How many 23" ACDs can 15" macbook pro support? 1 or 2?

as title. thanx in advance

The MacBook Pro can support one external DVI display. I'm using mine right now with a 23" Cinema HD. No extra cables, fuss or muss.

  • How many songs/films can a macbook pro hold?

I am thinking of getting a macbook (i curently have a dell laptop) and wondered how manys songs/films a macbook can hold before it will effect its performance.

With a Solid State Disk, there isn't a performance issue if it gets filled up, nor does defragmenttion have a effect, however they are expensive in larger sizes and will wear out faster if they are filled up most of the way or any lots of writes. SSD's are very fast but have limited write capability.
A Hard Drive comes in large sizes and thus can hold more at less expensive price, it's scrubable (unlike SSD's) of unwanted sensitive data, it's not shock proof like SSD's. Hard drives are not at fast as SSD's however they are fast enough for most people as RAM amount is really the speed king. They have unlimited write capability.
A hard drive's performance starts to suffer as soon as data is written to the second 50% of the drive as the amount of sectors in each inner track gets less and less the further you get to the center.
Hard drives write their data on the outter fastest tracks and works it's way in, so OS X and programs are usually up front and users files work their way in.
Hard drives usually require a defrag, more so on Windows and less so on OS X (for most) video and audio pro's usually require a defrag to free up drive space and a Zero erase of free space to map off bad sectors because of their large files.
If your into audio and video, a 7,200 RPM hard drive is better for playback than a stock 5,400 RPM drive, it's usually best to get twice as much hard drive space as your ever going to need.
With either a SSD or a hard drive, you need to keep 10% free space for OS X swap space etc., if it's not there the machine will refuse to boot.
If you have sensitive data, then you require a hard drive. If your wallet is fat and there is a large SSD available (500GB - 1TB) and you don't care about not being able to delete unwanted data, then get a SSD.
Since music and movie files are of different sizes, compressions etc., we can't say X or Y amount of songs or videos can be held.
However most of my 8.000 Mp3 193 kps songs are about 7 MB in size each.

  • About how many years would the integrated macbook pro w/retina batteries last before they required replacement service?

About how many years would the integrated macbook pro w/retina batteries last before they required replacement service?

It is entirely dependent upon how the batteries are used ( with a little bit of luck).  There is no specific time period that any one can provide.
Here you will find some detailed information on Apple batteries and their care:

  • How do I tell if my MacBook Pro supports 802.11n 5GHz?

As I wait for my Apple Extreme Base Station, I was wondering if it would make sense to create two different SSID networks. One Mixed b/g for 2.4GHz devices and another one solely for 5GHz. I know my ATV2 supports 802.11n in 5GHz. As I go down my list of devices in my house, I can't tell if my MacBook Pros support the 5GHz. Both MacBook Pros are Mid 2010 models.
The reason for creating two different networks is that the AEBS downgrades your network based on the lowest device (i.e. b/g would be forced on a n device if such device connects to your network).

Of course, you are aware that n operates in both 2.4 and 5GHz.
Check AirPort in System Profiler. It should list supported modes and supported channels. Then compare supported channels to the list of WLAN channels in the 5GHz band.

  • How many HDD space can a Macbook support. (E.G. 1TB?)

I am gg to upgrade my HDD myself but i do not know can my macbook support if i install a 1TB hdd. Can anyone help?

It depends on which MacBook you have. The unibody MacBooks (Aluminum or late '09+ White) can handle a 1TB drive. If it's the White or Black pre-late '09 (non-unibody), then the largest right now is 750GB.

  • How many VGA monitors a new Mac Pro Support?

I want to connect 6 vga or dvi monitors.
I'm sorry, translation via google translate
Mac pro ordered, paid money. Now I worry that I won't be able to connect 6 vga monitors. I already have 6 vga of monitors, don't want to buy 6 thunderbolt monitors

  • Can my Macbook Pro support dual boot and Secret World

    Hi
My MacBook Pro has the following specs
Processor  2.8 GHz Intel Core i7
    Memory  4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Graphics  Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB
    Software  Mac OS X Lion 10.7.4 (11E53)
I was wondering if it can first of all, support dual boot, because I would like to play a Windows based MMORPG. And I was wondering if there are risks involved? I'm also worried because I like Mac's secure delete trash function and won't having a Windows platform affect that?
Furthermore, can it support playing Secret World with such specs?
Secret World is an MMORPG I'm not sure what the minimum requirements are.. It doesn't say, but anyone has a guess?
    -EDIT
OS:      Windows XP (SP 1)/Vista (SP 1)/Windows 7 (SP 1)
PROCESSOR:      2.6 GHZ Intel Core 2 Duo or equivalent AMD CPU
MEMORY: At least 2GB RAM for Windows XP / 3GB RAM for Windows Vista and Windows 7 *
VIDEO CARD:     nVidia 8800 series 512 VRAM or better/Radeon HD3850 512MB or better
    DIRECTX: DirectX 9.0c Compatible

If you have an MBP with a Core 2 Duo processor and a clock speed of 2.16 or 2.33 GHz, your max is 3 GB. If you have a 2.2, 2.4, 2.5 or 2.6 GHz clock speed your max is 4 GB.
Check Apple menu > About this Mac for processor type and speed.
I can tell you what you should see - C2D at 2.16 or 2.33 GHz. Those machines have a 3 GB max stated by Apple, but will actually use ~3.2 GB if you have 2 x 2 GB installed, and you get the (marginal) benefit of having a matched pair. In that case, it's also 'normal' for About this Mac to show 4 GB even though the memory controller can only access a little over 3 GB.

  • Can a Macbook pro support high graphic games? (like crysis2 and thesims3)

My dad was considering getting me a Macbook Pro for my exam present, but i was worried if i get one I wont be able to play the games i got...

I have a MBP 13" 2,3 hz, late 2011 sandy brige edition. I can run COD4 pretty well, but it really cant handle the new games like BF3 and such.
So i would also say that you need a MBP with a dedicated grafix card, witch the 15" and the 17" models have.
But again you prob. will have to run most games in bootcamp mode, where you have installed windows as a second system, since i dont think you can get the games you mention for mac, only for windows.

  • Can my macbook pro support 8gb of ram?

My computer has started to lag a little bit, so i was thinking of upgrading the ram from 4gb to 8gb.
Here are some facts about my MacBook Pro:
2.4 Intel Core 2 Duo Processor
    4gb Ram currently installed
    running on Lion
    2 years old
I am thinking about putting this ram in:

Thanks for the help and advice !

I don't know because the only info they provide is a part number. You would have to go to the mfgr.'s website to find out the actual specification. It appears to be OK but I would get the real specs for it.
I would consider it wiser to trust my RAM purchases to OWC or DataMem. Brand isn't of any importance but the reliability of the vendor is. Be sure whatever you buy carries a manufacturer's lifetime warranty.

  • How many operating systems can a MacBook support?

I wanted to know if a MacBook can support more than 2 operating systems as I wished to have a Windows OS for some applications in addition to OSX and Linux in which I have to primarily work.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
You can install as many operating systems as you want, but if you install Windows, you can't install another operating system because Boot Camp needs two volumes on the hard drive.
I recommend you to install Linux in a virtual machine instead of on a partition if you want to use Windows

  • How many Hard Drives can a G4 DA Support?

Hi. I'm putting an old G4 466MHz Digital Audio to use as a file server but I want to make sure I don't over strain the power supply or something worse.
I currently have a Sonnet Tempo SATA card in one PCI slot running 2 hard drives (1.5tb and 160gb) as well as two IDE hard drives of 80gb. The book disk is one of the SATAs.
Would I be able to fit as many as 8 hard drives (2 per card x 4 cards) or would that be too much of a drain? Would it help if one of the IDE drives was used as the boot disk leaving all the SATAs for storage or would that make no difference?
    Thanks.

    Hi-
4 drives is all that the machine was meant to use.
One might squeeze another drive or two in, but more than power, the heat of the drives will probably be the problem.
Overheating a PSU makes reliable power production more difficult, and with multiple drives demanding that power, the problem compounds quickly.
It doesn't matter native ATA or SATA.
    All the drives pull power.
Go all SATA, and use 1.0 TB drives (or bigger) and you won't need 8 drives......

  • How do i view photos in macbook pro, and while viewing how can i delete the unwanted photos with delete button?

1 My questions are about viewing and managing photos from a folder.
    a. How do i view photos in macbook pro - i know the space bar thingy but does not help my purpose?
    b. While viewing how can i delete the unwanted photos with delete button?
    c. How can i increase the size of the photos that i am seeing in the form of icons?

double clicking in iPhoto will open the photo.
The left and right arrow key will move between photos, as well as swiping on a trackpad or Apple mouse.
See >System Preference>Trackpad or mouse  for options and tut
While selected or in the smaller icon view hitting the Delete key will delete the pic.
Command Z will undo the last action taken.
Periodically you have to empty the iPhoto trash.  iPhoto drop down menu>empty trash
Same applies for viewing pics in a Folder NOT in iphoto,  Use the up and down arrows does not work in Preview, but as you know in QuickLook (spacebar) the up and down arrows will navigate.
