said it's waiting on a heatsink and top bezel thing. I was quoted 5-7 bussiness days and its been 11 so far.

Apple sent me a box, I sent it in on a Monday and had it back on Thursday. It seems taking it into an Apple Store takes longer for some reason. Call Customer Relations if you're not happy. That may speed things up.

  • How long has the current SPID/Agent Job been running

I have a SQL Agent Job that has 15 steps. Each step executes the same CLEANUP sproc against a database. STEP1 executes CLEANUP against DB1, STEP2 executes CLEANUP against DB2, etc. These 15 databases all have the exact same schema (that was the design
decision - not going to change).  The job can run for days. I want to have a MAXMINUTESTORUN configuration (probably set to 4 hours) that the sprocs will check and when that is exceeded the sprocs will nicely terminate and then pick up  again
the next time. I want to be able to ask in the sproc, how long has the spid/agent job been running. How is the best way to do this?

    Well, the idea for that,
the clean up always runs first on the database it never before and then it will run against the database that has oldest 'Lastrun". you can change this logic if you need.
Using the demo scripts above, try this ...after the scheduling the job.
    1. run the job once..it will run the procedure for testA
2.check the output of select * from msdb.dbo.cleanupjob
    3. run the job again..it will run the procedure for testB(the reason it picks this is because the cleanup procedure never ran for database testb)
4.check the output of select * from msdb.dbo.cleanupjob
    5. run the job again..it will run the procedure for testA(the reason it picks this is because the cleanup procedure ran for database testb atleast once and
will the pick the  oldest "last run " database)
6.check the output of select * from msdb.dbo.cleanupjob
you can also ,,replace this block
select top 1 @a= databasename from
    (select top 1 1 source,databasename from cleanupjob
    where (lastrun is null)
    union
    select top 1 2 source,databasename from cleanupjob
where (lastrun in (select min(lastrun) from cleanupjob where lastrun is not null))
    order by source) A
    with
    select top 1 @a=databasename from msdb.dbo.cleanupjob where isnull(lastrun,'19000101') in (select min(isnull(lastrun,'19000101')) from msdb.dbo.cleanupjob)
    order by id
    Hope it Helps!!

  • How long did your first wireless back up take??

After doing the initial back up via ethernet, how long did your first wireless back up take?? I can't seem to get past the preparing stage. However I have recently learned that the first time backing up wirelessly, the finder indexes the back up & this can take a while. I'm leaving it a little longer now. It has been preparing for about half an hour now.
    Is this normal?
How long does this indexing take?
    What are your experiences?
    Thanks.

So far for me it's been five days. I hooked up Time Capsule Thursday night, and after monitoring the progress for a few hours, I calculated that it should take three days, which I figured would mean that it should finish up by Sunday evening. (My MacBookPro had 103 gigs on it.)
It would have been nice if the instructions that came with the **** thing said something up front about hooking up via an ethernet cable for the initial backup. If I had seen those instructions before I started this nightmare, I might be done by now. Instead I started the backup wirelessly, which I'm sure accounts for some of the delay and hassle.
Unfortunately, the backup pace slowed steadily over the course of the weekend. By Saturday night, it had only done about 60 gigabyites, and by Sunday afternoon, it was only up to around 65. At that pace I figured I might be waiting another week before it finished, and since I actually take my computer with me when I leave my house, this would have deprived me of my computer for an unacceptable period. After doing some internet research and learning that using an ethernet cable would speed up the process, I therefore stopped the wireless backup, hooked up a cable, and restarted it at around 4 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
The backup then proceeded steadily at a faster (although not exactly zippy) pace. By midnight it had gotten through about 60 gigabytes, and after timing the rate at which it was proceeding by that time, I estimated that it should finish sometime around 8 p.m. tonight (Monday).
I left the computer along during the day while I ran errands away from home. When I got back around 6:30, it appeared to have finished the initial backup and to be in the process of finishing up an incremental backup. The progress bar said "backing up 12,443 items...51.3 MB of 51.3 MB." Unfortunately, it seems to be stuck there. It's now 8 p.m., and it still says it's working on those 51.3 MB. I don't know how much longer I should wait before deciding that it's frozen.
I'd like to just set this thing on fire. I bought the Time Capsule because I liked the idea of wireless, automatic backups. It was supposed to make my life easier, not make it a living ****.

  • Repair for Phone - How long has it taken other people?

    Hello, Everyone!
I am just seeing how long it has taken everyone else's repairs to take place on their phones? They've had mine for way longer than a month (was promised a turnaround time of 1 week)...and they said that I would be getting a replacement phone...but that they haven't sent it out and don't have a tracking number for me. I don't know how many weeks they've been saying this...but, the reasoning is supposedly that they're upgrading their support system. I know that if my company tried telling people that for as long as they've been telling me that...we'd have a rebellion on our hands.
Well..in the meantime my Motorola Q is growing on me more and more. I thought that I wanted a Palm Treo...so, I upgraded early from my Motorola Q early...but, with this type of service...I doubt I'll ever buy a Palm, again. I'll let all my friends and family know that...along with all of my Twitter, Facebook, and Blog buddies...unless if they can figure out how to be a customer-oriented company and get me my phone that I paid big money for...and can't use.
So, how long has it taken for your repair?
Post relates to: Treo 800w (Sprint)

    I have the same issue.
Sent it in twice for repairs and it was sorted quickly both times but as it still did not function properly I emailed support and was told to get it replaced.
Sent it in for the third time, to get the replacement and according to the SRO its been at Palm since 16th of april.
Ive emailed support about this twice and both times been told they can't do anything about it.
I then called and was told that it would be escalated but that they couldnt give me a time frame.
If they can test, repair and ship out a faulty unit within a working day how come they can't ship out a replacement in 3 weeks time?

  • How long did your MacBook Pro take to arrive?

My MBP is coming direct from Apple but as it was purchased via a reseller I have no tracking.
Its been over 9 working days already, but the apple site says 2-3 days is typical?
I'm soooo excited but its quickly turning to disappointment with every afternoon.
How long did yours take to arrive?

    Hi there,
When I ordered my custom MBP on June 25, it also said 2-3 days to ship. It shipped the 28th from China and arrived via FedEx on July 3rd. That was with standard shipping. I'm not sure if you used expedited shipping or not, but fyi, it is expedited only after going through customs - i.e. 2 day shipping will mean 2 days after going through customs. Depending on when you ordered, especially if you ordered right before or after Independence Day, it could be a day or two extra to process.
Good luck, and I hope you enjoy it when it finally arrives.
