How long should it take to setup iTunes match on apple tv

I have about 300 cd's in iTunes Match. Cant seem to get apple tv to complete setting up iTunes match. Ideas? Or is it house that I have to wait?

I kind of gave up as I had other things to do. Had run about 30 minutes and never said anything other than "this might take a while". I have access to iTunes match on my macbook, my iPad, my iPhone, just would like to have it on the Apple TV so its easier for my wife to navigate our library when i am not around.

I have a large (roughly 20k) iTunes library and after managing to get it synced on my laptops and phone (no small feat, required a network upgrade) now I can't seem to get it to load on Apple TV. My question is whether this needs to be a long single session update or will Apple TV work on it every time I try it and just get it done a month or two from now?

It needs to be done in a single session. If you've been turning it off then it's having to rescan your library each time. If your router is in a different space then that will also impact performance. Try setting the sleep to never and give it some time.

iTunes Match is a service. There is no software to download or upload. What is happening is your iTunes library is being mirrored in the cloud by iTunes comparing what is in your library to what is availble on the iTunes Store. Any tracks that are not "purchased" or "matched" will be uploaded. How long the process takes is dependent on the size of your iTunes library and the upload speed of your internet connection. Based on these two things the process can takes hours, days, or weeks. Just be patient.

I'm trying to download a movie using Apple TV. Screem says Ready to play in 10 hours 58 minutes. However, the time changes to various different times such as 15 hours then 9 hour then 20 hours.
Am I using up my minutes as it is loading? Should it take this long to load?

Download times for purchases & rentals from the iTunes Store will vary depending on the speed of your internet connection. The Apple TV will regularly recalculate your estimated time to download based on the current download speed that it is seeing. You may find the following article useful:

I did some check on available sources on the topic and it seems that the app data is often causing a slow backup:

I believe lots of iPhone users, that experiencing slow backups, have problems with one or many Apps that are leaking in terms of saving tons of tiny files to the iPhone, especially when they have a lot of Apps and when they did backups cross devices (i.e. iPhone 2G to iPhone 3GS).

DFSR - This member is waiting for initial replication for replicated folder SYSVOL Share - How long should it take?

Yesterday we were forced to perform a non-authoritative sync of the SYSVOL folder as replication had stopped because one of the DCs had been disconnected from it's replication partner for more than 60 days (caused by a unexpected shutdown and we did not
pick up on the fact replication had stopped until now).
I performed the non-authoritative sync of the SYSVOL folder and now the folder is in state 2
ReplicatedFolderName ReplicationGroupName State
SYSVOL Share Domain System Volume 2
and has been for more than 12 hours. The DFS replication health report, reports "This member is waiting for initial replication for replicated folder SYSVOL Share".
How long should it take and is there anyway to force it so that replication can resume?

Eveything is passing, except for the bits about the SystemLog and DFRS, all seems good to me.
Event 2213 is in the logs. I will look and changing the MaxOfflineTimeInDays and see if that gets it going.

I have an RVS-4000 and it sends me error message by email on errors. Yet I do not have any documentation on what these error messages mean. I asked these question last May and still have not received any answers.
I was told it had been forwarded to a engineer for creatation of this documentation in May. Here we are...
Do any of you agree we need this type of documentation on our Routers? I think it should have been created before these where sold and included with these Routers. Maybe if we all voted on it. Then It might still happen?

Restore Ipod? How Long Should This Take?

I received my replacement iPod back from Apple this afternoon. As a Windows 2000 user, I followed the instructions provided to reset the iPod for Windows. Namely to install the latest updater, restart PC, run updater... connect iPod and select Restore when the box became available.
The message then popped up saying Your iPod has been restored to factory settings and is restarting. Please leave the iPod connected and wait while it completes the restore process.
Just how long should this take? I hit restore at 14:15pm UK time, it's now 22:15 and it's still sat there with the same message, iPod blinking Do Not Disconnect and seemingly nothing else happening. Should it be restarted by now?
If it helps, am running Win 2000 SP4, used iPod updater 11-17-05, PC has 192mb RAM and is PIII 600Mhz.
Any help/advice greatly appreciated!

I clicked the X. It told me application couldn't be cancelled. Shut down PC anyway. Disconnected iPod. Apple logo shows up. Battery charger image shows, so I connected it to the mains charger... it sat there, thought about it and told me it was fully charged! Is now sat here quite happily accepting tunes from my iTunes library!
Thanks ever so much for the help, really appreciate it! Going to work tomorrow will seem more worthwhile having music to listen to!
