How many CAN ports available on 9606

Except for CAN0, is there any CAN port on RMC connector? Since the processor of MPC5125 has 4 CAN ports, can I use all of these ports?

Hi newbear,
The capabilities that Jeff mentioned are detailed in the latest version of the sbRIO-9606 user manual:
http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/373378d.pdf
The CAN and other peripherals built into the PPC are multiplexed.  Most of the processor IO pins are already used for onboard tasks (Ethernet, Serial, USB, RAM, Flash, bus to FPGA, etc), but with an RMC with onboard configuration EEPROM, you can dedicate the pins Jeff mentioned as a second CAN port.

  • How many usb ports (if any) does the 30 inch display have?

I am getting the new mac pro I know apple is going to kill the 30 inch display but as they have not done so yet I was wandering how many usb ports does it have?

    Hi macnewcomer22,
Instead of buying the Apple 30" Cinema Display, for not much more you could buy the NEC Multisync 3090WQXi, which incorporates later technology and was awarded Best in Show at MacWorld.
The Apple 30" is a good display, but the technology is about 5 years old, and later models from other manufacturers, noticeably NEC, have surpassed it:
    http://macperformanceguide.com/RecommendedDisplays.html
    http://www.pcpro.co.uk/reviews/monitors/242010/nec-multisync-lcd3090wqxi
I purchased the standard Multisync version, without the Spectraview II software, in July 2009, and I have found it to be excellent in all respects:
    http://www.nec-display-solutions.co.uk/p/uk/en/products/details/dp/Products/LCD/ Current/LCD-3090WQXi/LCD-3090WQXi.xhtml?e=e1s1
Although most resellers only stock the 3090WQXi in black, it is also available in a silver finish, which looks great alongside a Mac Pro.

  • How many LAG ports on the Dell PowerConnect 8024F?

    My new deployment
    1 x Equallogic PS4110XV with 2 controllers / 4 network ports
    3 x ESXi 5 Hosts
    2 x Dell PowerConnect 8024F 10 Gbps switch
2 x network ports from the Equallogic PS 4110XV will be connected to each of the PowerConnect 8024F switches
So how many LAG ports do I need to created on each of the PowerConnect 8024F switches?
Some says 4 and some says 2?
Or will it be better if I were to do stacking? I think the 8024F is capable of doing stacking..
I've attached a diagram of the setup. Thanks.

Is your question on how to set up link aggregation for the connections to the ESXi hosts or to the SAN?

  • How many can get connected in stratus for p2p communication?

    Hai,
How many users can get connected to the stratus? For morethan 10 users, Does it looks cool? How many streams can a user send and receive?
    Advanced Thanks

Adobe Stratus, the hosted RTMFP rendezvous service, can handle a very large number of simultaneous users.  it is limited only by the number of computers we currently have in our cluster, and we can increase its capacity by adding more physical computers.
there is no inherent limitation to the number of peers any one Flash Player application can have.  there is a default limit of 8 1:1 NetStreams that can be accepted by a publishing peer, but that number can be changed in ActionScript.  the more realistic limiting factor to the number of streams that a peer can handle is the network bandwidth available to that peer.

  • How to know status of session in tables& how many status are available?

    Hi Experts,
these are tables having of BDC Session status tablels APQD, APQI , APQL..
could any one tell me how to find the error status in the tables.
APQL is the session log table but i am unable to find the details of error session.
error status found in APQI table.
and also tell me how many status are avilable for session?
and tell me the meaning .(like E for error )
    Thanks.

    Hello Kalyan,
Please find the status of the sessions as below:
    1. New
    2. Incorrect
    3. Processed
    4. In Process
    5. In Background
    6. Being Created
    7. Locked.
I think you are asking about the status of the session. it will be in SM35 as tab strips. If you are asking about the status in the LOG it will be Success or Error and it will update at runtime through BDCLM-MART field.
I think it will help you.

  • Which mac pro configuration - how many can be effectively used

    Hi all
Well, this question has been asked many times before - and I've read the macperformanceguide.com articles - but I can't find any info relating to 2010 Mac Pros or my typical usage. So any advice/links greatly appreciated.
I'll be investing in a Mac Pro soon and really need some solid advice on whether the Quad Core 2.8 Ghz (12Gb ram), Quad Core 3.2Ghz (12 Gb ram) or 8 core 2.4 Ghz (6Gb ram, upgrading later) will be best for my needs.
Typical usage for web design on my Macbook Pro is currently the following running/open at the same time: Wacom tablet driver, time machine, billings, mamp, 2/3 browsers for testing, vmware fusion running windows xp, emails, dreamweaver, smultron/textwrangler, fireworks, photoshop, fontexplorer pro, terminal and gitx, Skype - they all end up open while I'm messing about with files, talking to sub contractors, etc. Any I may well end up with Numbers, Pages, etc open as well. My Macbook Pro (4Gb ram) is ageing and just can't handle everything quickly.
I'm looking for the best system for now and 3 years down the line. I know a lot of software still doesn't make use of multiple cores so the quad cores would seem to be initially a better bet with their faster clock speeds. But I don't know if OS X will automatically allocate threads from different software to different cores - in which case 8 cores would help with the amount of software I'm using at the same time.
Thinking about 3 years from now the 8 core allows me to add more memory but - will the extra investment in the 8 core now provide a real benefit in 2-3 years or will the extra ram potential advantage be negated by heavier, hungrier software requiring faster speeds from other parts of the system.
Which ever system I get, I'll be adding extra hard drives over time, maybe upgrading the graphics card if that becomes necessary. It really comes down to the number of cpus, those extra cores and the extra ram possibilities.
Thanks in advance for any help!

Taking Applications that are inherently single-threaded and running them on multiple processors is a Classic unsolved problem in Computer Science. This means that Applications will only speed up when they are Hand-coded to run speedily on multiple processors. Although the latest version of Photoshop is Finally seeing this treatment, many more mundane Applications will never be done this way.
As long as it remains so (which is likely to be permanently) MegaHertz (processor speed) matters, and once you have a handful of processors MegaHertz matters a lot more than number of processors.
Your list of prospective Mac Pros does not include the Mac you should be considering first, the 6-core 3.33 GHz Westmere, available as a build-to-order option of the four-core mac Pros. It gives you the fastest clock speed of any, and its Hyper-Threading give you 12 effective processing units.
The premium price of an eight-core or 12-core is so large that you could buy another complete Mac Pro for the same price, and use them separately or as a compute-farm.
If you are handy, larger DIMMs (8GB each) are available from reputable third party memory suppliers, and they stand by their correct operation in your Mac with one caveat: They do not play nice with other sizes mixed in. So if you are contemplating large memory size, choose 8GB DIMMs from the start.
Three DIMMs is optimum, but studies are showing that the penalty for running with two DIMMs or four DIMMs is under 5 percent in real-world Applications. So starting with two 8GB DIMMS seems like a good way to go.
With this kind of large compute power, the remaining bottleneck quickly becomes Disk I/O. You should set aside a Boot Drive: a small, very fast Drive that holds only System. Library. Applications, and hidden Unix files including Paging. Users files should be moved to another drive to reduce competition for the Boot Drive. A small VelociRaptor works well for this. A small SSD is even faster.

  • How many open ports on router?

We just made an appointment for FIOS internet/TV/phone. We currently have Dish TV, Charter Cable internet and Verizon phone all billing seperate so we're getting the bundle and saving a ton.  :-)
The phone rep didn't know much about the router. She said it had 6 ports but one port is for the TV - anyone know if this is true? I don't understand why the TV would come out of the router...
I need to be able to plug 3 computers via Cat5 into the router and have 2 running wireless... anyone know if this is going to be a problem?
We're in Southern California and am wondering what router we're going to get next week - anyone know which router we're going to get?
If there are not enough ports to plug in our 3 computers then which hub, (or second router), should get get so as not to downgrade the speed??

I am also in Southern California; more specifically, in the SFV.
You have good reason to be suspicious of the salesperson; ours was a nice guy but he was not accurate on a few things. If you hunt around, you will find some PDF files that show the ONT and such. The salesperson and the documentation will tell you that the ONT can go anywhere and that there is also an OPSU (power supply) and a BBU (battery backup). A cable guy came out about a week ahead and installed the cable. He installed the cable to go to the same place that the Time-Warner cable went. Then when they came to install everything else, they said that the OPSU and BBU absolutely must go on the other side of the wall from the ONT and the ONT must go where the cable went. We were unprepared to get the installation done at that location; we had to move a bunch of stuff in a hurry. They don't tell you about that. They need to send someone out ahead of time to get things analysed and such. The salesperson also did not tell us that we must have a STB for each television that we want to use a DVR from. The salesperson also did not tell us that we can't share programming between two DVRs. The salesperson also did not tell us that the DVR units have such limited storage that many (probably most) people are surprised by the limitation. The DVR units have an eSATA and a USB port but they are not supported. We also cannot move or copy files to or from the DVRs, either to/from another DVR or to/from another computer, except maybe using a firewire.
We got a Westell 9100EM BHR router, Model Number A909100EM1510-A and Firmware Version 1.02.00.04. There is a coax cable going in, I assume it comes from the ONT; the router has 4 LAN connections and a WAN connection. I don't know what a WAN connection is for. The router also has an antenna, I assume for a wireless connection.
The DVR units use MoCA to communicate. I am not sure, but I assume that there is coax cable from the ONT to the DVR units (we have two DVRs). MoCA I think is multimedia over cable; it appears to be a standard. Each DVR has an IP address. You should be able to use a computer in the network to access each DVR's programming, such as what is to be recorded and what has been recorded. Note that I am not saying you can watch anything; you can just see the list of programs. You can use a computer to add items to be recorded. You can also install a program for use in your computer so that the DVR units can view pictures in your computers; pictures and music but not videos. I am not sure what you need to pay for to use that though.
Other than that, I have seen nothing indicating we can access the DVR from another computer. The files on the DVR are certainly not shared or anything such as that.
