There's no way to give a number since it depends on the size of the apps. Some are quite small, but some take up a lot of space. I have apps as small as 7MB and some well over 300MB, and I'm sure those are by no means the largest apps that exist. So there's no way we can really answer your question other than to say that after taking into account the amount of space the OS and bundles apps take up and the difference in how the capacity is listed between technical specs and what an operating system can use, a 32GB iPad will have about 28GB of usable capacity.

I have around 400 apps and was wondering if they can all fit on my iPhone. I've put them into folders and only have 3 pages but my other apps won't sync into the phone. It says I have 379 apps in the about section but I only have around 100 on my phone that's actually visible. When I'm syncing, I can see the pages of apps on the computer but when the syncing has finished, there are no apps there. Please help!!

16 folders per page, 12 apps per folder, 11 pages - that gives you 2112. After that the apps will continue to load, but on the pages you will only be able to see in iTunes on your computer, but can still use on the iPhone using the search facility. You have a way to go yet...

When folders were introduced you were limited to 12 apps in a folder. Has that changed? I have found on my ipad 2 running ios 4.3 I have some folders with up to 18 apps in them. I don't know if I missed this update or what but I was just wondering when you were able to go past 12 apps in a folder.

pics that first 'alerted' me to be concerned about my software investiment: Adobe InDesign CS5 has reported problems and a 'problem' about some updates, like with Adobe, is you have to pay money to update, like to CS5.5 or CS6 to 'cure' the problem -- and other than compatibility I have no reason or desire to update.
Scrivener, btw, has been excellent about updating and improving their product for both Mountain Lion and retinia and keeping it's customers very well informed; they should get an award.
I'm a bit hesitant about the statement, though, "you never had a problem," -- well, Mountain Lion has been out for exactly one day. That's not quite a long term 'never' - one day.
Chrome, btw, has many, many reports of crashing although you also 'never had a problem.'
Although I now see that it is a problem on some of the new Mac laptops; a Search for 'google chrome crashing mac' will bring up many hits and explainations.
STRANGELY ENOUGH - I'm totally happy with my Lion Desktop and $5K of apps working perfectly but in the market to buy a Mac laptop...which maybe is why I became aware of Chrome issue, retina issues (OWC has a good recent podcast about this) and now very cautious abut Mountain Lion.
What I now think I might do is get the laptop (with Mountain Lion) but keep my Desktop the same and slowly, over time, one by one, move the apps I want over onto the laptop and see if they work okay.
Yea..since I was in the market for my first laptop, this might be a good path for me.
P.S. - I like the new Safari. Only had to update/patch two extensions....

This indicated Nik plug-in for Photoshop okay in Lion but not know if work in Mountain Lion yet (it's only been on the market for us all for just one day, after all). -- And I vividly recall the major hassle when going from 32-bit computing to 64-bit computing and many photo, video and audio unit plug in's need to be updated -- and, like Adobe, not all update solutions are generously free.

You can have up to 11 screens on the iPad.
Swipe from screen to screen. Look in folders or do a search. Swipe to the right from the home screen and type the name of the app in the search field at the top. If it shows up - it is on the iPad.

How many do you have now? There is a limit to the number of home pages you can have that will limit how many apps will be displayed, but that does not limit the ability to add more. It just means they will not be displayed. You can use the search function to locate them, however.

If you synced it many times, you have to have a backup. It's just a question of how old that backup is now. When did you last sync?
First of all launch iTunes on your computer and go to Edit>Preferences>Devices. Do you see any backups for you iPad in that window? If so, how new is the newest backup? That will be the backup that you will want to use. But remember that if you use that backup and it is one month old, you can only restore from that date back in time. Anything that you did on the iPad in the past month will not be in that backup.
Turn on the new iPad Minin and start activating OTA via WiFi. You will get to a certain point in the process where you will be given the choice to Set up as new, Restore from iCloud - or Restore from iTunes. You will want to select Restore from iTunes.
That is the short and sweet version. There are step by step instructions in this article. This applies to the mini as well as the iPad 4 or the iPad 3 for that matter.

Yes, it will now always show that you purchased it, but with it deleted from ipad, when yu click the icon to download again, it will download the latest versioon available from the app store.
You cannot delete what is in the app store. nor can you erase your previous history of purchasing the app.

That is hard to say accuratetely. As it depends on the format and length of audio. If you know the average file size of the Audio files you wish to transfer you can easily calculate.
Otherwise its like asking how many books fit in a 2 by 2 box The answer will vary largely by type and size of book.
For a base comparison normal mp3's at around 3 minutes in length take up about 1MB per minute. so you could probably fit 20,000 of those in a 64GB iPad. considering some space is taken up by apps and OS.
Double the size for more quality, and you'll get about half. so only 10,000.
But at the end it will depend on the format, and file size of the audio.
