How long is the "Preparing for Shipment" stage?

I ordered my Macbook Pro with Retina Display 2.6 Ghz, 16 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD on August 1st. It changed from "Processing" to "Preparing for Shipment" today (the 5th) a couple hours ago. I am wondering how long this stage has lasted for people who already have their new Mac's. I got the expidited 2-3 business day shipping, and they estimate August 14-16. They took the money out of my account a day ago. I am thinking that I might get it quicker than anticipated if it is already on the next stage.

expect to recieve it between the quoted delivery dates, and be suprised if it arrives earlier.  It's possible, but no one here can say for sure.

  • How long is the preparing for shipment (for iphone 4s)???

already one day, the status still in "preparing for shipment"...how long is the period between "preparing for shipment" untill "shipped"???....

    As long as it takes.
Frankly, this would be a question for Apple, not other users in this user to user support forum.

Normally, any Adobe trial version is good for at most 30 days.  There are circumstances where it can abruptly end earlier.

  • How long does the preparation take for ???

My order of late 2012 iMac 27" is now showing
    Preparing for Shipment
How long does it take for them to ship my iMac since the date of showing "Preparing for Shipment"?
(OMG...They're so slow...it seems taking them years...)

By about Dec 4th or 5th all of the 27" iMacs that would ship in the first 'batch' had been ordered.  Anyone ordering after that time would have to wait for the 2nd production run and there was/is no way to know just when the 2nd wave of iMacs would be ready to ship.
How long has your order been 'Preparing for Shipment'?  If it is more than a day or so I can certainly see why you are a bit disappointed and frustrated, I would be too.
The only consolation I can give is that the 27" is apparently a very good machine (mine certainly is) which will give you a lot of pleasure when it does arrive.

  • How long does the update for ios 7

How long does the update take on an ipad 2 for the ios 7?

The update has been going for 3 1/2 hours.  The screen is black, if I hit the on/off button, the screen comes up with Itunes symbol with the usb cord.  I assume it means I need to connect it to itunes through my computer.
I don't know if I lost my wifi connection during the update or not.
    Does that sound right?

  • How long is the "preparing" stage REALLY supposed to take on initial backup

Ok, I know that the initial back up takes a long time. I have read that on many occasions, but I have now left my TC and Laptop to bond for 16 hours now and it is still running the "preparing" stage. As some of you may know this is not the first problem I have had with the TC and the initial back up (please see http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1844195&tstart=0 if you are curious) and at least I have gotten to this "preparing" stage. Does anyone have any advice? I really do not want to start over as I am terribly afraid of going through the other problems again. I have read in some older posts to view the console log? Where can this be found? This is why I have not tried that yet. Thanks in advance for any replies!!

console app is found applications/utilities you can read the logs but you'll probably need a science degree in programming.
I just messed around with Time Machine in various ways:
MBP ethernet to TC preparing took less than 10 minutes less than 15 minutes using wireless N+B/G
less than 5 minutes using firewire 800 this is on a 188 gig backup

  • How long is the warranty for the Zen Mic

Can anyone tell me how long the warranty is for the Zen Micro? Thanks!

    SSR,
The year/90 days warranty is our standard for PDE devices to my knowledge. It does happen to be the warranty in the US; however some countries have laws requiring different warranty lengths. We don't do any warranties on current PDE products that are less than this to my knowledge.

  • How long is the wait for uptodate program?

I bought a macbook pro on 23rd July which is after Lion release, and it still shipped with Snow Leopard. Applied to the "uptodate" program on 24th, and it is now 1st of august! Nine days and waiting, and no response at all. What am I suppose to do?

I'm just wondering if there's a way to find out how long a wait to expect between each new episode of a show you've bought a season pass to?
Sorry but no, there isn't. The iTunes Store normally posts episodes as soon as they get the episodes from the producers (barring a technical problem with the video that would require the iTunes Store to request a new copy).
Since the show is screened weekly in my country, I can't see the reason for the 2 week+ wait. Any ideas?
Probably delays or problems at the production house.
If not, I can't seem to find a questions/complaints email address for iTunes Australia, can you point me in the right direction?
    http://www.apple.com/au/support/itunes/contact.html
Though there's probably nothing they can tell you, but it won't hurt to contact them as ask what's going on.

  • How long should the download for Maverick take?

I am updating to Mavericks and the download is going on for quite a while.  Since there is no progress bar (only the button which says "Downloading"), I am not sure if anything is happening.  How long should I wait?
    Thanks

It's almost 6 GB, and the download speed depends on your broadband connection. If you open LaunchPad, or look in the Applications folder for the installer, there will be a progress bar you can watch to see the status of the download.

  • How long are the batteries for the Apple Wireless Keyboard supposed to last

I have an Apple Wireless Keyboard using Bluetooth to connect to my MBP. I'm using the keyboard about 10–12 hours a day. The battery typically lasts for only a month or two. Is this a normal life, or should it last longer than that? I've heard of experiences in which the battery can last upwards of a year.

You might as well use the macbook pro keyboard or purchase a wired keyboard to save on a monthly battery bill.
If 2 or 3 bucks every 1-2 months is that big of an issue, I agree.
But I bought and use mine for convenience, and that convenience is worth far more than the $2-3 for 3 AA alkaline batteries I spend as needed, even if it were on a monthly basis. Of course, if the built in keyboard serves you better, or a wired KB, certainly that would be the way to go (though I'm not sure why one would purchase a BT AWKB if that were the case). Think of what you spend money on for convenience. $3 a month, or 10 cents per day, or less than a penny per hour, for the convenience you apparently want (you bought the KB) works fine from my perspective. I look at the cost for me to golf, bike, fish, canoe, camp, ski, snowboard, scuba dive, eat out, travel, buy electronics and furniture, vehicles, clothes, etc. etc. etc. and if I could get those down to a penny an hour . . . well, it isn't going to happen.

  • How long should the email for the upgrade take?

I sent in the request for the free upgrade to MLion early this morning since I bought my MacBook Pro June 17th, 2012.  I was curious if I should have gotten a response already or not?
I actually moved a couple of days ago and I used my new address instead of the one I had when purchasing the MB.
    Thanks,
    Nic

It has been more than 24 hours since i applied, and i still have not received my codes yet. i called the customer support this morning, and now i have been informed to wait for another 72 hours.
    not very happy about this.

I am taking photos at my niece's wedding in June and I want to play with the program some before I purchase it.  I was hoping the free trial is for 30 days, but I can't find it anywhere.  Thanks!

You can use one of these download links. You won’t need a product code until after 30 days.
