How long LDAP update changes in Jabber4W client

Hi.
My query is if I change my telephone number in Active Directory, it doesn't flow through to the Jabber client, unless I shut the client down, and reopen.
Fellow collegues still see the old telephone number until they do the same. We are on 9.2.1, and I was pretty sure it was almost instantaneous in prior version, even though the issue would lay with the CUPS / LDAP integration.
Could someone advise if they change an attribute in AD, how long it takes to flow through to the end user including collegues who are watching? Or am I missing something in config in CUPS server or something.

Thanks for your response. I've done some further testing and what I am experiencing with 9.2.1 client is.
1. I change telephone field in AD to new phone number.
2. I run a wireshark instance on my PC, with Jabber client.
3. In Jabber client, I do search on user who I just changed phone number.
4. Do view profile and it is still showing old details.
Now when I check the wireshark trace I can see the LDAP query from my PC to LDAP server and the response from LDAP server to my Jabber username search shows the new phone number just changed in the packet.
Therefore the Jabber client is searching the LDAP correctly and LDAP is sending the correct information, but Jabber client not updating the user details.
Last note if I shut the Jabber client and reopen, the new phone number will populate the user.
If anyone can do a test to see if they have the same experience with 9.2.1 client, just change a phone number in AD, and then do search on user and see if new number replicates.
I'm sure with previous versions it happened instantaneously???

    Logic 7 was never updated so as to provide any significant changes in workflow over its initial release. But apparently L7 so intrinsically broken that they abandoned any effort to fix it. Instead, they developed Logic 8.
    L8 has some very obvious bugs, yes. They need to be fixed yesterday. But as usual, Apple is dragging its feet in this regard.
    To your question, how long.... well, L7 updates occurred about every 4 months. There's no telling if they'll be on a more conscientious schedule for releasing L8 updates. They only offer end-users one choice: wait and see what happens.

    It is the Genius Bar in the Apple store.  You need to make an appointment or you will be waiting a long, long time.  Remember, the iPhone warranty is not international, so if the phone was not purchased in the US it will not be serivced.

  • How to Transport OMT3R changes to other Clients.

    I have done the changes to MM01 Screen sequence using transaction OMT3R.
    But while saving it did not ask for transport request.
    Transport option is grayed out and not able to know include it to any transports.
    Can any one tell me how to inlcude this changes into a Transport Request and move it to other clients?

    Hi Madhu,
    the values of tcode OMT3R ('Maintain Order of Main and Additional Screens') are saved in database table T133D ('Sequence Control forLogical Screens').
    If these values are missing on the target system, note 108059 ('Transport of Customizing settings made in OMT3') applies. Please proceed as described there to transport table T133D, too.

    When you add a new episode it usually takes the Store 1-2 days to display it - sometimes it can be shorter or longer, it's just a matter of luck. Subscribers see new episodes immediately because their iTunes application reads the feed directly, whereas the Store caches the feed and visits it periodically to check for changes.

    I have Cloud Control 12c Release 3 set up and monitoring many hosts and targets. However when monitoring my RAC (2 nodes), it cannot connect to the database instances (although it shows them as up). I get the message "IO Error: The Network Adapter could not establish the connection". I can see that the connect descriptior is using the vip, rather than the hostname.
    How can I update the connect descriptor within Cloud Control to the correct values?

    I hope I have understood the "termonology" here - if not sorrry
    Having had ongoing issues with very slow (250kb) connection speed we at long last got an openreach engineer out on Monday morning who did work on the line and the master socket in the house and he said that he was then getting about 650kb.
    Before he came out the downstream attainable rate on the router was about 250kb and the upsteam attainable rate about 250kb.  Speed tests agreed roughly with these figures.  Now the upsteam Attainable Rate on the router is 768kb and the downsteam 644kb but speed tests are showing downstream of only 125kb and upsteam of 370kb.  I have been running the speed tests at various times of the day since Monday and the results have been consistant.
    The engineer said that it could take a couple of days to settle down to the new speed and from reading various things I believe this is my IP profile that needs to work out the new connection speed and this can take a few days to settle down.  What I am wondering is there anything that can be done to hurry this process along or do we have to live with what we have at the moment till it happens automatically?
    I reset the router last night but that did not make any difference.

    Which speedtest have you been using?  The one at speedtester.bt.com will show what your current IP profile, which should be 500Kbps for your current sync rate. What is it at the moment ?

    IP profile changes happen depending on the size of the change. Large percentage increases should happen very quickly - a matter of hours. Small increases can take up to 5 days.

    IP profiles sometimes get "stuck", in which case you'll need to contact Support and persuade them to initiate whatever process they use to get it unstuck..

    I recently purchased a new iMac and want to use iCloud to share calendars between it, my iPhone and iPad. My iPhone has the updated calendar but so far only 2 of 9 calendars have transferred over. Does any one know why and how I can get it all to sync together? Or when it will?

    On your iMac, open System Preferences > iCloud
    Deselect the box next to: Calendars and Reminders then re select it.
    On your iOS devices, tap Settings > iCloud
    Switch Calendars & Reminders off then back on.
    Give iCloud a few mintues to re sync the data.

    I just got my iPod mini restored at the apple store and when I plugged the iPod into iTunes it told me to update it. I have used the iPod updater before but I don't remember it taking this long. It has been updating for close to 3 hours, is that to long?

    Formatting (because that's what it's doing) the iPod shouldn’t take any longer than a few minutes.
    First of all, try clicking on the little x in the top corner, which might take you to the next stage in the process. Sometimes it gets stuck.
    If this doesn’t work, shut down the computer, disconnect the iPod, restart the computer, run the updater again, and connect the iPod when prompted.

    I have just started to update my ipad2 to IOS5. It has been connected for over two hours now and doesn't seem to be going anywhere.
    The ipad does not have much on it only a few emails.
    All my photos seem to have dissapeared.

    I have the original ipad, so i can give you my experience.
    It will take a while, but not 2 hours. Also, i hope you did a backup before updating. With mine, even with a backup, everything went back to original state. But once I synced, it reloaded my photos and music fine. The applications did not. A few reloaded, and even some i never had on my system. But... When i went to the app store, the ones i had, reloaded at no charge. For example, PAGES didn't show up when i reloaded, so i thought i lost all my documents. But once i did the download again, it was free and all my docs were there. When i updated originally, the app reload seemed like nothing was happening . So i cancelled and reloaded one at a time and it worked fine. I think it was having trouble downloading too many at once.
    So, the ios 5 load and sync took about 30 minutes, but the apps and reload of data took longer. I had about 300 songs, 3 movies, 150 photos, 10 documents and about 50 apps. I hope this helps.

    I started my update yesterday at 5PM and it is still going this morning at 8:45AM.  I have heard this update can take a while since it affects many applications but am not sure this is norma.  The progress bar shows 99.999% completion.  Any recommendations?

    I’d downloaded the combo update from Apple, and I think that installing that had completed within ten minutes or so. You can try holding down the power button for several seconds to force your MacBook Pro to shut down, but I would recommend it starting it up for the first time after that in Safe mode to ensure that the forced shutdown didn’t leave your filesystem in a damaged state. (You can then restart from the Apple menu to get back into normal mode.)

    Hello, it's my first time backing up my iphone.  I have 1.57GB Free space on a 13.75GB.  It's an iphone4.  

    Disregard what Chris has told you.  He's reffering to how long an update should take.  It will all depend on your computers processing speed.  Could take an hour depending on what is stored to the phone.  If you have very few Apps, but have 2000 photos, it could take longer cause each file, or photoe is individually sent.  If you have recordings, whether video or voice, those also take a bit longer, in some cases as long as the recording itself.  But generally speaking if you back up often, as you should at least once a week, it should run for about 3-7 minutes.

    I am waiting for the reply from customer on the above questions.
    Assuming that customer is using the ‘Manually Assigned Approver’-Execl-Upload to define the
    approver of each employee, I have recommended to use the RLU-replication, that is available since 1302 release, in order to replicate line management structures into CfTE if line manager approval is required. The replication can be done manually or automatically depending on their process.

    Apps are DRM protected and tied to the account used to originally obtain them. They cannot be transferred to another iTunes account nor updated using another iTunes account. Only the account used to obtain them can be used to update them. You can contact iTunes support, explain the situation & ask that they add these apps to the download queue of your new account:
