I was thinking about switching to an iPad and I was wondering how many apps the app store has for iPad?

Worldwide, there are somewhere around 275,000 (give or take), but not all apps are available in all locations, as well as apps optimized for iPhone that will still work on an iPad.

There's no way to give a number since it depends on the size of the apps. Some are quite small, but some take up a lot of space. I have apps as small as 7MB and some well over 300MB, and I'm sure those are by no means the largest apps that exist. So there's no way we can really answer your question other than to say that after taking into account the amount of space the OS and bundles apps take up and the difference in how the capacity is listed between technical specs and what an operating system can use, a 32GB iPad will have about 28GB of usable capacity.

I have an Itunes account with credit. But have been download many apps, games and book to my account. I also delete some games and apps that not function as i expect from my ipad. But Apple never delete all purchase history from my account. So it mean Apple limit my download limit? How many apps and games can i download to my account?

I'm not aware of any limit. And no, any item that you download will not be deleted from your purchase history.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
I find it hard to believe that this information isn't clearly available somewhere, but it isn't and I don't think I've seen anyone here who is 100% sure. However, I believe you can have up to 10 associated devices, which include authorised computers (of which you can have up to 5), I suspect the Apple TV might become a temporary associated device while it's in use, but I'm not entirely sure myself.

Most likely as many as your want, unless you download apps with tons of data, such as a mapping application, or a app that include lots of built-in images, or its own built-in video.
Otherwise you can most likely have all the apps you want.
My iPod touch is using 5.8GB for apps, and I have 213 apps on my iPod Touch. 80% of them I do not use after downloading them. Of the remaining 20% most are infrequently used, a small handfull are used maybe once or twice a week, and about 7 are used daily.
NOTE: Of the apps I have on my iPod Touch, one is Stanza an eBook reader, and I have 398 ebooks in that app.
However, all bets are off, if you decide later you are going to download any videos, or music (or audio books), or family picture, all of which consume space at a higher rate.

We're an agency from brazil, an we are developing some apps. How many apps single or multi-folio can we have on DPS and on Apple Store at the same time? Is there a limit on the Professional Edition?
Can my downloads be divided by many apps? eg. Can I have 2 apps at the same time and they share my 5000 annual .folio downloads?

There is no limit to the number of apps you can create within DPS Pro or Enterprise. The distribution bundle will be shared amongs all your multi-folio apps.

This question does not allow a straightforward question, as it turns out. Apps vary widely in the amount of space that they require. Taking the operating system into account, you actually have about 6.4 GB of space to work with.
The 6.4 GB of space will be shared among all of your media, including apps. When you browse apps, you can check out the size of each app right from the App store. Just tap on the app and scroll to the app's information.

Show how many apps a developer has in Itunes

In Itunes 10, I was able to see how many apps a developer has in Appstore, it showed a number. Is there a way to see that number in Itunes 11?

If you are using iTunes 11 (check by clicking in the menu bar while in the application iTunes > About iTunes), then you can click (again in the menubar) View > Show Status Bar or by pressing "Command /" (Command key and forward slash. This will then display the size of your playlist, how long it will take to play etc at the bottom of the iTunes window.

OK, i have a 2.0 MBP and i was just wondering how many apps i can have open without it shutting down or whatever. I also have 2 gigs of RAM.

I am not aware of the MacBook shutting down because of running too many programs. Clearly, if you open "too many" programs/windows, the laptop (or any computer) will become more sluggish. I always operate with five to ten programs running at the same time--with more windows that that "open." Has not been much of an issue with 2 GB of RAM. But I have noticed that if you have a significant number of Safari windows open (while operating a number of other programs at the same time), things can start to slow down. Is there any real downside to you experimenting (stress testing) your computer?

I have one and yeah, as others have mentioned, it depends what apps you're putting on it. However, I have found myself extremely restricted by the 8GB limit. I can only put about a single home screen's worth of new apps on my iPod without it running out of space, and that was after deleting all music, photos, and videos. So... I definitely recommend getting a larger capacity.
