How long should downloading Design & Web trial take?

I'm downloading the trial version of CS6 Design and Web Premium for the second time. The first time I downloaded this it took a long time to download and it didn't work, i'm guessing it was because I had it downloading in the wrong place. I have a Macbook Pro and I downloaded the ADA in my user file.
I am connected to wifi and I have a really good connection and my computer is new so there isn't anything on here to slow anything down. It's been a couple hours since I started the download and it has only downloaded 25% and it says it has 6 more hours to go. Is it supposed to take that long?

it depends on your download speed.
the download can't be more than 9.5gb because that's the space needed to install.  so, if you have a 1mb/s connection that would be less than 3 hours.

  • HT5262 How long should the icloud back up take?

How long should the iCloud back up take? I only have 4gb of storage but it has taken almost an hour already with approximately 2 hours remaining.

    Hi RMaskery14,
If you are concerned about the time your iCloud backup is taking, you may find the following article helpful:
My backup is taking a long time to finish.
Backing up and restoring takes time, especially if you have a lot of data or a slow connection. Depending on the size of your backup and the speed of your network, you may need more time than expected to complete the process. Using a reliable connection when backing up your device is highly recommended.

  • How long should download take?

Started to download Mountian Lion at 10 am. It is still showing downloading. How long should this take?

It's a little over 4 gigs in size.  Depends on your connection speed.

  • How long should a RAID 5 rebuild take?

OK, so I have an EX4 with 4 x 3TB RED disks in it.All used and configured in a RAID 5 setup. One disk failed, so I was able to send it away for replacement.  It took about 2 weeks which wasn't too bad because I could continue to use the NAS without it.  I had access to all my data, no problems.... well done RAID 5. So, now I have the new replacement disk returned to me.I insert it in the bay (bay 3) and off it goes rebuilding the RAID volume.Message on the LCD saying the system is busy, and message on the dashboard saying the system is busy and to waid until the LED turns solid blue before inserting another drive.  It stays like this for 2 days.... and then the LCD just shows the name of my NAS, but the blue LED is still flickering.  The dashboard still tells me to wait for the LED to stop flickering before adding another disk. I don't want to add another disk.  I just want to use my NAS and access my data.  I don't really understand why I can use it without the drive in there, but as soon as I insert a new drive and it starts to rebuild the volume, I cannot access any of my data.  I thought the idea of hot-swap drives was that you could swap them over without turning the system off and keep working.Any idea how long it will take before I can access my data?thanks,lew66.

  • How long should the Repository Creation Utility take for Oracle Portal?

I'm running the Oracle Repository Creation Utility (RCU) as a precursor to installing WebCenter, and the schema creation process is stuck on the "Portal" step. The first 10-12 steps each took less than 30 seconds to complete, and the last step has been going for 2 hours 14 minutes.
I checked the rcu log files, and they are constantly being updated with new progress information as though the process is still working. I haven't been able to find anyone else on the internet with this problem. From various screenshots on google, it looks like it can complete in under 10 minutes in some cases.
    Thanks,
    Dave

Is it showing some error ?
Check with DB settings and parameters properly.Usaully it should not take long time to complete.Possible chances are corrupt rcu file.I would suggest download again the RCU and re-run it.
Anyways in which version of DB you are trying to install ?(vendor and version).
Which version of RCU you are using ?

  • How long should the apple protection plan take to register?

it says it has been registering since yesterday

Are you referring to Apple Care?  It should update within a minute.
Where did you buy it?  You have to be careful if you got a code from eBay or similar "retailers"...

  • How long should Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 take to install?

I have a MacBook Pro and currently the installation for Photoshop on my computer has taken over 2 hours and it's barely half-way through installation with 296 minutes left until completion. When I tried to cancel the installation to start again, nothing happend, and it won't let me quit out of the window either. Anyone know what might be wrong with the program and/or what I can do to fix it?

You might try copying the install files to your hard drive and then try installing again.  If you receive a disc error it would indicate a failure in the install media or your optical drive.  If that happens I would recommend that try copying the files to another computer to narrow down if it is a failure with your optical drive or the media.

  • About how long should it take to burn slideshow onto a DVD w/ duo core iMac

I posted this under in the general forum and rec'd no responses. Perhaps I should have started here....
    Q. About how long should I expect it to take my iMac to convert, then Burn an iPhoto slideshow (comprised of 130 338kb pictures) onto a DVD? I've done this twice (from iPhote, going to Share, then clicking "DVD") and each time it has worked perfectly. However, it seems to take about an hour or more to complete. Is this normal/ expected?? Please understand that this is my first Mac and I've never had a PC w/ a DVD burner, so I'm not sure what to expect. ..I tried running a search for the question but came up empty.
    Thanks!

I am also doing one right now and it is taking awhile.
The images are very large though, 1 mb each.
They look great, but the transfer from iPhoto to iDvd is taking forever.
    Is when your system lags?
I am topped out with 2gigs of ram and 2.0 ghz intell chip.
    iMac CD 20", 2.0 GhZ, 2.0 Gb ram   Mac OS X (10.4.5)

  • HT201274 I backed up my iPhone 4 last night, and started the erase contents and settings 4 hrs. ago. How long should it take to complete the erase? Will it automatically be restored?

I backed up my iPhone 4 last night on iCloud, and started the erase all content and settings a little over 4 hrs. ago. How long should I expect it to take to complete this process? Will it automatically do a restore on my phone? The reason I had to do this was because my iPhone 4 would not upgrade the latest IOS. Thanks for any information! Karnysue

Something has gone wrong. That should have happened almost instantly. Force the phone into recovery mode & restore it:
Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don't see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new.

  • Sync time? How long should it take?

I have just finished a big project of copying most of our classical CDs in lossless into iTunes.
About how long should I expect it to take to sync 60GB onto my 160GB iPod Classic? There is presently about 15GB on the iPod that will have to be compared to the new material.
Thanks in advance for your help,
    Mrs H

My hubby and I have an older computer also. I believe that load time is affected by slowwer older computers too. (We have officially named our computer "Frakenstein". We say that its an old man with missing outer shell parts. lol) I load songs a little at a time. A lot of times, no more than about 3 albums at a time. Since our computer is a little slower than most, iTunes has been known to freeze for at least a minute before completeing a transfer. It snaps out of it tho. What's really annoying but that I live with (for right now) is me being impatient and clicking more than once to play a song and it restarting several times before actually playing through. lol That's ok...for now. We plan on upgrading real soon. Hopefully somewhere around Christmas.
    Blessings!

  • How long should it take to download Mountain Lion?

How long should it take to download and install Mountain Lion?  I have been downloading it for about 5 hours and it still has 1 gig to go.  My current OS X is 10.7.4

It depends on what bottlenecks you have interposed.
If you have a fast Ethernet connection, not cable Internet, that is not throttled by your ISP, and are using fast Ethernet on your local network, you should be able to download in about an hour.
If you are transmitting it over your wireless connection, it may take substantially longer.

  • HT4718 am trying to install OS X Lion for the first time. So far it has been downloading for about 2 hours. How long should it take?

    Can anyone help please?
Lion download to iMac has been running for about 2 hours and is still not halfway yet. How long should it take? should I cancel and start again?

1500Kbs is 1.5Mbs. That is Kilo bits per second. There are 8 bits to a byte so if you divide 1500 (or 1,500,000) by 8 you get 187500 bytes a second. Divide 3.5GBs (3,500,000,000), that capitol B is for Bytes, by that 187500 you get 18666.666 seconds. Which needs to be divided by 60 to get the minutes and then again by 60 to get the hours.
    5.1851xxx hours.
I use to have a 3Mbs DSL connection and it took me over 3 hours to download Lion. Now that I have a 19Mbs Cable connection it take about an hour to download and install.
So wait it will happen eventually. If you cancel and start again your are still going to wait 5+ hours.

  • Downloaded and installed os x yosemite and now mac book pro will not restart? How long should this take? Is there something wrong? Please helpthanks in advance

MAc book pro. I have downloaded and installed os x yosemite now mac book pro will not start? How long should it take? Is there something wrong?

The 2 computers here took about 45 minutes to an hour each.
The best thing to do is give it more time. If it gets too ridiculous, shutdown using the power button and then restart. Check  menu/About This Mac to see if it is installed.
